A Wispful Dream – Charming 4 Bedroom Log Home with Hot Tub, Fireplace, Pool Table in Deep Creek Lake, Deep Creek Lake (Near Wisp Resort)

This charming log home is nestled in the heart of Deep Creek Lake, offering the perfect retreat for families and friends. This spacious tri-level home features 4 cozy bedrooms and 3 modern bathrooms, ensuring comfort and convenience for everyone. Located just minutes from Wisp Ski Resort, A Wispful Dream is your gateway to year-round adventure. Whether you're hitting the slopes in winter or exploring the lake and surrounding trails in the summer, you'll find endless activities right at your doorstep.

The main floor features an open-concept kitchen, dining room, and living area with a cozy gas fireplace, perfect for gathering with family and friends. This floor also includes two inviting bedrooms, offering easy access to all the home's amenities. Upstairs, you'll find a private bedroom that provides a peaceful retreat, while the lower level offers an additional bedroom and a spacious living area complete with a second fireplace and a pool table, ideal for indoor entertainment. Step outside to enjoy the home's outdoor amenities, including a relaxing hot tub, a firepit for evening gatherings, and a deck equipped with a gas grill and dining area for alfresco meals. With it's blend of charm and modern amenities, A Wispful Dream is the perfect getaway for those seeking both relaxation and adventure in the Deep Creek Lake area.

THIS HOME is not pet-friendly (undisclosed pet fee will be charged at 3x advertised pet fee). Max. parking spaces: 6. Park in driveway.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW: Minimum Age to Rent is 25 years old. Check-In is between 4 pm – 9 pm. Check-Out is by 10 am. Smoking/Vaping, Parties, Exceeding Max Occupancy or Pet Limit are not allowed.


WHAT TO BRING: Supplies are not provided; plan to bring all paper products, food/spices, coffee filters, trash bags, detergents, soaps, toiletries, household items, supplies and extra towels, if necessary. (Bed Sheets, Bath Towels, and Dishes are provided for max occupancy.)

WINTER RESERVATIONS: A 4WD vehicle is required to access rentals between November through April. Private driveways will not be snow-plowed unless and until there is 5 inches of snow.

RESERVATION PROCESS: (1) At time of booking- Electronically Sign the Rental Agreement to trigger your door codes and Pre-Arrival Information to be automatically sent. Door Codes will NOT be released without an e-signed agreement. (2) One day prior to arrival- You will receive Pre-Arrival Information that contains your door lock code, address and other important info. [If you do not receive it by noon that day, check your spam folder. If you still don't see it please call us directly to ensure a smooth check-in].

This cabin was beautiful and perfect size for our group of 8. We really enjoyed our stay, close to store but felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. It snowed while we were there and made it feel magical. I highly recommend this place.

Great location, needs some updates

Overall a great spot for a family vacation - awesome location, close to everything we wanted to do, great for kids, plenty of space for 7 of us. The place in general felt a little unlcean - floors were dirty, needed to be vacuumed, rugs and carpets needed a deep cleaning or just need to be replaced completely. The lower level was very musty and damp. We had to run a dehumidifier the whole time which helped. Had issues getting into the cabin upon arrival. The code didnt work but was quickly resolved by the host. The hot tub was not working properly - only half the jets worked but we still made use of it. Overall, I'd recommend the place, but for the price we paid, we were a bit disappointed that some things weren't up to the standards that it should have been.

Great stay for a ski weekend

We had a very smooth stay for a ski weekend at Wisp. The house was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The location was perfect for access to Wisp, grocery stores, and restaurants. It also had a lot of fun games stocked for kids. Great for a weekend away with friends and early elementary school kids. We had a minor issue getting into the house at check in but the property manger was really responsive and we were able to resolve it quickly. We would stay again!

A 5-day Dream Vacation

This beautiful home in a wooded setting provided the space for 6 of us to enjoy each others company and yet have time alone. Son and wife, daughter and husband (visiting from New Zealand, and us older parents all played pool, enjoyed the hot tub, took long walks, cooked for each other in a spacious kitchen, and ate out locally. We also enjoyed a local hard cidery, fall festival and antique shop. Gas fireplaces on two floors, 3 bathrooms, and a cafe nook, kept things carefree and easy going. A short walk to Shop N Save made food runs easy and convenient. Will book this home again, with pleasure.

Extended Weekend

Relatively private location so things were nice and quiet. No bears, but plenty of rabbits and deer made wildlife watching entertaining. The house is beautiful and well kept. It was clean and had everything we needed to cook a few meals inside and outside on the grill. I had to clean the grill before use and it seems to have an issue with gas flow to the back of the burners but we made due and everything came out OK. As other reviews pointed out, the door locks to the decks are a bit tricky to lock, but it's not that big of a deal. We didn't use the TV's or stereo much but everything seemed in good working order. WIFI was useable throughout the house so anyone glued to their phones will be pleased. Hot water and good pressure were readily available as long as everyone didn't decide to shower or wash clothes at the same time. The beds were OK, some more comfortable than others. The sofa proved to be a better option for a couple of family members. The pool table was a nice touch, even for those of us that are novice at best. The hot tub was used by the younger adults except for the first night when the water temperature wasn't in the acceptable range. The fire pit was nice although a chair or two were unusable. Plenty of room for the family to gather around. We brought firewood from home and left a few behind for the next visitor. Although the house is not lakeside, it is within walking distance of several shops. Grounds crew came and trimmed the lawn while we were there. They were very friendly and respectful. Check-In and Check-Out were private and painless.

Mixed Messages

A nice cabin in a quiet location. Be aware that late March/early April can have dicey weather (6 inches of snow and 17 degrees on arrival, 70 and sunny mid-week, thunderstorms and more snow end of visit)! Despite Vacasa's written assurance that all listed amenities were on good working condition, the hot tub did not work and the gas grill burners were clogged and not usable. Note: Vacasa was aware of the hot tub issue since the tech they sent when we reported the problem said a new control pad was already ordered. Overall we had an enjoyable 5-night family reunion, but will not likely visit this location again.

Great Guys Weekend Trip.

We had a great time at the cabin. It was in a perfect location tucked away from other cabins so we felt like we were in our our area by ourselves. It was great to be so close to everything that Wisp offers. It is only a 5min drive to the Wisp resort and 7min to the lake. We cant wait to come back!

Overall we had a great stay!

This is a nice house with ample lawn space, some privacy, a nice fire pit area, and it's convenient to restaurants and grocery stores. We liked that the house was not decorated primarily with hunting trophies; no deer heads in the bedrooms here! As others have mentioned the doors are a royal pain to lock, and the flatware/cookware/appliances are very low end but if that's my biggest complaint then that says a lot. Would definitely return.

Great Family Vacation

House was terrific. We used the pool table and hot tub everyday!! The area was wonderful lots to do, recommend the mountain coaster! Worth the wait if a line. The only downside of the house is the locks, latches, and plumbing fixtures need replaced. Hard to lock some of the doors and issues with the downstairs bathroom fixtures. Other than that it was a great house, would recommend it!!
