Great Place to Relax and Explore

Our stay in Monopoli was great! What a lovely apartment with such great views! Situated in the historical area, we could walk everywhere....to beautiful beaches, 25 minute walk to the train and an interesting area to explore.

A quiet get-away with a sea view

I stayed in this property for a couple of weeks and couldn't have been happier. Listening to the sound of the sea from the balcony was a highlight, particularly as there is hardly any traffic in the historic centre. Lots of restaurants and bars, literally on the doorstep and a shoer walk to a sandy beach. Be aware that the apartment is up some steep steps and the roof terrace even more so (to the point that I didn't really use it), but that's typical of the area and shouldn't put you off unless you have mobility issues. All communication with the owner was easy and I'd certainly recomend a visit.

Nette, kleine Wohnung mitten im historischen Zentrum Monopolis

Sehr schöne Lage. Abends m. geöffneten Fenstern manchmal etwas lauter durch die umliegenden Restaurants/Bars. Wohnung ist nett u. m. allem Nützlichen eingerichtet. Leider nur italienisches TV. Treppenaufgang zur Wohnung u. zur gemeinsam genutzten Dachterrasse teilweise recht steil. Giacomo, d. Vermieter ist super nett u. hilfreich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt u. können einen dortigen Aufenthalt empfehlen!

Schöne kleine Wohnung im Herzen von Monopoli

Sehr gut gelegene relativ kleine Wohnung, die der Beschreibung ganz und gar entsprach. Monopoli ist im Oktober ein sehr schönes Ziel, weil noch was los ist, aber es sehr entspannt zugeht. Besonders die gerade laufende Fotoausstellung im Kastell und Palazzo Palmieri hat uns gefallen.

Monopoli is een mooie, oude plaats. De woning naast en onder de onze wordt ook verhuurd, je komt elkaar vaak tegen en deelt het terras. Er zijn niet genoeg zitplaatsen, dus soms heb je pech. Als je gesteld bent op je privacy moet je dit huis niet huren

Schöne Ferienwohnung mit toller Dachterasse

Wir waren Ende März 2019 zum ersten Mal in Apulien und im Rückblick froh, uns für Monopoli als Ausgangsort für unsere Erkundungen (z.B. Bari, Polignano, einige Orte im Salento, aber auch Matera in der Basilikata) entschieden zu haben. Die Altstadt ist wirklich malerisch und zumindest jetzt in der Nebensaison noch nicht allzu überlaufen – das ändert sich vermutlich im Sommer. Die Ferienwohnung liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Castello und damit auch zum Meer und war eine tolle Wahl: Giacomo haben wir als ausgesprochen sympathischen, aufmerksamen und ehrlichen Vermieter kennengelernt, dem ein angenehmer Aufenthalt seiner Gäste wichtig ist. Die sehr saubere Wohnung war entsprechend den Angaben ausgestattet; es waren saubere Bettwäsche und Handtücher vorhanden sowie zwei kleine Herdplatten, Spülbecken, Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, einiges an Geschirr, ein kleiner Fernseher, ein Sofa, eine Waschmaschine im Bad und Wäscheleinen auf dem kleinen Balkon. Das W-LAN hat gut funktioniert. Der große Pluspunkt der Wohnung ist die Dachterasse mit Meerblick, die v.a. dann ein Traum sein muss, wenn es schon etwas wärmer als im März, aber noch nicht so heiß wie im Juli und August ist. Doch auch wir haben sie genutzt. Barrierefrei ist die Ferienwohnung nicht, aber auch da würde ich mich mit Giacomo in Verbindung setzen, da er evtl. auch in diesem Fall weiterhelfen kann. Insgesamt ist die Ferienwohnung sehr zu empfehlen – wir können uns gut vorstellen, nochmal zu kommen.

Ogni due mesi al massimo veniamo a Monopoli per motivi di famiglia. Abbiamo trovato sino ad ora, qui a Monopoli, sempre puntualità correttezza e calda accoglienza. Purtroppo l'esperienza ,nel periodo di Natale, in questa struttura non è da ripetere. I motivi sono diversi, ad esempio: "Animali ammessi" significa pagare un extra all'arrivo, di 30 euro, senza ricevuta. Scomodo l'accesso con scale ripide e disconnesse all'appartamento per non parlare poi dell'impervio e pericoloso accesso alla terrazza. Casa trovata fredda. Asciugacapelli disponibile dal giorno dopo, quindi fatta doccia all'arrivo asciugando i capelli con gli asciugamani da noi portati in quanto non disponibili (solo a pagamento, come le lenzuola). Luce per le scale con breve durata, costringendoci a salire o scendere al buio. Gli interruttori delle scale non sono individuabili essendo non luminosi e soprattutto non comodamente allocati. La caparra non ci è stata restituita, come da accordi che avevamo intrapresi precedentemente ma sono sono state trattenute 30 euro per "pulizie", più tassa di soggiorno, sempre senza ricevuta. Sconsigliamo questa struttura. Lasciamo una stella per la posizione nel pieno centro vicino al Castello.

Liebenswertes Refugium mitten in einer unterschätzten Stadt!

Selbst Ende Oktober noch Badewetter in Apulien -- beste Ausgangslage dafür ist dieses Appartement! Eigentlich lieben wir Agriturismo auf dem Land oder eine Masseria in Alleinlage, aber deutlich nach Ende der Saison ist diese zentrale Lage von großem Vorteil -- fast alle gut bewerteten Restaurants und sogar die gerühmte Eisdiele hatten noch geöffnet. Und so ist Monopoli -- wie andere schon schrieben -- ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in Apulien oder insb. den Salent! Und Giacomo ist ein guter Vermieter, stets in erreichbarer Nähe, wenn es Fragen gibt, man einen Restaurant-Tipp braucht oder etwas fehlt, super! Vorbildlich auch die Sauberkeit der Wohnung -- leider immer noch keine Selbstverständlichkeit in Süd-Italien. Nur einen Parkplatz für den Mietwagen vor der Tür sollte man nicht erwarten, sofern man einen hat. Also alles nahezu perfekt -- wir kommen wieder!

