Large lovely older home that is a short walk to the beach or OOrchard Pier area. There were 6 large bedrooms with A/C and a TV. The downstairs was spacious and offered many places to sit and relax. The backyard was not that large, and was directly in the sun from noon time on. We found many of the wooden chairs were getting very loose and not feeling that secure, so we were careful about using them. Fortunately there were quite a few plastic and metal chairs to use as well. Because we we there in July during some hot days and after long days at the beach or outdoors, we most often ate indoors where the ACs and ceiling fans kept it cooler. We were a large blended family getting together after two years apart, and meeting my son's new family for the first time since they were married last spring. I must say this house offered plenty of spaces to sit and talk and laugh, which made for a memorable week for all of us. Our ages ranged from 14 to 72. As the senior citizen of the group with bad knees the only issue I had were the stairs; they were very steep. Also upon using the shower, I found it to be quite slippery, and afterwards I tried to locate a bath mat to use but couldn't find one. I would suggest to have one placed in each tub because I wasn't the only person from our group that had that problem. Once I told my kids about the slippery tub, they said to use the outdoor shower, and I must admit that was a treat! Overall our families were very pleased with this house, its space, the amenities provided, and its location and that's not easy to do for 12 people.
