Summary:

This vacation home has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms spacious enough to house up to 5 guests. Maximum occupancy strictly enforced in accordance with local ordinances.



The Space:

Kolea 14F is nestled along the tranquil blue waters and soft sand beaches of Anaeho'omalu Bay (A-BAY). Ideal for families or individuals who enjoy gracious, exclusive vacation residences, Kolea Villas offers luxurious accommodations for discerning guests. Please note that Kolea Resort has a 4-night minimum stay requirement.



Each room features modern and island decor creating a Hawaiian atmosphere. The gourmet kitchen has everything a chef could need. Stainless steel appliances and ample granite countertops are prepared for home cooking. 2 guests can enjoy sitting at the built-in breakfast bar. Call everyone to the dining table with seating for 6 to enjoy a meal together.



A BBQ and kitchenette are assembled on the private lanai to make this happen. A patio dining table is arranged with seating for 5 - so you can dine, drink, and unwind while enjoying the coastal breeze.



Leave the lanai doors open to allow the fresh air inside while you sink into the plush seating options. A large flat screen TV with DVD player are ready to show you a movie at the end of the night. Central air conditioning, a washer/dryer, stereo, and WIFI are provided for your convenience. The couch also functions as a sofa sleeper for additional space.



The master bedroom has a luxurious California King-sized bed, TV, and an attached bathroom. The master bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub, ideal for relaxing, a standalone shower, and vanity. The second bedroom is suitable for accommodating the kids as it has two Twin-sized beds and a TV. The guest bathroom has a shower/tub combo.



We provide 2 beach chairs and 1 cooler for guest use. Beach towels are available for guests.



Kolea is a gated community located on the Big Island in Anaeho'omalu Bay ("A-Bay"), home to giant sea turtles and a playground of migrating whales. With the only private beach access in the Waikoloa resort area, Kolea rests amidst palms and ancient fish ponds near the water's edge where Mauna Kea, the world's highest island mountain, meets the ocean. From the expected, a heated infinity edge pool and concierge services, to the unexpected, like a private beach club, the Kolea experience is one of privilege and perfection.



Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property, on the premises, and in any nearby common areas. Violations will result in an automatic $500 fine, plus any additional costs for carpet and upholstery cleaning or other damages caused.

Pool is heated.

This home will be stocked with a starter set of consumables such as soaps and paper products. Guests are advised to either bring or purchase additional after arrival.

The condo was perfect! Small but nice view of the beach! Kitchen was nice and plenty of dishes, pots, pans, glasses, wine glasses and coffee cups and coffee maker. Beds and furniture were comfortable. The balcony was great. Bathrooms nicely done! Washer and dryer! Internet was fine. We had an awesome time! Highly recommend this property!

We had a wonderful stay at this Waikoloa Beach Resort condo and would absolutely come back again. The unit was a spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bath on the top floor, which made it feel private and peaceful. The A/C worked great the entire time, keeping everything cool and comfortable.The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, making it easy to prepare meals. We also really appreciated the extras like beach chairs and boogie boards—perfect for enjoying the nearby beach.Everything was very clean, and we didn’t encounter any bugs during our stay, which is always a challenge in Hawaii. Parking was convenient and hassle-free, and the beds were very comfortable.The location was ideal—close enough for easy beach access, but set back just enough to stay quiet and relaxing. The only sounds we really noticed were the occasional birds chirping, which honestly added to the tropical vibe.Overall, a great experience, and we’d definitely stay here again!

Lovely condo

From the moment we walked in & heard the Hawaiian music playing on the TV, we knew we had made the right choice. Great location. Easy walk to the beautiful pool, the fish ponds, & A-Bay. The sunsets were incredible! Absolutely loved our stay @ Kolea 14F.

Nice and spacious

Great location. Convenient access to beach. Close to restaurants and shops. The unit is located on the 3rd floor but there is an elevator. It is very clean and spacious. It had a nice terrace with a view where we ate breakfast everyday. Beds were comfy. Kitchen had most of the things we needed. Overall, a great place to stay for a family with kids.

Visited a few times, keep coming back

Very nice property, good views, reasonable pricing, gated community with walking distance/access to shopping, restaurants, beach, pool. Some toys in the condo (boogie board, fins for a child, or someone with normal sized feet). In the past 2 years they've replaced the washer/dryer (they're much faster and quieter now). We feel right at home when we visit this place (this is our 3rd visit).

Lovely condo with ocean views & access

The balcony provided a view of the ocean as we sipped our morning coffee and access to the pool and ocean are a very easy walk. While we did not have young children with us, we found boogie boards, sand buckets, fins, and a mask in the closet, so we can see how this condo would be ideal for a family, too. Everything was clean and, when we walked in, music was playing on the TV while the AC was running. Very nice touches! Grocery and other shopping is close by, but it is at resort pricing, so if you have a car, the drive to Waikoloa Village, 15 minutes inland, to the local KTA market is worth it. We would stay here again!

Great location for families

Great spot for families — the pool was great, and access to A-bay beach was lovely. The house was so much nicer than it appeared in the photos. The property company, however, was useless. There is no information about the resort in their information book, so I called to find out more details about what is available at the resort and where everything is. They recommended I try the book. Then told me they would text me back with more information - a half an hour later got a message with no useful info. For goodness sakes - please include a map of the resort!!

Kolea is our favourite!

We really enjoyed spending Christmas in this unit. It was clean, well furnished and mostly well stocked. The beds were all very comfortable. For a family of five, we appreciated the five chairs on the lanai (rare). The view was lovely. Our only disappointments were that the ice maker wasn’t working and that the beach supplies were seriously lacking. There was only ONE beach chair, two beach towels and one boogie board that wasn’t broken. We’ve rented yearly in Kolea for 15 years and haven’t ever had this problem. We left four new good quality boards so we hope new guests have fun! Overall we were happy and would return.

