It’s all about the view of spectacular red rock towers and mesas in this private home on 5 acres with a king bed and full bath in the main house, and a king bed, twin bed and full bath in the detached guest house.
Castle Valley is a designated night sky community with millions of stars at night, and breathtaking mornings at first light and evenings at golden hour. Expansive windows beneath 17 and 14 foot ceilings and an oversized patio provide a seamless transition between the comforts of home and the great outdoors. Deer, rabbits, tiny chipmunks, minuscule lizards, and a variety of birds and hummingbirds are at home here too. Listen to the quiet, breathe easy, sleep well and eat well here in this magical place - with countless opportunities for adventure - the hiking, biking, river rafting, rock climbing, jeeping, horseback riding and more that the Moab area is famous for just outside the door . . .
There is a full-size washer/dryer, wall mounted mini-splits and ceiling fans to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter, with many times when neither are needed and you are perfectly comfortable with open windows allowing all that juniper and Sage scented air to contribute to your well-being.

Castle Valley is a designated night sky community. Only use exterior lights when necessary after sunset, and turned off after 8:00 p.m.
Trash and recycling are picked up every other Tuesday morning. Please move cans to the driveway entrance Monday night and return the next morning.
Please fill bird feeders and bird bath as needed. Wild bird seed is provided by the owner.

My sister and I stayed here for two weeks. Castle Valley is about a 30 minute drive from Moab and 35 minutes from Arches. The drive to Castle Valley is very scenic and beautiful along the Colorado river. I cannot explain in words how wonderful it was to stay here. The house is beautiful. The views are amazing and the peacefulness of the desert was wonderful. Waking up to the views of Castle Valley for every sunrise against red rock cliffs was such a delight and the sunsets and night time skies were spectacular.Cate was very easy to communicate with and answered all our questions. She even left us a list of hikes which were very close to the house.We cooked every meal at the house and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed.The beds were extremely comfortable. We had a hard time leaving. I would not hesitate one second to stay here again. It was wonderful staying out of the busyness of Moab.

Greetings, and thank you for your interest in enjoying my property in Castle Valley, Utah. I am a Colorado native and have been visiting and enjoying the Castle Valley and Moab area for 30 years. 25 years ago I purchased this 5 acres of vacant land with the dream to build a small home and retire here someday. In 2020 I began the process of bringing the utilities in from the road, drilling the well, and establishing the septic and leach field. The home and detached guest studio were completed in Sept. 2022 and they turned out more beautiful than I ever imagined. Because of business and family responsibilities, I need to divide my time between Denver and Castle Valley, however, I am recently retired and look forward to more time in Castle Valley. I enjoy hiking, live music, reading, travelling, and time with family and friends. I will personally ensure everything is clean, beautiful and welcoming for your visit, and I'm happy to share such a rare and special place with you!

I enjoy most the quiet, beauty, privacy, deer, and the friendly and caring residents of Castle Valley. The sunrises, golden hour, and sunsets are a sight like none other. I've been coming to Castle Valley for 30 years, and I still take photos most everyday I'm there. The spectacular geography, the changing light from the sun, stars, and moon, and living with deer, rabbits, and chipmunks, and a variety of birds never gets old.
