Little Paradise With Old World Charm

The house near Georgioupolis was perfect and exactly as represented in the listing. The Owners were welcoming and attentive. The little treats they brought were much appreciated. The views and landscaping were outstanding. I would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet place.

Villa Adriana

Villa Adriana was beautiful. The gardens, flowers, herbs, and views of the sea and the mountains were wonderful. It was great meeting the hosts who were very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. Their gifts of wine and pastries several times during our stay were great. The villa is very close to the town of Georgiopolis with great tavernas and shops. It is also convenient to Rethymno, Chania, beaches and historic sites.

Feels like Paradise

We liked the garden with the pool very much. The house is nice and everything you need is there. We also received a welcome Easter bread, Raki and a white Wine. We also had the pleasure to take care of the house Cat with her 4 Babys. We had a great time.

Highly recommended villa

Villa Adriana is beautiful- secluded and with plenty of space. We were a party of six and there was plenty of room for all. Bedrooms and kitchen/living area were spacious and well equipped. Pool area and balconies were fantastic- beautiful views. The villa is a 20 minute walk from Georgiopoulos, or a 5 minute drive. Plenty to do in surrounding area and beautiful beaches down in the town. Highly recommended for groups, families and anyone wanting a relaxing week on Crete.

A slice of Eden

This lovely home amidst beautiful gardens is a convenient two minute drive into Georgioupoli. Otto, the owner, met us to lead us to the home which is completely secluded, yet offers a breathtaking view over the valley to the sea. The owners are very kind and generous, the home very clean and tidy and the kitchen is well prepared for people who like to cook. The WiFi was iffy, sometimes spotty, but that was a small inconvenience compared to all of the benefits.

A hidden gem

We had a lovely week here and would thoroughly recommend the villa and location. The gardens are beautiful and thoughtfully laid out, with views down the valley to the sea. The villa is great - it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The walk down to Georgioupolis takes 30 minutes and is very manageable, there are taxis in the square to get home post-dinner. The tavernas are excellent, the local rosé is delicious. We recommend a morning at Kalyraki beach - the sea was lovely for swimming. Otto and his wife are also excellent hosts - we loved the pastries on arrival and gifts of wine. We’ll definitely return.

Great property in a fabulous location

A lovely villa to stay in. Well maintained and spotlessly clean. The location was convenient to explore the north coast of Crete - we went as far west as Chania and as far east as Knossos. Plus you can take the spectacular route across the White Mountains to the south coast and explore the Imbros Gorge. You really need a car to get to the property and be prepared to drive along the narrow bumpy track to the villa. The outdoor space is well designed with sunny and shady spots - all with a fabulous view. Lovely pool - just wish the weather had been a little warmer to enjoy it more. Recommended.

The perfect place to be

Villa Adriana is perfect for all those who love the peace and quiet of seclusion, but don't want to be far away from civilisation. A few very good restaurants (Taverna) are just 15-20 minutes away by walk. The village Georgioupoli with nice shops, restaurants, supermarkets and the beach is just 5 minutes away by car (around 30 minutes by walk). The location of Villa Adriana is very convenient for excursions to different cities (e.g. Chania, Rethymno), spots for sightseeing and famous beaches. We never had such friendly and supportive hosts as Giota and Otto, who really cared for our well being. Twice a week the pool and the house were cleaned. The pictures and description show exactly how the house and the ground look like and we did not miss anything within the euipment of the house. Thank you very much for this awesome vacation, Giota and Otto!

Der Gastgeber (Otto und seine Frau) waren sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend.Mehrmals in der Woche lagen kleine Geschenke vor der Türe oder wurde von Otto gebracht.Das Haus und Grundstück einmalig schön und ruhig.Wir würden immer wieder gerne kommen

Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, der Garten mit Pool sehr gross und gepflegt. Die Lage ist gut, zwischen Chania und Rethymion. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich, Otto pflegt den Pool schenkt zur Begrüssung Wein. Gern immer wider!!!

Ein wunderbares Haus

Wir haben uns in der Villa Adriana sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus liegt allein an einem Hang mit Blick aufs Meer und hat einen wunderbaren Garten mit einem schönen Pool. Im großen Garten blühen zahlreiche Pflanzen und Blumen und es gibt sonnige und schattige Plätze, so dass man sich bei jedem Wetter hier gut aufhalten kann und sich wohlfühlt. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und verfügt über alle Annehmlichkeiten, die man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht. Der Eigentümer Otto und seine Frau Giota kümmern sich in ausgesprochen freundlicherweise um die Gäste und Otto bringt jedesmal Geschenke in Form von Wein und Gebäck für die Gäste mit. Handtücher und Bettwäsche werden regelmäßig ausgetauscht und Otto arbeitet als "Heinzelmännchen" in der Frühe und reinigt den Pool, die Außenanlagen und entsorgt den Müll. Wir haben uns noch nie so wohl gefühlt wie in der Villa Adriana und können das Haus, die Lage und die Umgebung nur sehr empfehlen.

Great spot

We stayed for a week, although we could have remained for longer because the villa was immaculate, completely secluded, and had stunning views. The villa has everything you want, including small necessities like olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee, and tea. The village is larger than we anticipated, and there are far too many great tavernas to list them all. Nothing bad can be said about the property or the gracious hosts. We enjoyed a wonderful, peaceful visit. The property is really worth it for the views.

