Are you looking to get away and relax in a peaceful country setting, in beautiful Western Maryland Mountains, this is the place for you. Relax and Enjoy our cozy cottage a little quiet, two bedroom one and a half bath house. Nest it on just over an acre of ground enjoy our beautiful back deck. Just outside of Historic Cumberland, Maryland and a mile from 68 and a little over three minutes from Historic Downtown Cumberland, Maryland, we are also close to the scenic Railroad, C&O Canal towpath and The Great Allegheny passage

This is a nice place.It is not real modern, but it is clean and has plenty of room.It’s out in the country, but not far from freeway access and not too far from town. The TV channels available were decent and it all worked out for us.We would stay here again when we are in Cumberland.

This was a perfect place for us to stay for 2 nights while the guys completed the GAP and C&O Towpath bike ride from Pittsburgh to DC. We enjoyed the country setting and the spacious deck and appreciated that we were still close to things we wanted to do in the Cumberland area. Beds were comfortable and the entire place was clean and as shown in the photos from the listing. We did not make much use of the kitchen facilities, but the kitchen seemed to be well stocked. Having access to laundry facilities in the middle of our trip was a bonus! We would definitely recommend a stay at this Cozy Cottage!

Lovely cottage

It suited our purposes perfectly. We were riding the Western Maryland Railway dinner train and stayed at the house just overnight. The large deck is especially nice.

COZY COTTAGE

A halfway point my grown children and I, this cozy cottage was the perfect size for 3 people to meet. We hiked with the dog at Rocky Gap State Park-beautiful! We enjoyed our stay!

Great place with beautiful view!

We really enjoyed our stay, it was a winter wonderland! The Cozy Cottage is in a convenient location, and is close to downtown Cumberland and the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. It was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. We were very happy we could bring along our little dog. The view from the back deck is beautiful, and the beds are comfortable. It snowed while we were out for the day, and when we returned the driveway and walkway were shoveled. We really appreciated this! We highly recommend the Cozy Cottage, and would book again! For food we recommend Patrick's Pub and Centre Street Collective. Café Mark is great, and we enjoyed the brunch train ride!

We stayed at this pet-friendly property May 8-12 while visiting Western Maryland. The house is a couple of miles off of I-68 in a quiet rural area near Cumberland. The house was small but comfortable. The house sits very close to a road and you have to walk on the road to get to the front door since there is no sidewalk from the parking area. Cars on the road drive 30 mph so you have to be very careful when walking on it to get to the front door of the house. When we arrived the owner was having some repair work done on a retaining wall on the side of the house. There was a lot of construction equipment and a large pile of gravel in the parking area. We had to park in between it all. The area where we had to walk was also quite messy and dirty. The owner/host had it cleaned up after we called her and she said no more work would occur until we left. However a couple of days later the contractor came back and continued doing their work with concrete block, backhoe, and gravel, which was right next to where we had to park our car. I asked him to wait until we left and he agreed. He apologized and said he wasn't aware anyone was staying in the house. When we checked out we vacuumed all of the carpets, placed the linens and towels in the hampers, cleaned the dishes, took out the trash per the check-out instructions, and left the house very clean. Overall we enjoyed our visit to Maryland, and our stay at the Cozy Cottage was satisfactory.

It was the perfect dog friendly place for us ! We will definitely be back to stay here on our return trips to Cumberland to visit family. Donna was a wonderful host. Check in was a breeze.The Cozy Cottage was comfortable, extremely clean ,located near the interstate yet feeling very countryside which we prefer. The large rear deck was perfect to enjoy mountain views from. All the comforts of home can be found here. My only regret was not getting to stay longer ! Thank you again Donna ! We appreciate you having this lovely cottage available for travelers :)

We were very pleased with the cozy cottage, it was peaceful, and had everything we needed. Our favorite part was the beautiful deck and seeing deer in the yard. Would love to return!

This place was amazing with a awesome deck to sit outside & relax! I'm from this area & we was able to visit my family, some came here to visit us. Was able to visit my parents grave sites & other family members! I was able to visit school classmates! This was a close convenient to my home in Ridgeley WVa where I grew up!

Very nice place to stay

We unfortunately had to come for family medical reasons, but the house was lovely and immaculate and had everything we needed. The deck was a peaceful place to have coffee and see the mountains. The bed was a little lumpy, but no other complaints.
