Great House

This house was perfect for our family trip. One couple and two other adults. The house layout is fantastic. We loved having two kitchens and living spaces. I can’t say enough about the view. Alex was great to work with. She was very responsive

Excellent location

Property was what we expected. Location was amazing. Excellent views of the night sky from the dock. No issues with our stay. Owner was quick to respond to questions. We swam and snorkeled off the dock. Lots of sea life around. We barely used the house as we wanted to be outside enjoying the views! Will be back again. Highly recommend for families

Great setting. Inside needs some help.

Some things broken. Some windows don't open. Only 2 usable bedrooms. Third " bedroom" is stuffed into a corner and is next to the water pump which came on loudly every time any water was turned on in the house. 2nd Bathroom was in this bedroom so others using it had to come in to the bedroom. No closets in 2 bedrooms. No dishwasher. Heated by small plug in heaters. Dining table only seated 4, and no other place to eat.

Great access for fishing

If you are looking for easy access to Atlantic for fishing or hanging out on a reef, this is your spot. Good for multiple families with multiple boats. Very responsive property managers.

Great Location - Perfect for Fishing and Diving

My family had a wonderful time staying for 10 days over mini lobster season. The location was perfect. We could walk to Kiki's Bar and Restaurant for live music and food. Gas for the boat is just across Pine Channel. Short drive to groceries, gas, pharmacy, and bait. Property manager was quick to respond. Long dock with water for the boat. My only wish was power at the end of the dock to recharge my trolling motor. Otherwise, great stay!

Great getaway

We had a great time. The location was great, water front, dock, walking distance to nearby restaurant. We used the screen in porch upstairs to sit and relax in the breeze. The house is older but as is the case with most every property in the keys I have stayed at. Any concerns we had we discussed with property manager which were addressed right away. But overall great time and would love to return in the future.

Disappointed and disgusted

Great location the house is a complete dump. Kids got bed bugs dishes were dirty filled with bugs. Both floors smelled of mildew had to wait 1.5 hours to access the property.

Great location

We came to town for a girls weekend to celebrate my best friend turning 30 and running the key west half marathon. The house is in the perfect location to quickly get to key west and other keys. The backyard was our favorite area and has the best sunrises. The owner was quick to respond on any question. Will definitely be saving this location to stay at in the future. Everything in the house was in perfect condition

Loved the place and location

Just bathrooms had no toilet paper upon arrival and we had a long trip to arrive there with no toilet paper Also lower guest home sure needs two futons rather than just two blanquette covering them they fell down all the time and I was the one staying there at lower home as I was kind to have my mother in law on top area :)

Great place on the water!

We rented the whole house. Great view from the upstairs porch, beautiful sunrises, great dock, good location for fishing, lobstering and diving Looe Key. Close to Key West for a day trip. Only negatives would be it was hard to keep the downstairs living area cool and small ants in the kitchen. But overall very clean. We enjoyed our stay very much and would rent this house again.

Great Weekend Retreat

The space was perfect for our group of 4 adults. We were looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle and spend a few days unplugged. The snorkeling underneath the dock was surprisingly good and our favorite activity during our stay. Meals on the screened porch were a close second. We prepared all of our meals on site and we found the kitchen to be well stocked for the most part and we made it work but we did find it difficult to find basic things (mixing bowls) and had to improvise a bit. Overall, a fantastic stay and plenty of room for our group.

Very decent but no frills.

VRBO had very few houses available to rent for only two nights. This one was available so we booked it. I thought it was a little run down for the price we paid. However we had no real issues with the place and it is very much as advertised. Good communication with the manager and great view of the water.

BEAUTIFUL VIEW and WATER ACCESSIBLE

ON A SCALE OF 1 to 10, WE (5 SENIOR ADULTS) RATE THIS @ 7. THERE WERE STAIRS TO NAVIGATE, AND OFF-SETS BETWEEN ROOMS ON THE FIRST FLOOR. IMPROVEMENTS COULD BE MADE BY CLEARING OUT RUSTY/BROKEN FURNITURE, ETC.

