Wouldn't book again without changes
Overall we enjoyed our stay in OBX. The house was nice, and in a good location. However, something needs to be done with the master bedroom. There are double doors that lead out to a porch from the bedroom, but there are no blinds or curtains of any kind. That meant people could see directly into the room at all times from outside, and you better be an early riser as the room is fully lit as soon as the sun starts to rise, 5 AM for us all week. There is also a large bay window in the master that looks down into the living room, and once again, no blinds or curtains, so no privacy and full light early in the AM. Other than the master bedroom issues, the house is nice. The other issue that needs addressed is the booking process. If you're going to book this property, don't book it on VRBO as they are doing nothing but list the property. The entire booking process is through a 3rd party, Resort Realty, including the actual contract you sign. If you book through VRBO, you'll pay several hundred dollars in fees to them for doing nothing. If don't mind the fees and do book through VRBO, be aware that a contract from the 3rd part will show up in your email within 24 hrs that you'll need to sign, and there will be an additional fee to make your second payment for rental that's not discloused anywhere in the VRBO listing. Overall, we had a good trip, but wouldn't book this property again without changes to the master bedroom and booking process.
