There were roaches in the kitchen. The owner confirmed they knew about them and told us they didn't want to use heavy chemicals with a family coming (we booked the day before so that doesn't make much sense). The listing was still available for booking the following 2 nights after our stay so they don't seem to be taking accountability to fix the problem.

A perfect rental for my visit to Rumford. I am originally from that area, so many friends and relatives to visit. The location is centrally located and has extra parking for visitors. The house had everything that I needed and more, towels, dishes, pots and pans, coffee makers and microwave and toaster oven. Washer and dryer was definitely a plus for my extended stay. The host was certainly very responsive to any questions I may have had. Pet friendly was a must and my cats loved having a second floor for them and myself to sleep. Nice neighborhood and quiet and close to the hospital. Highly recommend this property during any season you choose.

This property is a gem. Located in the town of Rumford, the home was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The request to avoid wearing shoes on the hardwood floors is completely understandable, as the floors are beautiful and clearly well cared for.We were especially grateful to arrive and find the air conditioning already keeping the home cool, since we experienced several days with temperatures near 100 degrees. The kitchen was convenient, the property was pet-friendly, and the host was easy to communicate with throughout our stay.A few notes for future travelers, not complaints: the stairs are steeper than many people may be used to, and the shower design may be challenging for very tall guests. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would gladly return when we are in the area again.

We had rented this property in December of 2024 and were pleased with it so we returned on this trip. Upon entering the house we noticed terrible smells like animal urine and body odor on the living room furniture. The first night we were there we turned on the kitchen lights and a few cockroaches scattered across the counters and in the kitchen sink. Over the period of a couple of days not only were there the roaches but also small bugs in the kitchen. The odors in the downstairs was so bad that we purchased scented candles to help somewhat. The body odors on the leather furniture in the living room were pretty gross too. We did email the owner who apologized and said pest control was scheduled soon and he offered us a free night if/when we returned. The cleanliness of the home overall was disappointing and needless to say, we will not be returning or would not recommend the property.

Great location for skiers!

This was a great location for our family ski trip to Black Mountain and Bethel area. The bedding was very comfortable, and everything was clean.

The house is lovely, roomy and well-located for walks, hikes and groceries. It’s very clean and the host was kind and very responsive. On our first full day we got about 10” of snow and he called in a plow without hesitation or a need to ask. We will be back here I’m sure!

The host responded right away and provided great instructions on getting in to the house and all of the things we needed to know!The house was awesome!! Warm and so, so, clean!!! The area is nice and very quiet with all necessary things close by. We took a drive to the Black Mountain of Maine ski area and could not believe there is a ski area 5 minutes away!!!We couldn't have had a nicer stay! Thank you!

Property was very short driver to Hannaford or Walmart for forgotten items or grabbing food. Just over 10 min drive to Black Mountain. House was clean, comfortable and had good assortment of items in the kitchen. There were some books, games, foosball table and free streaming channels on the tv. The pellet stove is nice for warming up after skiing.

Great location. Easy access to Black Mountain of Maine approximately 9 minutes and Sunday River is about 25 mins from my house. Grocery store is down the street that sells liquor and few local restaurants as well.
Newly renovated and cozy.
