Beautiful Alaskan style home surrounded by trees on over a half acre for guests Home. Large deck BBQ grill and fire pit. Large private fenced backyard to enjoy the sunset with an additional fire pit and seating.This lovely 4 bedroom home sleeps 10 comfortably and has 2 full baths one 1/2 bath. Master bedroom and additional room upstairs includes a sauna, full bathroom and private balcony with table and chairs. We are willing to accommodate more guests with notice. There is over a dozen parking spaces available for guests. We welcome family celebrations.
House is furnished with everything you could possibly need to make you feel at home. We include shampoo, conditioner, body washes, hand soaps, full kitchen, utensils, spices, and condiments. Brew coffee/Keurig & espresso machine included. We have just added a massive 1100 sq ft game room space to the home. Pool table, ping pong, dart board and lounge. Large space for dancing or dining. Extra tables and chairs apon request.

Overall a great place to stay at with multiple people. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of supplies, lots of blankets and pillows, and a great deck to sit out on. We would definently stay again. Also, communication was fast when we had a question or problem.

A wonderful vacation home. It was extremely clean and all the attention to details makes this the perfect place to rest and relax after long daily adventures. Christina was extremely helpful with information and was flexible and accommodating to all our needs.

This property was immaculate! We really enjoyed all the extra amenities the house provided, as well (like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, foil, condiments, spices, tea). The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable. This was an ideal location in a nice part of Anchorage (very quiet, yet still close to Anchorage activities) and all the fun along the Seward Highway and Seward (easy 2 hour drive with no traffic of construction). Christina was a delight to work with, very accommodating, very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place for large families. Plenty of room. Large dining table plus breakfast counter. Kitchen is VERY well stocked. Access to a very large garage was a big plus. Christina was super helpful during the booking process. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly.

I really enjoyed the property! This is my second rental there and once again the host was excellent in communication pre and post rental. I actually saw an article hare hop through while drinking my morning coffee! Great rental, great host! I will be back a third time!

This home was in a beautiful and private setting but not far from town. The home was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. Spacious enough for the seven adults in our group. The sauna was a nice extra. Would stay here again.

House was exactly as described. Kitchen was stocked with everything imaginable and more. Beds were comfy. Location was convenient. Host was responsive and easy to work with. Also enjoyed the moose visit in the driveway.

I wish we stayed here for our whole Alaskan vacation! Christina was so pleasant to work with. I had quite a few questions and she had all the answers and responded quicker than I expected! The black out blinds worked really well even in the upstairs master bedroom that doesn’t have doors at every entry point. Everyone felt safe and comfortable in their beds. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The washer and dryer worked well. The upstairs worked well for us because we only had our son stay in the upstairs bedroom for one night and we were so exhausted at the end of everyday we could have fallen asleep in the living room. As other reviewers have stated the sauna is accessible only theough the master bedroom as well as the bedroom and widow’s walk are only accessible through the master bedroom. Which was no problem for us because we were all family. Also, the driveway is shared and the house is connected to the house next door through a garage. I felt completely safe and the neighbors seemed friendly. If we come back to Anchorage and this place is available I would book it in a heartbeat. The neighborhood was cute and very safe too.

Amazing house with everything you need

We really enjoyed our stay! The home had everything we could have needed. The garage made it nice to keep the car snow-free and warm with direct access to the house. Cozy family room with plenty of space. Two bedrooms upstairs (Master with a King, and a 2nd BR), plus a private deck upstairs and sauna, and two bedrooms downstairs. 1 bathroom upstairs, 1 full on the main level, plus a 2nd half bath made for plenty of bathroom space. We used the full washer and dryer almost daily. Kitchen had everything you could need to cook, plus spices, etc. We were here in the Winter, but the large deck and grill would be nice in the warmer weather as well. Property is a bit South of town, but a very short drive and the location made it nice to be away from it all. We saw a moose feeding just off the road less than a block from the house. Lots of extra blankets, etc. This was like a second home away from home. Host was very responsive and home was easy to access. Large walk-in mud room area just off the garage was great to leave snowy boots to dry and hang all the snow gear. Highly recommend!

Cool and quirky

So upon arriving we were a little taken back that the outside wasnt kept up. It didnt look like the picture at all when we drove up, just weeds and such that needed to be cleaned up. Not a huge deal, but it’s the second thing you see when you drive up. The first thing you notice is another house right next to it on the property and people living there. So that was strange, and not mentioned. The place does have 4 beds and was big enough for our party of 7. There was a couple things that should be noted. The king size bed is in a loft area, no door or privacy. The sauna is up there too, right off the bed area. There’s another room upstairs that does have a door. So sharing the upstairs with maybe your children would be fine, but not another couple. It’s awkward that people have to go through your “area” to use the sauna too. SO nobody used it because it’s not private. Other than that, it was clean overall and the place was big enough and had everything we needed for our stay.Also just a heads up, even though this place sleeps 8, if you book for more than 2 people you get charged 10 per person per night, so we had another 250 charge for our stay. The host was kind enough to figure this out for us, but it was still kinda a surprise.

Cassie, I apologize you felt our outside was nothing like the photos , we did seem to have a fresh batch of weeds pop up during your stay but Lawn maintenance is done weekly and weeds can come out of no where in just a few days. I do try to keep landscaping tasks done before and after guests arrive so it’s not invading privacy But I don’t feel it was as tho you described . . As for the mother-in-law next door, it is an acre of property so the home is definitely spaced out enough it’s not encroaching guest space. In fact it’s still more space than most neighborhoods have between homes is why I don’t mention it . I do agree and know the upstairs bedroom does need to be modified for more privacy and has been Scheduled for that . As for the additional charges on per person per night, I did not know that it wasn’t transparent on the website. I thought all charges and fees that VRBO has shows you a breakdown prior to completing confirmation. Any surprises on pricing should be taken up with VRBO as they are in charge of all the fees. There are two options for hosts, one is charge a larger amount regardless of how many guests stay per night and one is less expensive nightly fee and adding additional guests at $10 per night per person . I choose to have the home more affordable in the event I don’t have a full house so smaller parties could have less charges. That’s all that is . It should always be transparent. I would never want anyone to feel like I was sneaking in an additional charge . So again I apologize for all the unexpected disappointments you had and hope there was some enjoyment out of your stay.

Great property and location. The hosts were very attentive and had everything that we needed supplied in the home. We would definitely go back.The upstairs bedroom was very nice, but the open loft does not allow for a very quiet night sleep or morning when others are in the kitchen. Not sure how that could be remedied, but the bed was so comfy and the sauna was a bonus. Thank you for a great stay.

Our home is spacious yet cozy. Lots of windows and natural light. Beautiful front deck with fire pit and private secluded upstairs deck with sauna around the corner. Alaskan wild life frequently seen along with birds squirrels and eagles. Northern light views when at least expected. A little taste of Alaska captured on this cozy Hillside home .
