Perfect house for stay!!!

Perfect location to the beach and not much traffic at all on the street. House had everything you would need to stay the week.

Great place

The house was spotless upon arrival. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood but yet walking distance to the main part of Old Orchard Beach. For older people and people needing to bring lots of stuff to the beach it was hard to walk to. We had to bring one car down to go to the beach and pay to park. It was nice to come back to a roomy house to clean up and chill out after a day in the sun and fun. The mattresses need to be upgraded, but everything else was great! See you on our next trip to Old Orchard!!

3 Avon Avenue Old Orchard Beach was a beautiful home with every possible amenity and Convenience !! 6 Bedrooms , 2 Full Baths , Lovely and Thoughtfully Decorated Throughout!

Thanks for a great week. This rental was clean and had lots of room. The downstairs floor plan made movement between rooms easy. This doesn’t always happen with an older home. The air conditioning in the generous sized bedrooms made for comfortable sleeping. We did enjoy the quietness of the neighborhood. If I could change anything I’d ask for an update to their welcoming letter that gave instructions for locks, keys (missing) and grilling fuel tanks (one missing). But this was minor, and we did appreciate responses when we questioned these missing things. All in all, a nice place to stay at a reasonable price. PS: The great washer and dryer really helped keep up with the need for clean towels and clothing.

Great house in nice area

The owners are great and communicating with them was a text away. House was clean when we got there, and 6 bedrooms was perfect for our group. The new outdoor shower worked great after the beach trip, and perfect for 2 over 80 to shower outdoors. Back yard is awesome. Kitchen is Roomy and had all we needed. Washer and dryer were new. Air conditioner in kitchen would make this a 6 star house. All bedrooms were awesome. 2 living rooms were perfect and big dining table was perfect for card games at night. Beautiful spacious home/great location

We were a family of 12. This home has plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Convenient to the beach and pier which we visited several times. Also relatively close to Portland and Kennebunkport that we also visited a couple times. The Beach was clean and beautiful, perfect for the young ones in our group. We took a scenic lobster tour and saw former President Bush on his Patio, saw some dolphins and seals. We also did a whale watching tour, saw a Mink and Humpback. Was very exciting!

Review of 3 Avon St

Large lovely older home that is a short walk to the beach or OOrchard Pier area. There were 6 large bedrooms with A/C and a TV. The downstairs was spacious and offered many places to sit and relax. The backyard was not that large, and was directly in the sun from noon time on. We found many of the wooden chairs were getting very loose and not feeling that secure, so we were careful about using them. Fortunately there were quite a few plastic and metal chairs to use as well. Because we we there in July during some hot days and after long days at the beach or outdoors, we most often ate indoors where the ACs and ceiling fans kept it cooler. We were a large blended family getting together after two years apart, and meeting my son's new family for the first time since they were married last spring. I must say this house offered plenty of spaces to sit and talk and laugh, which made for a memorable week for all of us. Our ages ranged from 14 to 72. As the senior citizen of the group with bad knees the only issue I had were the stairs; they were very steep. Also upon using the shower, I found it to be quite slippery, and afterwards I tried to locate a bath mat to use but couldn't find one. I would suggest to have one placed in each tub because I wasn't the only person from our group that had that problem. Once I told my kids about the slippery tub, they said to use the outdoor shower, and I must admit that was a treat! Overall our families were very pleased with this house, its space, the amenities provided, and its location and that's not easy to do for 12 people. Maine vacation

Kitchen was too hot! No air in the kitchen. House was spacious and clean. Quiet neighborhood except when the train comes through. 10 minute walk to the beach. Beds need updating. Overall we enjoyed our stay , but would not stay again without those improvements mentioned above.

Perfect vacation house for a large group

This house worked well for our family vacation - every couple years our immediate family gets together for a week so there are lots of people including a few kids that head to bed early. The house is close to the beach and lots of fun things to do in Old Orchard Beach. OOB is near a lot of interesting places so we had plenty of activities to chose from. There are some beach items - chairs, umbrella, boogie boards - in the basement that were very handy. It was unseasonably warm during our stay so it was a bit warm on the first floor (no a/c units) but each bedroom had a/c. The owners were very responsive and easy to work with during the entire process. Overall we had plenty of room and enjoyed our family vacation!

