Amazing cabin in Da Yoop

Camp Wade is absolutely perfect for a secluded get away. The location is perfectly nestled between Munising and Manistique, which allows for amazing day trips to some of the great splendors of the UP. The cabin was so clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Straits Lake was a perfect little lake and made for a beautiful backdrop to wake up to in the morning and go to bed to at night. Would highly recommend Camp Wade to anyone and plan to bring the family back in the future!

Great Cabin in the Woods

Recently stayed at this beautiful log home and it was everything I hoped it would be and more. Located in the Hiawatha Forest on a very peaceful chain of lakes you will find it very quiet and relaxing. If you do find it necessary to leave there's plenty to do nearby in Munising and Marquette all less than 60 minute drive away. Also if you like beaches make sure to take a trip to Miners Beach on the Pictured Rock shoreline, quite possibly the most beautiful beach I have ever seen!

Seclusion

Everything was great. Property was very nice. The house was awesome. Everyone enjoyed the use of the kayaks and canoe. There was a pair of bald eagles with a young eagle on the nearby island. You cannot enter the lake from the dock because of silt/muck but you can paddle to the island where there is a beach.

Family getaway

We had an amazing time at this gorgeous property. The chain of lakes is spectacular- definitely bring or rent a boat. The house is clean, spacious, and well stocked. Great fishing.

Great vacation cabin

This cabin exceeded our expectations for a secluded vacation for our family. The property was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed (we stopped for groceries along the way). The owner was available and answered any questions we had. The lake was beautiful and tranquil. You won’t regret a trip here!

Great house

This house was perfect for our getaway! It was clean and comfortable. Having use of the kayaks was so nice. My family and I loved it!! Thank you Be sure to have an idea of where to go since no cell or GPS reception around there!

Great UP place to stay!

We had a wonderful time. The property is gorgeous, nice and secluded. Our family loved to spend time on the the kayaks and canoe and fish off the dock. The house was beautiful and we had plenty of enough room for our stay. It was stocked with pantry items, linens and towels. The general store was about 10 minutes away for any items we may have forgotten. We had a really wonderful time. Would definitely stay again if we returned to the area!

Suzette's place was wonderful! Beautiful views, beautiful home, beautiful area. We had a such a nice time staying here. Super clean and everything you could imagine having/needing at home. Everything was so well stocked. Suzette was so kind and easy to communicate with ... truly a wonderful host! We absolutely loved our stay here and are hopeful to come back again. Thank you for making our summer 2020 vacation so memorable.

God's country

Wonderful spot, the cabin was perfect, excellent spot that offered seclusion, yet water with easy access to other lakes. I've stayed many places in the U.P. this has been my favorite.

Beautiful and secluded

When we got here on day 1 it was so breath taking. The peacefulness. Navigation doesn’t work so we had our directions printed. The rain came right after we unpacked so we settled in for some family games we brought with. We had to run upstairs for pot and bowls because there was a bad leak coming in downstairs. We called the care taker the next day and he came out to patch up the leaky spots so we didn’t have to deal with it again. The next few days although cold were so great. It was a bummer that the dock wasn’t put in being it was free fishing weekend and my children were looking forward to fishing off the dock. It also made it difficult to get the kayaks out but we managed. One thing about being in the woods is furry little creatures that scurry around the house decided they needed to visit the last few days. Over all it was a fantastic first family vacation. My rating would have been a 5 star but with no dock in and having to deal with a few things it knocked it down to 4. Oh and can you believe they had such a stocked pantry it was terrific and pots and pans. Being a few bowls for salads but otherwise there are a few here. We are checking out this morning and will definitely look at coming back!! I do suggest going to Munising falls if you stay and to miners castle. It was such a feat hike!!

Little getaway

We had a great time at the cabin. Nice remote area and the cabin was clean and had everything you could ask. Enjoyed the peaceful location and lake.

snowmobile weekend

We had 4 couples for a snowmobile trip. The home is in a great location to snowmobile out of, the trail head is easy to get to. Everyone in our group love the layout, decor and all the amenities. The only complaint was the bunk bed mattress in the basement we uncomfortable.

Cozy cabin in snowy wonderland

We had a wonderful winter holiday in the woods! The cabin was cozy, clean, well stocked and had a magnificent view of the lake. There was plenty of snow for playing in & beautiful frozen falls to visit. The Camel Riders restaurant was also delicious! The owner, Suzette, and her caretaker, Kathy were so friendly and helpful. It was a fantastic vacation for our family, one we will remember forever!! Thank you for sharing your peaceful cabin in the forest with us!

Cabin on the lake

This is a very pretty, calm and quiet location and we really enjoyed it! We had fun spending time with friends and family kayaking and enjoying the house! The house was clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. Pictured rocks and other attractions in Munising were a short 20 minutes drive. We would love to come back again next year.

Fantastic!

Our family loved staying at Camp Wade! It was so very relaxing and quiet. Traveling through the chain of lakes on the kayaks and canoe was really fun! Because of its location, it’s a great place to stay if you are planning several different day trips in various parts of the U. P. The cabin was great and had everything you could need (except a grill). We would definitely want to stay here again if we ever do another trip here.

Beautiful place

Beautiful place with amazing, peaceful views of the lake. Kayaks & canoeing were very enjoyable on the chain of lakes. The cabin is clean & well designed. Interior was very nice & wonderful windows overlooking the lake. Definitely off the beaten path. Our family had a wonderful stay!
