Welcome to your home away from home! This rustically renovated shotgun-style 1-bedroom unit offers a cozy and unique retreat in the heart of St. Louis' iconic Italian neighborhood, The Hill.

Located upstairs in a two-family home, the space features a queen bedroom and a living room with a comfortable sofa bed, perfect for extra guests. The full kitchen is ready for your culinary creations, while the gorgeous outdoor balcony provides the perfect spot to unwind with your morning coffee or evening wine.

The Hill is known for its vibrant charm and incredible dining scene, and this rental puts you right in the center of it all! With over a dozen authentic Italian restaurants and cafes within 4 blocks, your taste buds are in for a treat.
The unit's re-purposed wood accents and rustic design elements provide a warm and inviting ambiance that feels like a true getaway while still offering all the comforts of home.

*We provide a complimentary starter pack of essentials to help you settle in, including basic toiletries and paper products. For your extended stay, please plan to purchase additional items as needed.

Although we do not like fees in order to maintain our units we must make you aware of the following:
We are ONLY dog friendly. To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests a non-refundable fee of $100 per reservation will be charged to cover additional cleaning costs. Pet fees are NOT included in the original reservation price or room rate provided. Any applicable pet fees will be added to your reservation MANUALLY and charged AFTER booking.
If you do not honor our pet policy (dog only disclosure) you will be fined $200.
Strict NO SMOKING policy. If you smoke inside you will be fined $250.
We are not responsible for items left behind by guests. If you leave an item behind and you want it to be sent back to you. We charge $25 for that item to be shipped plus the shipping costs.
Any stay greater than 21 days will require an additional long term cleaning fee of $50 that will be MANUALLY charged after reservation confirmation.
An unapproved late check-out is $50.

Parking availability is limited on weekend evenings. Park early or plan to park after the evening diners leave the area. More hangers would be appreciated. There were only two. I sent a message to the owner, but never heard back. A couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang towels/clothes would be nice. Otherwise, a great stay. Nice location. Safe area to walk around. Many restaurants in walking distance. Great coffee at Cafe Dolche. Apartment was clean. I always enjoy staying on the Hill.

The place is very nice and I love the setup with two balconies! The location is perfect! The Hill area has some great resuarants, bakeries, and coffee shops. Great neighborhood for a stroll and a great balcony to watch it all happen when you dont want to stroll. Close to downtown and perfect for our visit! My only thing is the lack of parking depending on the time of day. The details for the VRBO state parking available - 1 narrow space, but this is not accurate. The only parking is on the street, so depending on day and time, this can be a huge ordeal. Other than that, we love the fact that the place offered a shared green space that is gated for our dogs, which was perfect! We did looooove the location and atmosphere, just really needed that parking spot upon arrival and departure, but were able to move and make it all work. Just a little but of an inconvenience when you got dogs...still 5-stars and a great place!

Great location. We stayed in the upstairs unit and for the most part was very nice. The things that could be improved on would be general upkeep and maintenance. I noticed the main door handle coming into the house was loose. The toilet was wobbly and needed to be secured to the floor and the shower trim was coming off the wall. The door that closed to the bedroom also needed to be adjusted because it wouldn’t close properly. Last, the kitchen could be stocked better as far as cookware and glasses.

We enjoyed everything about our stay here. The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. The hosts were in contact with us often and were very accommodating. This house is in the middle of "the Hill" neighborhood. It is across the street from the Catholic church. The bells ring on the hour starting at 6 AM. (That might be an issue for some people - Just be aware) Across the street was Vitale's bakery. They had amazing baked goods. We tried the cannoli and cream horns. Both were amazing. You can walk from the house to at least 8 or 10 different restaurants, including Marconi Mercata, Zia's, Mama's, Cafe Dolce, and more. If you want to explore the Hill, this is a great place to do it from.

Amazing location, adorable condo with a few issues. This location is amazing if your primary goal is to stay in a safe, quaint, walkable neighborhood with lots of Italian restaurants and shops. This neighborhood focuses around the Catholic Church, which rings their bells at 6 AM and ends around 9 PM. I thought it was lovely but it was very loud across the street. Monday mornings are very loud in this neighborhood as well starting around 5am. Very easy drive to everything St. Louis has to offer. Now the not so great, which I sent to the owners of this VRBO a week before posting this to address anything and they have not. Several dishes were very dirty with food still caked on them, the right hand door walking into the bedroom, doesn’t work, there was no way to create any privacy from the pull out couch in living room, there was no top sheet, pillow cases or blankets for the pullout couch, there was only two small towels originall,, they brought 2 more, there’s no light shade on the fan in bedroom and there’s no light shade on the lamp next to the two chairs area, there’s no dimmer lighting just the bright overhead lights in the kitchen and living room area and is very bright at night. The TV and remote has some kind of issue it’s delayed and doesn’t work half the time and is the only one. There is literally no sound barrier in the stairwell from downstairs to the upstairs and the sound carries up. I could hear the entire conversation they were having downstairs clearl

Loved the way they renovated the unit. Very rustic. Couple of suggestions would be more than 2 hangers in closet and please not wire hangers. Silverware and dishes were weird. Many cereal bowls but only 1 salad plate? Only 3 forks? I would upgrade if it were my unit. Location is super, bed was comfortable for us but might be too firm for some. Loved the balconies. Steep steps.
