Beautiful lakefront condo

The condo was clean and well appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable. It was a short Uber ride to Burlington for some lovely meals and shopping. We’ll definitely be back!

A staycation!

We love locally and wanted to stay on the lake for a long weekend. This property did not disappoint. We had great hosts, great views, and a fantastic kitchen. We look forward to returning. Perfection.

Peaceful and Cozy

We loved our stay at Lakeshore. Accommodations were wonderful. The fireplace was a nice bonus. The view of Mallets Bay is breathtaking! Easy access to Burlington and minutes from I-89. Bayside Park next door was a great space to walk our dog. Don’t forget the bagels from Vermont Bagel Company!

Beautiful place to stay.

We spent three nights in the Bungalow unit and had a wonderful time. The unit itself is gorgeous--beautifully decorated but not overdone--and extremely comfortable. (At one point, I was napping on the couch and wished I had a blanket--and then noticed a very soft one draped there within reach.) Neil and Deb are friendly and welcoming, eager to make your stay enjoyable, but not intrusive. Our dog had a great time--chasing seagulls off the dock, wading into the lake, playing on the big sloping lawn. It's a quick drive into Burlington, but the property is so peaceful you might not want to leave.

Very nice and well appointed home with gorgeous view and amazing lake access

We ended our week long vacation by spending a weekend on the lake in VT. This was our first time in VT so we weren’t sure what to expect as we tend to go to the ocean and beaches on the East Coast (NJ, OBX, etc). We found this a very nice change of pace. Quiet and not as commercialized or crowded but with plenty to do and beautiful scenery. This home is very nice. Our family of four slept comfortably with the girls sharing the loft area upstairs. The view of the lake is amazing. We found it hard to find a nice home with easy beach access which this home has. Simply walk out the back yard and you can enjoy the beach which is not rocky with easy entry for the kids and chairs and fire pit for the adults. The area is beautiful and we enjoyed a long bike ride on the causeway and nice restaurants in Burlington and surrounding areas. If you have a larger party - you can rent multiple units.

Great getaway with the family

We had a really great time at the lake. The house was great and had an amazing view. We were also close enough to drive and enjoy Burlington for shopping and food.

Pre-Thanksgiving Visit

Perfect!

This is a spectacular property right on the lake, an easy 15 minute drive from downtown Burlington. Neil & Deb were fantastic, responsive hosts. We had a wonderful visit with family here and will definitely be back. We’ve been to Burlington a million times before and always stayed at hotels. . I think I’ve found my go to place from now on!

Great spot, as advertised!

Lakeshore was great! Very comfortable, well decorated & supplied (including firewood for the beach). Great touches like a gas fire pit on the deck to keep the chill off. Though close to a busy road, once you were out back it was all about the view! Very convenient access to Burlington. Would very much recommend!

Lakeshore Getaway

Everything was amazing. Neil and Deb were very responsive to any questions and information needed concerning the space and places of interest in the area. Cozy home in a great location

This is our second time staying at Lakeshore Vermont and we just love it - it's so cozy and clean and has a gorgeous bathroom with a huge tub, comfy couches and a fireplace, and lots of room for the dog to run around and beautiful views!! I love the neighborhood too, this place is perfect! :)

Great Place!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was nicely updated and had more than enough room plus a great shower. The views of the lake from the condo were great too. Even though we had less than ideal weather for most days, the place and surrounding around area make us want to come back.

An amazing place that has a nice fireplace, deck with a lake view and easy access to the beach.

This place was among the best I’ve ever stayed at. The fireplace, deck, grill, and beach were incredible. It’s perfect for a couple or two. For someone who is skeptical of some rentals, this place is worth every penny trust me.

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was a busier road than we had anticipated, but once you got inside the views made you completely forget about everything! The house was beautifully decorated, remarkably clean, and pretty much perfect. We would absolutely stay here again!

We had the middle unit and boy were we pleased and impressed with the property!! Deb and Neil have all you need for a cozy lakeside stay. Own dock with water toys and a wonderful deck with the best view. Wonderful rooms. Clean. Friendly communication. A nice lil 12 min drive into Burlington. Pet friendly too. We will be back! amazing.

possibly the nicest rental we ever had via VRBO. this property is amazing. the architecture and layout are really unique, and the furnishing were all top notch. it felt like a high end condo, not a vacation rental. the views are amazing, with huge windows and patios that open directly to the bay. anything you could think of was provided. high end grill, beach firepit, adirondack lawn chairs, gas fire tables, comfy outdoor living rooms, chefs kitchen, huge flatpanel tvs. paddle boat, paddle board, kayak. I couldnt think of anything we missed. already considering our next visit.

We are Neil and Deb owners of Lakeshore Vermont in Colchester Vermont. Neil grew up in South Hero Vermont which is 20 minutes north in the Champlain Islands. I, Deb, grew up in Southern Vermont. Saxtons River area. While I was attending The University of Vermont Neil and I met Downtown Burlington. Twenty-two years later we are still on our adventures together. We live about a mile down the road from Lakeshore Vermont on Marble Island Road. We have two sons, Carter and Sawyer and a Jack Russel Terrier Olive. Our son Carter is married to a lovely young lady, Dorothy and they have a beautiful baby girl. Sawyer is a snowboarder and travels often. We personally do all the work and cleaning at Lakeshore Vermont for the time being.

Lakeshore was a home which we purchased years ago from a wonderful family that lived there for 30 years. The property is zoned commercial, which left us wondering the best use for the property. Lakeshore is a one of a kind place on Lake Champlain so the only logical thing to do with the property was to make it a place where people near and far could enjoy.
