Annual Thanksgiving Family Celebration

As always, we loved sharing our Thanksgiving holiday with family at this lovely house and home. The location along the Potomac River and C&O Canal towpath is fabulous, so close to town yet our own little world. The space is perfect for a large gathering, plenty of room for tables for the meal and for games afterward. Thanks for everything.

Cozy home on beautiful property

A beautifully redone farmhouse close to the many attractions around the area. So private even though you are very close to town. The hosts are very responsive and good to work with. Already planning another stay!

Good location and home but

There’s a lot of religious signs up in the house and also political brochures. I’m trying to get away to relax, not to be told of how much I need god in my life.

Biking the the trail

The property is nicely located on the C & O trail. Biking distance to restaurants and Historical sites. The views are amazing The house is just wonderful. The owens are great people.

Great Experience Overall

We rented this property with some friends for a motorcycle event near by. The host was very friendly his wife even stocked up the kitchen with some sodas and snacks it was a unexpected surprise. The property was absolutely gorgeous it was nice to sit out on the back patio at night after a long day in the sun.

Awesome Farmhouse in Glorious Location

My friend and I enjoyed a nice girls weekend here. The house was really clean, organized, and cozy. Very nicely decorated. Snacks were a nice touch. The property is lovely. The view from the back porch is one you don’t see often. The property is so lovely and well cared for. Easy access to lovely walking paths. We were glad that there were no campers on the property while we were there. Would stay here again.

Great place to stay!

Great place to stay in Cumberland. The owners were easy to communicate with and we really appreciate all of the little treats and the thought you put into stocking the house. It’s just like home! We will definitely stay there again!

Cozy and Inviting

We were there for a wedding and rented the property for several family members to stay. The house was beautifully decorated and comfortable. We unfortunately, didn't have time to really enjoy the area but it was close to Cumberland and a few minutes from the West Virginia line. Would love to go again to explore the area. The owners Don and Diane were great. Diane made us a delicious apple cake and called to check in to make sure everything was going well. Would definaiely recommend this VRBO rental.

we were just in for a few days. we found this place and were very pleased with its location. lovely view of river, plenty of walking space, easy access to bike trail. interior was clean and spacious and the kitchen was well equipped.

Excellent Property

We really enjoyed staying at the property. C&O trail is out the front door, canal behind, and peaceful property to relax on. Surprising how close to town it is but still feels like a country property. Historic house but renovated well with modern features and conveniences. We would definitely stay there again.