The house was great. It was very comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed to cook and visit the beach with. The bedrooms were comfortable and cooled with air conditions for a good nights sleep. The back yard was large and loved the grill and table with chairs. My only disappoints were we had to clean the vacuum cleaner to use it. Also the lower level was very hot and the stand up fan stopped working a few days after arriving. It was unusually hot weather while we were there.

Great for big families

Our large extended family enjoyed our stay here in this nice roomy house in a quiet neighborhood. We barely saw any of the neighbors. The sleeping options worked out great. Nice big kitchen with plenty of cooking and eating utensils. Could use a couple of things, like a can opener which might be there but we couldn't find, and also longer handled tools for the grill, but we were able to manage with what was there. We enjoyed the good sized back yard, nice big gas grill and outdoor table with lots of seating. Loved that there were boogie boards available in the basement to take to the beach, as well as a beach cart and beach chairs if needed. Inside is nicely decorated with beach themed art on the walls, There are TVs in the bedrooms and a big screen TV in the living room. Also lots of AC's and ceiling fans to keep you cool on hot days. It's a short walk to the beach and pier and also has plenty of room for parking available as well. This house is definitely on our list of places our family would stay at again. We had a great time.

Super rapport qualité prix

Une maison spatieuse et située dans un quartier tranquille et à proximité de la plage 8 Minutes de marche ainsi que du parc, de la pharmacie et épicerie. Nous étions très confortable à 9 adultes et 4 enfants. Il n'y a pas de service de nettoyage donc il faut faire sois même le ménage avant de quitter. La cour arrière est grande et cest agréable de manger dehors.

Great house, perfect fit for a large family! Loved our week in OOB!

We had a great time on Avon ave. Beautiful neighborhood and the house was great! We had a few plumbing issues with the dish washer and sink, but the owners quickly resolved them. Our children loved having their own rooms and the air conditioners were wonderful. There is one room without an AC that I hope might have one next year. The kitchen was perfect, large enough to cook and have a wonderful family and friends dinner! The family rooms, were both super inviting and clean and the TV was perfect to relax with after a long day at the beach. The back yard is perfect and has a very large table to have a lobster feast on. The walk to the shore was only about 8 minutes and very easy. We are super happy we choose this home and will hopefully be back for another great vacation in OOB next year!

Maison idéale pour une grande famille avec enfants

Nous avons apprécié cette belle grande maison du Maine située dans un quartier tranquille. Pas trop proche du centre, mais assez pour s'y rendre à pied si on a le goût. La maison est grande, confortable et idéale pour une grande famille, avec ses 2 grands salons et sa grande véranda. Tout le monde peut avoir de l'espace et de la tranquillité. Les chambres sont au deuxième et troisième étage, donc on peut dormir sans être dérangé par le bruit des salons et de la cuisine. Les chambres sont grandes (spécialement 2 d'entre elles) et climatisées. Ce fut apprécié par cette semaine de canicule. 2 chambres de bain avec douche et bain. Idéal avec de jeunes enfants. La maison est bien équipée avec son lave-vaisselle, laveuse-sécheuse. Grande télévision. On a même pu écouter les Olympiques à Radio Canada en français ! Le terrain permet aux enfants de s'amuser à l'extérieur. Et à tous de manger à l'extérieur avec le barbecue et la très grande table. Il y a aussi pas mal d'équipement pour la plage, beaucoup de chaises, de planches, de parasols. On a redécouvert Old Orchard avec sa très belle plage, moins dense que Wells et Ogunquit. La communication avec le propriétaire s'est bien passé et s'est fait rapidement. On y retournera.

Perfect Family Getaway!

This spacious 6 bedroom home easily accommodated 3 generations of our large family. The beach, amusement park and all OOB entertainment and restaurants were only a short <5 minute walk while the home provided a resting place, just far enough away from the action, where we could enjoy our peace and quiet as well. There was a huge yard to play in for the kids and for the adults to relax and play lawn games. I highly recommend this lovely home for your next stay!
