Black Gold the Gatlinburg Cabin for You

If you are looking for a cabin that is close to Gatlinburg but not IN Gatlinburg, then Black Gold is the cabin for you. This 1 bedroom 2 bath cabin can sleep 6 with the help of a lofted room with a queen bed. It’s also the ideal size for a couple looking to get away alone. The master suite features a jacuzzi tub to soak away your cares or you can relax in the hot tub, on the covered deck, and soak in the views instead. Whether you have 2 or 6 people, this cabin has a lot of seating in the kitchen and dining area for everyone to sit down together and enjoy a meal prepared in the nicely equipped kitchen. If adventuring out sounds good, Gatlinburg is only a few minutes away or you can hop on the Spur and be in Pigeon Forge within minutes too. Getting away, even for a weekend, can be priceless. Black Gold is just what you need.

Not a huge deal because I run turnaround services but they could have cleaned windows and knocked down some cobwebs around the deck. A ceiling fan did not work in the living room but that too was not a huge deal ..the place was nice I would stay again. Maybe reference the two hair pin turns on the way up for weary out of townera not use to the incline.

Thank you so much for the feedback—and for understanding! Your suggestion about noting the steep, winding drive up is really helpful. We appreciate guests like you who know the turnaround game. We'd love to have you back, and thanks again for the constructive notes!

The cabin is laid out nice. The road to get to it is a little treacherous, would not recommend larger vehicle to access that road. My biggest complaint is the cobwebs everywhere and stink bugs. The deck has a nice corner couch that I was looking forward to sitting in but there are cobwebs all over it and it’s infested with stink bugs. I just feel like a better cleaning job could have been done. The whole place is in serious need of a deep clean. Also a giant spider in the jacuzzi tub. Otherwise it was ok but would never pick this cabin again. Better to look elsewhere unfortunately.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We genuinely appreciate you bringing these cleanliness concerns to our attention—the cobwebs, stink bugs, and spider issue are definitely not the experience we want our guests to have. Your points about the outdoor furniture and deck are particularly helpful. We're going to conduct a thorough deep clean immediately and address the pest concerns. We understand your hesitation about returning, and we respect that. However, we do wish you had called us during your stay and we would have been happy to remedy any of the issues you mentioned to make it more enjoyable. Thank you for being honest with us—it helps us improve.