Great place but management company could be better

Loved the condo and the complex it was in. The accommodations were perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). The location was perfect - walking distance to shops and restaurants and easy to get around to other areas of the island. While the condo and complex were great we had a couple issues. The worst being that they shampooed the carpeting right before we got there and it was still terribly wet when we arrived, making the whole place smell like a wet dog. Unfortunately, there was no prior notice of this, nor did the management company acknowledge or help to deal with it and it smelled that way for days. The gas grill was also out of propane when we arrived and while they did replace the tank after we reached out, they never notified us that it was happening or when it would happen, so we had to follow up multiple times. We would definitely stay here again but we were disappointed with the lack of communication by Grand Welcome.

Great location, short walk to pool and beach. The condo was clean when we arrived. Beds were more firm than I like but they were clearly nice. We ended up buying some more pillows since we both like several and there weren't extras with all the beds filled. The AC was a bit loud but it kept us nice and cool. They had no food (oil, cooking spray etc) but did have some basic spices. We had a small issue with the door when we extended our stay for a day but a quick call for us access to the lock box key. It was very tricky finding the building and parking in the dark. Ideally a small map with building and parking location would be included in the check in instructions because the written ones were still tricky when we were exhausted. There were boogie boards and a set of snorkeling gear but the fins were for larger adults (I'm guessing this changes as people leave stuff and other things break). The pots and pans were decent and plenty of cooking utensils. I would have liked more silverware since we kept using up all the forks well before we were otherwise ready to run the dishwasher. The community pool didn't allow goats in the pool which was disappointing but it was warm and comfortable. The outdoor seating was lovely and we enjoyed breakfasts out there each morning. Overall we were very happy with the condo and would stay again.

We’ll share your notes with the owner and housekeeping/maintenance about: - extra pillows and more silverware - replenishing basic pantry items (oil, cooking spray) - checking AC noise and the door/lock procedures - adding a small map and clearer parking/building directions for night arrivals - inspecting snorkel fins and beach gear sizes Sorry the beds were firmer than you prefer and that finding the building in the dark was tricky. No upkeep!

Love Kolea .. but 2 dresser drawers fell out hit foot (no injury) when opened ... in master', 3rd was stuck ( took drawers out and left in closet). Evident this was not recently broken furniture but was never repaired, the runners were čompletely worn. Icemaker did make ice but broken. Evident it was broken when we got there and not repaired. And towels and sheets .. we wash? What if residents prior to us only used rinse cycle? Will stay at Kolea again, but will not book thru same company.

We love the layout of the condo, the location, and the amenities provided. There's accessibility to the beach and a pool within a block's walking distance. It's extremely peaceful and clean. The grounds are kept immaculately groomed. Other guests are respectful.

Excellent Place to Stay

We had five people and found this to be an excellent place to stay. The walk to the pool area (also excellent) is about a block and the beach is about a block beyond that. The condo is large and comfortable. Our fifth person had the couch hide-a-bed; no complaints, but the couch itself looked comfier. Be aware of 3 things: 1) It’s hard to find the right building if you arrive in the dark. There’s good signage around, but it’s not lit well at night. 2) The covered parking for this unit runs parallel to the building. There’s another area that runs kind of perpendicular to the building, but that’s for building 15, not 14. 3) Some rentals have a lot of staples (oil, salt, etc.) in the kitchen, but this one did not when we were there. Overall, this was an amazing and convenient place to stay that provided us with a week of luxury.

Slice of Paradise

We love staying in Kolea! It is a beautiful property! Unit 14F is actually very well appointed: everything we needed in kitchen, all appliances provided (nice blender & coffee maker) even little items like: seran wrap, foil, baggies, some spices and coffee filters. However when I asked Property Manager (prior to departure) what beach items the condo had available for our use (beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, cooler etc) they replied to my email, “no, owner does not provide anything other than bath towels and a basic welcome kit of toilet paper, soap. If you require more you will need to bring your own.” This was quite disappointing as we’d never stayed in a Kolea condo that did not have such items full stocked and available for our use. So I rented items in advance and checked a bag with beach towels. . However, upon arrival ALL of those items were found right there in the condo closet/cupboard: 2 beach chairs, 1 umbrella, 2 boogie boards and 6 beach towels.So for those renting 14F, the owner HAS INDEED gone out of their way to make your stay comfortable both while in the condo and while enjoying the beautiful beaches. I recommend Property Manager make a quick visit to ALL their properties so they may provide accurate information to renters. We would definitely renter this unit again.

Beautiful location and condo

Such a beautiful location. Condo was better than described. Loved sitting out on the deck and eating breakfast while seeing the ocean. Easy short walk to pool and ocean. Pool area is beautiful and has a great covered area to just hang out I. Would definitely stay again!

Nice, but interior, 2BR Kolea condo

Kolea is our favorite place to stay on the big island. Chill pool & hot tub. No crowds. Balconies with grills. Easy access to a nice beach. Proximity to restaurants and services. This condo is nicely decorated, equipped and well maintained. The management company called to make sure everything was OK. In the past we'd always stayed in 3BRs, which are 2 to a floor and have lots of exterior windows. This time, with only 2 of us, we booked a 2BR without thinking about how the buildings are arranged. As we learned, the two "interior" 2BR units (DEFGHJ) on each floor have no windows in the kitchen/living area except the pocket doors, and fewer bedroom windows. Still a nice condo, but if windows are important to you find an exterior 2BR.
