Private Beach - Indoor/Outdoor Living - 8 Kayaks/Canoes - Multi-Family Getaway

Wake up in a three story lakefront home on ~2 private acres with a private beach. We have a private boat dock and swimming platform and a lakeside campfire ring. The house is located on a quiet peninsula that was once an Island, creating a unique and relaxing environment. Just a few minutes from mountain biking and skiing at Mt. Abram, and 20 minutes from skiing at Sunday River. We are fully baby equipped and dog friendly!

Our kitchen is fully prepped for cooking. We have two refrigerators, a gas range with an optional griddle top, two ovens, and a plumbed Webber gas grill for year round use. We have a popcorn maker, lobster pot, electric hand mixer, a dishwasher, and much more.

The house is setup for large groups with five bedrooms, three full baths, a living room with cathedral ceiling, a wood burning fireplace, dining room, mudroom, washer/drier, ski-tuning/utility room, game room, screened porch, three decks and three flatscreen smart HD TVs.

Two bedrooms have a California King bed and three bedrooms have two twin beds which convert to Faux California King. All five bedrooms can have a twin added (not a cot) upon request with no additional charge. The game room can be set up as a faux bedroom to accommodate up to 3 guests, a great spot for overflow guests or kids!

For baby gear we have two high chairs, a changing table, a rocking chair, three pack-n-play pens, a bouncy seat, an indoor baby swing, toys/books, outlet plugs, cabinet/door handle covers, and gates.

We provide bed linens, bath/swim towels, laundry detergent, toilet paper, tissues, liquid hand soap, and baby wipes. In the kitchen you'll find dish washing detergent, trash bags, table linens, sugar, flour, oils/vinegars, spices, herbal teas, hot cocoa, & starter supply of paper goods/plates/cups/napkins.

Pets are allowed on a pre-approved basis with extra charge of $185 per dog per stay. NO CATS ALLOWED.

Rates are subject to change based upon occupancy and desired dates.

My family looked for a place that could hold 10 of us and allow us to bring our dog, 63 Big Island Ln was the place to be! The house was clean and very well appointed!! We really only needed to bring our clothes and settle in. The property was beautiful. We very much enjoyed the kayaks and canoes. The lake was warm and had a sandy bottom, very nice for bare feet! The fire pit was fun and great for s’mores!!! The three floors were great bc everyone had their own space and it was very quiet. The loons were very welcoming. I was hoping to see an eagle but it was just my luck, a guy told me they were there. Any issues we had our host responded quickly and positively. I would highly recommend this property. Also the host gave us a list for boat rentals, we were able to rent a pontoon boat for a day, it was my eldest son’s favorite thing!!Our experience was a 12 out of 10!!

Big Island Lane is the neighborhood my brother and I grew up in. We used to ride our bikes up and down the road, we learned to ski at Sunday River, and we spent countless hours in the water. Ever since we both moved out west, we have missed the lake and we have dreamed of having our own property close to our family. The previous owners of this house gave us our first jobs, where we maintained the gardens and mowed the lawn. They also helped us both learn how to get up on one waterski! When we heard they were thinking of selling, we knew we had to jump. We are very excited to have this home to come back to, and we are very excited to share the experience with our guests. We strive to maintain the same quality of stay that has come to be expected on Big Island!

Our favorite thing about the neighborhood and the property is sitting on the porch with a fresh cup of coffee, looking out at the water while listening to the birds chirp. After coffee there's plenty else to do between swimming, kayaking, bocce, tether ball, horse shoes, corn hole and more. We have a very family friendly property with activities for all, a crib, 3 Pack N Plays, 2 high chairs, baby gates, a changing table and more. We are welcome to pre-approved dogs, and have bowls and crates available to use!

We have our own private boat dock and swim platform with boats for guests to use. A private beach with lounge chairs and family friendly games. The 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms are spread over 3 floors so it's easy for large families and groups to share.

The house has ski tuning area, 2 car garage, lots of exterior parking, located on a private peninsula with direct access to the water.

We offer flexible bedroom set ups to accommodate up to 18 guests and have 5 private bedrooms with king size beds for up to 5 couples or lots of single beds if needed too. We have a game room (aka Faux 6 Bedroom) which can be used for additional sleeping accommodations for up to 3 guests (included in the 18 total sleeping guest capacity). The game room also has a hard wired HDMI cable so you can easily plug in your own system and play!