Comfortable, not fancy.

This property is as advertised, nothing fancy, but the inside was clean and the beds were comfortable. As we were one large family I would have preferred an inside staircase between the two units instead of walking up the outside stairs every time. I would not recommend this place to young families or elderly as the bottom unit has many uneven levels and an open stairs to half of the unit. There were also a lot of exposed electrical wires. However, the house is in a great location for fishing and snorkeling the reef. The dock is easily accessible and the boat ramp is nearby. We understand we have visited post Irma, but the outside of the property is in need of some work and cleanup. This rental would be perfect for several couples or a guys fishing trip, especially if you are like us and want a place to sleep and shower between fishing trips.

Mixed emotions!

The location was perfect for our group of 7 adults and space was good. The dock and whole back yard area were beautiful and relaxing. The listed said there was an outside shower which I was looking forward to, but the faucet handle is broken and rusted. My husband had to use the 4 X 4 that was laying there to turn it on and off for me. Although listing gives items that come with rental; one important item was quite insufficient. For seven adults the two bathrooms only came with 1/2 roll each of toilet paper only; no paper towels for the kitchen. We had an issue with electrical outlets in the kitchen, but we were able to work around it. Mixed signals about checkout time; lease agreement reads differently than the listing. So our experience was we were loading up our vehicle when cleaning crew arrived, and although we told them we were done in the house they could get started - they left. We left 5 minutes later. Sure hope I am not charged extra.

Needs TLC

All the reviews below are accurate. The good ones and the bad, great location and keys are fun, but they need to take care of the place. This is not professionally managed and overpriced. It does have bugs, German cockroaches, ants, and spiders. The top floor is not attached to the bottom internally so your kids will need to lock the door or come outside and upstairs if they need you unless they have a cell phone. It is old, lots of makeshift furniture and that’s ok, but they at least need to have lights on the stairs that work. The dock is new in the pictures, but has deteriorated since. I had to message for checkin info and construction next door was well into Friday night-cement truck and loaders running until 7:30. Rusty forklift and furniture still there… seems nothing has changed in years with this place. If I had a home to rent out for the price they are charging, I’d take more pride in it or at least supply toilet paper. (No I did not message the property manager for tp, we handled it ourselves after the first 2 complaints).

Some good, some bad.

Arrived at 12:30 a.m., no fault of the property, more from delayed flights, and not having our car available. Anyway, arrived late, ready for bed. After figuring out who was staying where we picked our room. Downstairs adjacent to the front door. This room is tiny with a king bed, not much room to move with luggage in the room. The bed in this room is in desperate need of replacement. A good nights stay is only possible if you have been traveling for 19 hours and tie one on real tight before hand. This bed has a literal gutter running through the middle of it. You and your spouse can’t even sleep on your own edges. Worst I have ever encountered. This bedroom needs the bed downsized to a high quality queen size, when I say high quality, go for a tempurpedic. It will make the size of the room ok if it can be slept on. Bedroom 2 was reported ok by a 15 year old. Trying to enter the upstairs was made easier by either a prior tenant or cleaning staff. Whoever of which was too distracted to understand exactly which key box to use for keys, so they literally broke in. Maybe a hint to Walter the property manager to upgrade the entry system. So my 70 your old parent stayed in the upstairs suite without the security of locking the doors. Anyway the upstairs was really nice. All and all the experience was nice. It could have been wonderful but fell short. In summery, whoever own this (alex), you should get ahold of me. This place could be really awesome with a little TLC. To whoever manages this place (Walter), you suck and your clearly ripping off Alex. If your management is any indication of who you are, let’s say you leave a lot to be desired. Oh, and the house keepers, total rude trash people who all literally acted as if they were on day one when I tried to offer them a suggestion, wasn’t even being rude to them.

We purchased this property because it is near our favorite fishing, spearfishing, lobstering and diving spots plus has stunning sunrises and sunsets. Nice big private lot and a 290 ft breathtaking private dock.
It also has a great advantage, no matter if it is rainy, cloudy or windy out in the ocean, you always get to fish right off the dock!
