The house needs a little TLC but the view makes up for that. One of the best views of the ocean I've seen in a while. Had a restful stay very relaxing. Location is close to everything. Hot tub was great after a day hiking.

This is a gorgeous place to stay with the most amazing view! It's really great for stargazing. The location is very convenient for reaching Mendocino and Ft Bragg. The stairs and shower might be difficult for someone with mobility issues, but I found them fun. All in all, it's a great property, and I would be glad to stay again!

The location was really convenient, quiet and beautiful. One of the patio doors was stuck shut which wasn’t ideal for views, but still nice. A 3 ring binder explaining all of the different appliances, codes, passwords would be helpful. The kitchen was low on basic spices/oils and it was hard to tell if the coffee beans were fresh so we didn’t use them. The bathroom not stocked for our week stay. I think the cabin could use a deep cleaning, but nothing that was not tolerable. Overall, some fixes would be appreciated, but it didn’t spoil a lovely week on the coast. You won’t regret staying here!!

The Desire Cabin was perfect to unwind in after a week in the Redwoods! Quiet, with a lovely view of the coast, and birds circling the thermals just above us. The hot tub, laundry, and kitchen were great. The furnace cut out, but the owner was on it and got his handyman out to fix it on the 4th of July weekend. Great response. Close to Mendocino and Ft. Bragg, and the Albion Market is just a few minutes away for last minute supplies.

Incredible value for what you get. Hot tub, ocean view and the perfect amount of space for a party of two. Some signs of wear/damage here and there, but nothing that would've negatively impacted the stay.

The home was super cozy, beautifully decorated, had every kitchen utensil needed and very private. We enjoyed the incrediblely comfortable bed, secluded deck and hot tub and played a few games from the cabinet. The view was incredible!

Great location and very cozy! Well appointed kitchen - cabin really has all one could need. The intensity of the coastal weather clearly has its effect - doors and windows could use some TLC but otherwise a lovely stay. Thank you!

We loved the cliffside retreat that the Desire Cabin provided! Thank you so much for allowing us to participate in this little piece of paradise! We absolutely will be wanting to return in the future. The ambience, the views from every room were a treat. We were a little concerned that the hot tub may have needed additional water or maintenance, so we chose to enjoy the views in other capacities without indulging in using the hot tub this trip. We very much appreciated the coffee bar and the Adirondack chairs facing the sea no matter what time of day! The cabin is very peaceful and very serene. It was just what we needed! Thanks again for the hospitality!

Location absolutely cannot be beat. The view and sounds of the ocean are spectacular. Hot tub wonderful; Instructions should be included for jet operation. House itself needs a lot more attention. Torn curtain in front; toilet old and too low; getting in and out of shower is a test of agility and balance; doors warped; bed difficult to get out of; re cleanliness: please invest in new mattress pad and pillows as they are disgusting. Towels smelled mildewed. Also we think the downstairs had not been vacuumed before we arrived as there were crumbs and other stuff on floor.
