Amazing country home in Icelandic scenic nature, close to mature attractions
Solhlid is a wonderful vacation home for 6 persons with a huge deck, nestled on a private country lot within a serene and secure area. The home is providing a delightful retreat with a amazing hot tub and walking paths through the woods. There are smoke detectors, 3 bedrooms (1 with queen bed, 2 with x2 twin beds), bathroom with a shower. Fully equipped kitchen (f.ex. Fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave) and a washing machine. Bedrooms have blackout curtains to lock out the midnight sun so you can sleep well. Big living room with dining area and 2 sliding doors to a deck with grill and another dining set as well as sitting area by the hot tub. Good and secure area for children to play and enjoy the nature.

Nature draws me in, allowing me to relax and recharge. At the country house, I find clean air, peace and quiet. Stunning views, vibrant birds, blooming flowers, and towering trees surround me—there’s always something new to discover. While I am away I love to allow other good people to enjoy our family house.

We are in the middle of special places and I love to hike in the unparalleled nature. Ingólfsfjall right in front of us. The mountain is named after the Viking who discovered Iceland (Ingólfur Arnarson). To the west is Búrfell, another special mountain close to Thingvellir the National Park where the first parlament in the world was established the year 930. To the north of us is Kerið, the famous cradle and the glacial river Hvítá (White River) to the east. We are by the scenic road called the Golden Circle with many amazing places ; Gullfoss, Geysir, Laugarvatn within an hour drive from us.
