Overlooking National Highway, our home sits on Haystack Mountain.
This quiet, tucked away home is just minutes from I68, shopping and restaurants. Downtown is a 10 minute drive where you can enjoy concerts, farmers' markets, and the walking district.
Fully renovated in 2025, the home has a new roof, siding, flooring, bathrooms, kitchen and deck.
There is Wi-Fi with a great view for working from home and many areas to sit and enjoy a morning coffee or tea looking for birds and deer.

This was a really lovely place to stay on a quick trip to Cumberland. It’s in a quiet neighborhood with a great Mountain View off the back deck. The property was clean and the owner was communicative. Convenient to town and the scenic railroad. The only complaint I have was the thermostat was auto set to a temp that was too high for the summer, and I had to wake up twice to make it cooler. Other than that it really is exactly as advertised and I would stay again.

The home was updated w everything we needed. We celebrated our parents 50th anniversary. We used the home to spend time w extended family, and close to frostburg tracks and yaks. Property is also close to restaurants in area. The scenery from the back deck was enjoyable with our morning coffee. We were not on site for sunsets. A charger was left and the host was kind enough to mail to us the next day.

The house was everything advertised on the VRBO website. Beautifully renovated and a nice home for a few days. My biggest thing was everything on the same level as my regular home is a townhouse, so appreciated not walking up and down stairs. Then there's the view and parking was very easy. Wish I could have stayed longer. The neighorborhood was so quiet too and it appears most owners are older folks. There's also a welcoming committee that appears every evening at 6pm. Say hello to them, but after you take their pics. A great place to stay and enjoy the solitude.

Great location in Cumberland—very quiet neighborhood, beautiful views, and nice area for walks. The host was very responsive, and the huge TV, board games, and plenty of indoor chairs were nice touches.However, the property fell short for a weeklong family stay:• Misleading remodel: Furnishings and beds felt very cheap/low-quality. Running the heat triggered an intense mildew smell.• Kitchen & Deck: No dishwasher, pantry, or counter space, and zero cooking staples (no salt, pepper, or oil). No BBQ grill to enjoy on the deck.• Bathrooms: Tiny RV-sized showers, no bathtub, zero counter space, and no outlet in the master bath.• Logistics & Supplies: No laundry access. We were initially given 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 trash bag, and no extra linens for a full week. The host responded quickly and brought extra towels, TP, and bags when messaged, but basics should be provided upfront.• Access: Parking requires walking across a sloped grassy yard to enter, which could be slick when wet or snowy.Lovely area, but interior quality and initial setup need major improvement.

Great place! Beautiful views and great location for hiking, biking and visiting Frostburg or Cumberland. Bathrooms are small, but didn’t at all impact our enjoyment of the property. Deer everywhere in the neighborhood!

The host was very responsive and accessible. The house is freshly updated and uncluttered. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The view is lovely. The showers are small but manageable and there is no washing machine or dryer at this property. Overall it is a nice place and met our need for sleeping and making breakfast. We will very likely stay here again when we are in the area visiting family.

We are new to hosting and want to give guests a unique home away from home experience with eco friendly cleaning products and a fully renovated, clean home with a breathtaking view.
