The Space:

Nestled on the outskirts of the Red River Gorge, The Lookout is the ultimate retreat for relaxation and adventure. This cozy cabin is an ideal getaway for couples, families, or small groups.



Step inside to find a warm and inviting main-level space, featuring a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable living area with an electric fireplace for added ambiance, and a charming coffee bar stocked with everything you need to brew your perfect cup of morning joe. The main level also includes a full bathroom—complete with a heated toilet seat and heated floor for extra comfort—and a main bedroom with a NovaForm Grande Plus advanced gel memory foam queen mattress. For a personalized night’s sleep, take advantage of our pillow menu, offering multiple options to suit your preference. Upstairs, a lofted bedroom (no door) offers a cozy full bed for additional guests.



Outside, the spacious deck is your private oasis, featuring a charcoal grill and patio table. A separate covered deck hosts a luxurious hot tub where you can enjoy a therapeutic soak while taking in the serene forest views. For stargazing enthusiasts, we provide a telescope so you can take in the breathtaking night sky. A Bluetooth speaker is also available, so you can set the perfect soundtrack for your stay. As the sun sets, gather around the fire pit to roast marshmallows, share stories, and enjoy the crisp mountain air.



Whether you're unwinding in the hot tub, sipping coffee on the deck, or cozying up by the fire, The Lookout promises a tranquil escape surrounded by nature's beauty—perfect for recharging and creating unforgettable memories!



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the entire property and cabin via keypad and may come and go as they wish without the hassle of checking in with anyone. The private parking area will fit two cars comfortably. There is a second parking option that accommodates once vehicle located near the road in case guests need extra room or do not want to drive up the steep driveway. Once parked, please note, there are 50 steps up to the front door of the cabin. Some of these steps are crafted with large railroad ties without a handrail.



The Neighborhood:

This cabin resides in Campton, KY near Campton Lake. Overall this cabin is very private without any neighbors in sight.



Other Things to Note:

Please note: This property is for guests aged 21 and older only and not suitable for children. No exceptions.

RRG Getaways supplies a starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply.

This property has a Keurig and a regular drip coffee maker. Coffee, creamer, and sugar are provided.

Firewood is complementary.

There is a charcoal grill on the deck, guests are asked to bring their own charcoal and lighter fluid.

This cabin utilizes well water and is safe for all uses, but does have a slight iron tint. We provide reverse osmosis filtered drinking water, but guests are also welcome to bring their own drinking water if they’d like.

Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) are provided.

This cabin does not allow pets. A $100 violation fee will be applied if we find evidence of pets at this cabin.

Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited in the cabin.

4x4 is not needed under normal weather conditions but is strongly encouraged after heavy rainfall or snow.

There are 50 steps from the parking area up to the cabin. Some of these steps do not have a handrail.

There are 3 security cameras outside. One is pointed towards the front steps and the other two are pointed at the parking areas. The cameras do not face anywhere near the hot tub.

There is a level 1, EV charging dock at this cabin for guest use. Please bring your own charger/adapter.

Cell coverage at this cabin is generally good depending on your provider. There is fiber internet at the cabin as well.
