Great place and neighborhood! Quiet, great back porch and back yard. Could use some decor updates but loved the layout. Kids thought the basement reminded them of the Backrooms movie which might be fun for some people. We did not use it and would not really call it a bedroom. We would probably rent it again if there was a bigger couch for all of us. We had 5 people (1 adult kid, 2 smaller kids, and 2 adult parents).

Overall great spot and very clean. Lots of space to accommodate large groups, and the listing is transparent. The only reason I took off 1 star is all of the beds were very stiff and uncomfortable, which unfortunately would keep me from rebooking. However, if that doesn’t bother you, this place is a great little spot to stay the night if you’re in the area.

Springfield Museums

Mini family vacation. The property was pleasant and convenient to the Museums and Zoo.This is not specific to this stay, but I wish the fees would be available prior to the booking/ payment process. We had to stop the booking of a different property for this trip when the hidden fees more than doubled the cost of the rental.

The property is in disrepair. The glass door before you can reach the lockbox with the key to open the home it’s not functional. I needed to find and object to pry open the glass door to get to the lockbox has a key to enter the house. Once in the house there is not silverware or dishware for two people to have a meal let alone four. There is no instructions to increase the temperature in the house so while I was there in Harvard between 60 Degrees and 65 if it was sunny outside

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify a few points for future guests. The glass entry door issue was not reported to us during your stay, so we were unaware that it required attention at that time. Had we been notified, we would have addressed it promptly. Regarding the silverware and dishware, additional items were available in the property. Occasionally, utensils may go missing between guest stays, and we are always happy to replenish or direct guests to extras when contacted. As for the thermostat, the system operates with standard up-and-down arrow controls. We understand that every guest may not be familiar with the setup, and we would have gladly assisted had we been contacted during the stay. We value guest feedback and continuously work to improve the experience for all future visitors.

Our two families with young kids had a nice stay at this property. We liked the open layout of the living room, dining room, and large kitchen. There were enough plates, bowls, cups and utensils, towels, and other supplies to make our stay comfortable. The house was clean and warm, and four cars can easily park in the driveway. There are three bedrooms on the first floor with a full bath, and a somewhat finish basement with another bed. The beds were on the harder side, with only one bedroom was furnished (eg dresser, nightstand). Some of the decorations and the bathroom were dated, but overall a cozy stay. Kenneth was very responsive, and check in/check out was very easy. Neighborhood is quiet and safe.

It was very clean in a quiet neighborhood. The house has been well loved and is tastefully decorated. All bedrooms can sleep 2 easily in same bed.... BUT...The toilet leaks, the bathroom sink is clogged, the bathtub needs draino also.... Front screen door needs realigning as does the back screen patio door. Need new pots/ pans. Is there mold in the downstairs bedroom? Car in front needs to towed. Need landscaping or cleaning up especially in the back. Actually, these are all minor easy fixes... Overall, I would recommend the house...

Very clean, nice neighborhood, newer appliances (kitchen not as well stocked, and no grill- just fyi- but if you don’t plan to cook that’s no issue). Easy trip to downtown and local universities. Owner easy to contact and quick to respond. We had a very nice stay.
