It was a beautiful beach view. We were right on the beach. The sunrises were beautiful. The cottage had all around windows so any window you looked out you had a beautiful view.

Beautiful home. Lots to do with paddle boards, kayak and dinghy. Gorgeous views, great location. Communication with host was top notch. Overall so much magic here. We will definitely be back!

This little cottage was lovely! The location was close to the town of Sooke without giving up quite and seclusion. I loved watch the sun rise over the water each morning.

This is a fabulous place. Two walls of the living area and one wall of the main bedroom are filled with huge picture windows, giving you incredibly gorgeous, nonstop views of the bay—from all over the house. I’d rent this place again for the views alone. But I hope to rent it again for many other reasons, too: a well-stocked kitchen, a very nice and responsive owner, thoughtful amenities, charming decor, and welcoming touches through out. It is wonderful place for a vacation.

Wonderful stay!

The cottage was perfect inside and out. The view was priceless. The driveway is narrow and steep but provided the privacy we wanted. The only problem I can think of was our time there was too short. Thank you for letting us stay in this gem you have in Sooke, BC.We will definitely come again :)

So relaxed

This was a wonderful stay! Beautiful views, wonderful hosts, fully equipped kitchen, hot tub, outdoor hot water shower. Our weather was fabulous and every person we came in contact with was upbeat, nice and helpful.

Family weekend away.

Great location right on the water. Comfortable cottage with nice views. We enjoyed sitting on the various decks and around the fire pit on the beach. We would rent this again if possible.

A wonderful place to stay

We had an amazing week here. It was so peaceful and the wildlife was fantastic - daily otter visits, seals, hummingbirds, geese, butterflies. The cottage felt like home immediately and we had everything we needed. This is the nicest place in Sooke we've ever stayed in and we will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners have made the house welcoming and comfortable. Views from inside, and outside were incredible. We highly recommend Sea Wash Cottage. It is convenient to groceries, while in a smaller, quiet location.

The space is almost instantly blissful with birdsong and water/people sounds from a distance. Except when the tide is out and people wander close by, there is a feeling of separation from it all. Sufficiently secluded.Our three star review is the result of poor housekeeping. We washed all our dishes. However, this was a getaway and we spent no time washing smeared windows that significantly diminished our view. The hot tub had been left uncleaned and we needed to wash sticky, oily brown neck rings away and shock the pool before we were comfortable getting in.The BBQ was a rusty, mouldy disaster that I immediately set to work on as we planned most meals grilled on it.Firewood was minimal and hidden away.Our feedback to owner outlined the above, and Shelley was quick to reply and offer her cleaner to come in for repair, however, such would steal away from our seclusion and was declined in favour of self managing these issues. Shelly also offered a minimal return without our requesting it.At the price point of this property, there should be no complaints. The property should be pristine and well laid out ahead of time. Had our experience been as anticipated, we would likely consider going back. If the owners remedy the noted issues, you will likely enjoy your stay.

Relaxing by the water

This property was exactly as shown. It is extremely quaint and relaxing. There are many sitting areas to view the water, and the view through the front windows is outstanding. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

We live in Victoria and love to get away to our cottage in just 35 minutes we feel like we're hundreds of miles away from it all.

My husband and I purchased this property because you just can't have a house any closer to the water!
Jeff was raised in Sooke so knows the area very well he said this place has it all Fly fishing at your doorstep salmon fishing minutes away and the town of Sooke 2 minutes away.
I love the peace and quiet, watching the wildlife, sipping wine in the hot tub, reading by the fire or entertaining friends with fresh crab caught right next to our float ... heaven.
