The owner was proactive in communication and also answered questions I had during the stay within the hour. The space is comfortable, well-appointed, and homey. I found everything I needed for a week's stay, and the location is close to food (I highly recommend Cali's!) and public transit. If they'd let me live here, I'd move in tomorrow!

This cozy home was the full second story of the house in a quiet neighborhood. Just one block from a park and close to a lot of cute spots. Great neighborhood as far as we could tell.The host provided a well designed detailed booklet before our stay with a printed version in the house. Everything was well labeled and comfortable. We used both bedrooms and the very comfortable convertible couch. We cooked a full meal in the kitchen, small but everything worked great and well equipped with a small oven, full stove top, dishwasher and great coffeemaker. We made a lot of use of the dining room (which is oddly on the exact opposite side of the house from the kitchen). With all the big windows I was worried it would be cold but it was so comfortable. There is a huge selection of games and a great wall to see where other visitors have come from.Our visit was in January with a few inches of snow on the ground. The host had decorated with light up snowflakes which was great at night to light our way to the side door, a private entrance. We had no need to contact the host during our trip as everything went very smoothly, but I knew how to contact them and felt confident if we had a problem it would have been taken care of quickly.
Game closet! Great long table in the dining room/ porch for games or a meal.

Property was less than expected

I want to start by saying there was no major issue with the property or with the host. We were just generally disappointed in the quality of everything in the property and would not return. The apartment is above others, which you can hear people and dogs all day. There is a large dog in the backyard that is a shared space (you are required to go through the yard to get from your car and take out the trash per the host's directions).

I also want to start by saying that Rob was a great guest, and we were happy to give him a 5 star review! That being said, I think there were two reasons he was disappointed…the first, is that I do not think he read the online info well. I believe that what we say about our space, and the pictures we share, are very clear and helpful and represent exactly what we have to offer our guests. We also have lots of very clear info in the space to help as well. The second reason is that he didn’t communicate well. None of these needs or issues were ever addressed while they were here, and if they were, we would have offered solutions for them. Again, we were glad to have Rob, and we are also pleased to offer a beautiful space for anyone to enjoy NE Minneapolis, and all that our amazing city has to offer!

The space & location was perfect for a long weekend getaway. We lived in Northeast twenty some years ago, around the time that Art-a-Whirl started, so we appreciated all the local art in the apartment. And we loved the porch table setup for playing an evening board game with our kids. If we need a place to stay again, we’ll check back in for sure!

We have lived in Minnesota since 2005 and we look forward to helping you enjoy it too! We love to travel and enjoy the outdoors. One of the reasons we love this area is the accessability to "The Grand Rounds", which is over 40 miles of trails along the Mississippi River, lakes, and parks.

We hope you will love Northeast Minneapolis as much as we do! We moved here in 2023 to renovate this home built in 1900 and enjoy the life of the Northeast Arts District. We love our quiet city neighborhood, amazing food and drink options, and of course, the arts and all that the city of Minneapolis has to offer. We are so glad you are here!

Our newly renovated home built in the year 1900 is a part of the beautiful, fun, & exciting area of NE Minneapolis. The NE Arts District is home to many large artist studio buildings, the historic Stone Arch Bridge, as well as scenic parks and trails along the Mississippi River.

Our home is walking distance to James Beard Award Winning restaurants, breweries, and coffeeshops, as well as a short Uber or drive to all of the Minneapolis sports and entertainment venues including the U of Minnesota.
