The host was very accomodating. We were able to check in a bit early which was a big help. They provided advance info on cooking supplies. Thwy even provided a firestock so pur group could log in to our account and watch Wicked on the downstairs tv. We even used the snow tubing in front of the house and toured the holiday lights. Great stay and good hosts.

Booked this property for my entire extended family for a wedding. It was perfect for the 18 of us with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space to relax. The common areas were also big enough for us all to have a conversation.

Place exceeded our expectations.Basement space was large enough for a wedding reception. Gas fireplace was a nice luxury we didn't realize we were getting.We're looking forward to our next stay!

Pet friendly, some trouble with refrigerator, could use a tv in living room and annex sitting area. Could also use a couple of comfortable chairs/recliners. The apartment was infested with stink bugs. Overall it was a great place for us to come together to celebrate our brother.

A long weekend in Harper’s Ferry

We were extremely satisfied with everything except the grill. We were planning to BBQ but the grill was broken and we were disappointed. Otherwise, we loved the property.

Comfortable getaway

Our stay was great and really enjoyed the house. We had so much space to have our own time and then still be able to come together for meals and hanging in the hot tub. We now want to come back in the winter and go to the sledding hill right in front of the house!

Family DC History Trip

We used this beautiful home for a history trip of DC landmarks and regional Civil War Battlefields. The location was great. The drive into DC averaged about an hour and 45 minutes in the mornings due to traffic, but all the other Civil War destinations were much less and the house is large and very well maintained. The family loved sitting in the hot tub each night after a long day of walking and had the extra pleasure of a herd of deer that greeted us each night next along side the driveway to the house each night on our return for that day's excursions. Would defiantly stay here again!

The property is excellent, and the description of the property is very accurate. Especially the video when you check the property on a computer (the app on a mobile device does not show video). Wonderful Gathering Place

What a perfect home for our Thanksgiving celebration! There were so many rooms in which to spread out, the beds were comfortable, and the location was central to necessities. We had a great stay!

Pluses and minuses

The house was very clean. Our big complaint was the lack of comfortable seating. The sofas may look nice but they are not comfortable seating. We were surprised to see snow being made practically in the front yard for snow tubing. Fortunately it was not open yet. The noise would have bothered some of us. Over all if I were to go to Harper’s Ferry I would still choose this house. The location is close proximity to everything.

Couples get away

No surprises. We got what we saw in the extensive photos. A bit of confusion with the lower level shower. It looked like a conventional two valve setup but actually one handle turned the water on and off while the other adjusted the water temperature. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking.

Seniors Beware

Location is great. House is very large. There is a tenant on the property which was not included in the listing. There are 3 narrow brick steps leading to the front door but NO handrail, and no handrail to step down to the patio.No grab bars in the shower/tubs. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, 2 with king beds, 2 with 2 sets of bunkbeds, so there is bedding for 8 but only 1 shared bathroom.It worked fine for us, we were 3 couples, so one took the upstairs, one the main floor and one the finished basement. everything is large but dated. The kitchen definitely needs refurbishing. The downstairs shower had no hot water. The owner was very prompt to get someone to attend to it, but it took another day. We requested a toaster, which kitchen did not have and she supplied it promptly. 10 AM check out was a bit rushed for us.

Great House With Plenty of Space

Thanks for a great house for our family Christmas. We had ages 4-88 and everyone had a great time! Loved the hot tub and the fireplace best!

Clean and spacious

This place was perfect for our family gathering. There was so much space to spread out. My favorite part was how clean it was. That's so important to us. The owners were great, we had to change dates and there were questions about the pricing and they were so patient with us while it all got figured out. I highly suggest this rental and since we have family close by, we will probably be using those place again!

We also have an annex available for an additional fee if you add extra guests. We have staff on hand to assist you during business hours and emergency phone service after hours. The house is perfect for a DC getaway or extended visit to Harpers Ferry.
