Interesting spot if a little removed from sooke itself. Great for exploration purposes. Very fun to hear seals barking as we went to sleep in the very comfy beds (with good linens)!

Wonderful older house that is well maintained and has everything a family could need. The grounds were nice, enjoyed the picnic table. The beach is small with pebbles, but some of our family went swimming. Overall a grear place to stay

We stayed for one month at Ann's Cottage. It is cosy and spotlessly clean. The interior is dated but the furniture and beds are newer and very comfortable. The location in East Sooke is remote from the town of Sooke and therefore quiet and private. Location is convenient for accessing many different hiking trails but it's a bit far to run into town for groceries.The host, Cheryl, is gracious and responsive to all our needs. Our dogs loved the huge yard.Check in was easy. The kitchen is tiny yet equipped with everything anyone could possibly need.

Hummingbird Oasis

My husband and I and our dogs stayed at this lovely property. It is rare that we find accommodations that will accept it animals. The check in was very easy, the cottage was very clean and had everything we needed to have a great stay. The fresh cookies that awaited us when we arrived were stellar. There was a hummingbird feeder with nectar to refill it in the fridge. We watched hummingbirds come and go for hours. Excellent get away!

Needed time away

My wife and I needed to get away from snow and ice.We typically travel into the States for warmer weather. This year with all the commotion between Canada and the United States we felt it was better to stay home so Vancouver Island turned out to be our logical choice. It did rain Fair amount but we had several beautiful days. There are so many beautiful places to see and things to do.Location is definitely not luxurious but for our two pets and my wife and I to get away it was perfect a beautiful yard and quaint home to stay in exactly what the doctor ordered. Sure the coffee pot could’ve been a Keurig or something similar but that wasn’t what was needed. All we needed was a place to be away and this fit the bill perfectly thank you so much Doug and Cheryl we love Darcy and so did our pets.

Peaceful and quiet

The cottage had everything we needed. We absolutely loved the country setting. We would definitely recommend this to family and friends that need a tranquil getaway. When we arrived there were beautiful flowers and freshly baked cookies to welcome us which we didn’t expect. Our overall stay was amazing.

An Amazing Stay In East Sooke !

We have stayed in many rental homes in the Sooke area over the last 15 yrs and have to say this cottage is one of our very favorites. Situated on the East side of the Sooke basin, it is very quiet and relaxing. The cottage was extremely clean, well equipped and very cozy. The fresh cookies and flowers from the care takers Cheryl and Doug was a nice gesture and they made us feel totally at home. They are wonderful people. Looking very forward to going back soon again. Perfect beginning to a 77th Birthday

This little gem is absolutely perfect. Away from the hustle and bustle of Victoria but close enough to get there in a pinch. Quiet and cozy. We were met with fresh flowers in each room, a welcome card and fresh baked cinnamon rolls despite the caretaker having a broken back! That's what I call commitment to being a perfect host!!!!! Days were spent exploring while evenings were spent watching the sunset on the deck. We recommend this cottage wholeheartedly!

Quiet Cottage

Our family enjoyed our time at Ann's Cottage. It is a very quiet neighbourhood. The cottage is well-kept. A great treat were the hummingbirds and deer that visited the property.

Very tranquil

Beautiful waterside location. Very nice welcome package from Cheryl, carefully considered and thoughtful. 5+ for cleanliness, well equipped, comfortable, great views, visits from deer and humming birds. Cheryl was very available for anything we needed yet at the same time we had privacy for our stay. We are definately coming back here as soon as we can this summer Thank you Cheryl

Beautiful hideaway

We had an absolute perfect time. We felt at home. The view was amazing, it was nice and quiet and the Hummingbirds were fabulous. The cottage is comfortabel and provides in everything you might need.we absolutely recommend this place.

Excellent

An immaculate seaside cottage, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hosts, Cheryl and Doug, care about their guests and it shows in all the lovely, personal touches. The location is close to beautiful East Sooke Park, offering lovely walks and the funky town of Sooke is just across the water, if you need groceries or restaurants. The walk along the ocean at Whiffen Spit is not to be missed!

Super fun get away from the hustle and bustle of life!

Our best friends came for our vacation and the cabin was a wonderful place to feel like a kid again! We may be between 55-67 years of age but you are never to old for playing in the water, floaties, bean bag toss, bachi, water pistol fights, s’mores, competitive card games , and the list of fun and laughs could go on for pages. The cabin was comfy cozy, and our pups loved romping around the big yard! Would highly highly recommend this vrbo to any family looking for some fun, sun and great memories of family time. See you next year!

Amazing place to stay

Ann’s cottage is an amazing place to stay, the view from the deck is beautiful and the cottage is comfortable and charming. I stayed for a long weekend and I wish I could have stayed for a week! Cheryl was a great host and made sure my check in process went smoothly and that myself and my dog felt welcomed. I would absolutely stay here again.

If you want to lose yourself in nature

Loved watching the humming birds. Great view. Should have brought some bikes though Proper location to get away from it all and yet less than an hour from Victoria in the car.

Hi! My name is Cheryl and I manage the cottage for my friend Ann....hence the name 'Ann's Seaside Cottage'. I live next door with my husband Doug and our Standard Poodle Lewy who is very friendly yet looks like white lightning when racing to the gate to say 'Hi'. My goal (that I gratefully work toward) is to ensure that guests feel welcome the moment they walk through the door...fresh flowers, Scones or Cookies await and I will happily put my concierge hat if asked. We respect your privacy however quickly available if needed. Best job on the Planet😊

Ann's Seaside Cottage is situated on a no thru street on Sooke Harbour with easy steps to a small pebble beach, with a beautiful handcrafted picnic bench under the apple trees close to the sea...it doesn't get better than that....we even had a beautiful wedding underneath the apple trees!

The cottage is funky, clean, a well stocked kitchen, comfy furniture, wifi, electric fireplace, books, games, binoculars...a very cozy place to call home for a few days or a few weeks.