Beautiful Gardens, Breathtaking Views

We had a wonderful time at Villa Adriana! 3 couples enjoyed very comfortable stays in this beautiful 3 BR, 3 bathroom villa. Otto is the most gracious host, the villa is very clean, the gardens are simply beautiful, and the views of the sea from the balconies and pool area are truly breathtaking. The location of the villa was perfect for the outings we had planned during our 8 day vacation. The farthest outing was Elafonissi (the Pink Sand beach), which was 2 hours by car. The breathtaking Topolio Gorge was en route, and we stopped to take in the sights, and had dinner at beautiful AntaMa Taverna overlooking the gorge on the way back. Rethymno was under 30 minutes by car, Chania was 45 minutes, and Imbros Gorge was approximately 35 minutes. We also visited the Palace of Knossos, which was 90 minutes by car. Lake Kournas, an absolute gem, is only 7 km from the villa, and the local beach village, Georgioupoli, is a wonderful place with many terrific restaurants, very nice grocery markets, and the most friendly, courteous, hospitable people you will ever meet! We absolutely loved our time in Crete. I do feel somewhat compelled to mention one suggested improvement - the sign for Villa Adriana off the main road from Georgioupoli is nearly impossible to see at night, and only visible from one side (i.e., the sign is only visible if you are driving up the hilll). After you turn onto the access road, there are 2 opportunities to go the wrong way, and the signage is a bit confusing. After driving the access road once, you will be fine, but please be very careful the first time.

Villa Adriana

We had a wonderful time at this villa. Upon arrival we were met by the lovely Otto who made us feel so welcome. The villa is set in a beautiful location, secluded with fantastic views of the bay. It is the perfect location for a peaceful vacation. The house is spacious, clean and well equipped. The numerous terraces and balconies offer great choice for sun or shade for dining, relaxing and enjoying the views. The pool area is a little piece of heaven surrounded by enchanting gardens. Georgioupolis is a lovely little town with numerous excellent tavernas and restaurants, plenty of choice. The small harbour offers plenty of boat hire options for a great day out. We are already planning our next trip to this beautiful island and the wonderful Villa Adriana.

Beautiful villa

Had a superb weeks stay in Villa Adriana. Otto was the perfect host, meeting us at the Villa and kindly giving us bottled water, wine, raki, grapes from his garden and cakes. When we had a problem with a shutter getting stuck closed Otto sorted it quickly and gave us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. Pool and gardens are lovely and were very well used. Local cat & her 4 kittens added extra entertainment! Georgiopolis is great, we took pedaloes up turtle river and ate out in great tavernas. I’d recommend Nostos (family run taverna in Georgiopolis). We also found Exopolis Kafenion Cafe in the little village above us a great experience. It was very Greek and the owner, Manolis was very friendly and food very inexpensive. You really need a car to get around as it’s a bit far to walk into Georgiopolis (steep hill on way back) & access to Villa very rough but ok if you take it slowly. Highly recommend.

Veloverstået ferie i skønt isoleret hus i Exopoli

Dejligt sted, sød og hjælpsom udlejer, rent og pænt - rolige omgivelser - fantastisk udsigt - hele vejen rundt. OBS - ligger ca. 500 mtr fra hovedvejen og denne grussti/vej er i udfordrende forfatning. Det kræver en bil, hvis man lejer dette hus, da det ligger lidt afsides.

Entspannung pur!

Wir kommen seit rund 20 Jahren nach Kreta und am liebsten in die Nähe von Georgioupolis. In den letzten Jahren hatten wir immer Häuser, ähnlich der Villa Adriana gemietet. Unsere Ansprüche auf Kreta sind nicht „Highend“. Hier genießen wir eher die Ursprünglichkeit und das unkonventionellere Leben. Umso positiver hat uns die Villa Adriana überrascht. Tolles Haus, wunderschöner Garten, wunderbarer Pool. Alles mit sehr viel Liebe angelegt und gepflegt. Die Eigentümer haben sich sehr um uns gekümmert. Mit Aufmerksamkeiten, Geschenken, frischer Wäsche und sauberen Räumen. Wirklich zu empfehlen. Und die Nähe zu Georgioupolis (ca. 3 Autominuten) ist einfach super. Hier hat man eine große Auswahl an schönen Tavernen für unvergessliche, kulinarische Abende :-). Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder!

Ein ruhiges Plätzchen mit toller Aussicht

Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und kümmern sich um Sauberkeit und Ordnung. Die Vila Adriana liegt an einem Hang mit einem tollen Ausblick auf das kleine Örtchen. Es ist ein schönes Grundstück mit allem was man so brazcht. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es überall im Ort. Wir möchten gerne wieder kommen!

Un coin de Paradis

Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine à la Villa Adriana. La villa est magnifique, très bien entretenue. Le jardin est dépaysant, un vrai coin de paradis. La vue sur mer, est remarquable. La Villa est très bien située pour découvrir l’ile. Nous avons été plus que bien reçu. Nous vous recommandons sans problème ce logement.