Vacanze senza soprese negative

Ottimo ambiente, casa accogliente e pulita. L’appartamente si trova al centro storico di Monopoli con vista sul mare ed è dotato di tutti i comfort. Comodo anche per chi vuole godersi il mare senza utilizzare la macchina. In ultimo volevo ringraziare Giacomo per la sua gentilezza e professionità.

Superbe séjour !

Superbe séjour à Monopoli une fois de plus. Nous avons passé, pour la 3ème fois, un très agréable séjour dans le centre historique de Monopoli, ville dont nous sommes tombé amoureux il y a 5 ans. L'appartement de Giacomo est superbement bien situé. En plein cœur du centre historique : à 2 pas du château Carlos V, que l'on peut voir depuis le petit balcon de l'appartement, à 5 minutes à pied de la plage de la Porta Vecchia et tout près de la petite place Garibaldi où il fait bon manger une glace en fin d'après-midi, après le retour de la plage. Tous les restaurants, bars, cafés et commerces sont accessibles à pieds. L'appartement est très confortable et bien équipé. Le top : c'est la superbe terrasse en haut, avec vue sur la mer, le port et le château. Giacomo a changé tout le mobilier de la terrasse le lendemain de notre arrivée, en y rajoutant des transats, une grande table et des fleurs ! Giacomo a été adorable, disponible et toujours très souriant à chaque fois que nous l'avons croisé. Il est venu nous chercher à la petite gare de Monopoli à notre arrivée et nous y a déposé le jour du départ. Monopoli, on y reviendra, c'est sûr et on séjournera dans le même appartement !

De superbes vacances dans un lieu "magique"

Tout d'abord mille mercis Giacomo. Un petit "chez soi" au bord de mer !! Nous sommes arrivés le dimanche 1er octobre et avons été accueilli chaleureusement par Giacomo, le propriétaire. Il nous a mis tout de suite à l'aise et nous a aidé à transporter nos bagages jusqu'à l'appartement. Appartement très bien situé dans le centre historique de Monopoli : vue sur la mer du balcon, à 1 minute du port de pêche et à 3 minutes des plages (sable ou rochers). Appartement dans un état de propreté exemplaire (mille bravos à la sympathique femme de ménage). Cuisine très bien équipée. Belle salle de bains spacieuse dotée d'une machine à laver le linge (super pratique l'orque l'on reste 5 semaines, eh oui nous avons eu cette chance de pouvoir profiter de Monopoli pendant tout ce temps). Nous avons pu déjeuner sur la terrasse du toît donnant sur la mer, super). Le centre historique de Monopoli est très intéressant et très beau. Nous avons beaucoup aimé nous promener et même nous "perdre" dans les petites ruelles qui le soir prennent de magnifiques couleurs dûs au coucher de soleil, à l'éclairage. C'est un endroit plein de charme où les habitants et commerçants vous accueillent chaleureusement. Ne manquez pas d'aller Place Garibaldi à l'heure de la "passeggiata" et de vous promener dans les ruelles, le long de la mer (c'est un enchantement) et sur le port. Ne pas oublier d'aller sur le port à l'heure du retour des bâteaux de pêche. Ils ramènent de très beaux et bons poissons ainsi que des crevettes, poulpes, calamars et des "cicale". On y croise des gens superbes, gentils, généreux comme le papa de Giacomo, Eligio, pêcheur qui aime son métier et sa région. Ils n'hésitent pas à vous conseiller sur les endroits à visiter et à vous parler de leur très belle région. Encore un grand merci à eux deux pour leur gentillesse et leur grand cœur !!!! Nous reviendrons c'est certain !!!!

Best location in Monopoli

Apartment is 1min from outdoor bar by castle, 2mins from Minimarket, 5mins to good beach and in the midst of wonderful buildings and squares. Giacomo is an excellent host. Most helpful and may be able to pick you up from airport. The apartment is small but very well equipped with big sunny roof terrace over castle and see. Most recommended if you can manage lots of steep steps

bellissime vacanze a Monopoli

Abbiamo trascorso a Monopoli una bellissima vacanza. La casa di Giacomo, situata in un pittoresco edificio storico , è molto carina, funzionale e dotata di ogni comfort (compresa l'aria condizionata che abbiamo molto appreazzato!), ma la cosa veramente stupenda di questo appartamento è la posizione nel cuore del centro di Monopoli; il balconcino ha una meravigliosa vista mare e l'edificio è adiacente alla piazza con l'antica torre , che costituisce forse il punto più suggestivo della cittadina. Le spiagge della contrada Capitolo, raggiungibili in pochi minuti di auto sono belle , pulite e ben organizzate e il mare è limpido e cristallino. Nei numerosissimi ristorantini sotto casa si può apprezzare l'ottima cucina pugliese. Giacomo è stato molto gentile e presente. Che dire? Torneremo!

Stunning location in Monopoli in Puglia

Just returned from 10 days in Monopoli. We stayed in this beautiful apartment in the old town of Monopoli. It is compact but has everything you need. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the roof terrace was perfect for the al fresco lunch. We were met by the lovely Giacomo who provided us with all the information we needed about the apartment and the location. We were in the centre of everything, especially the beautiful restaurants and the buzz of the night life. The apartment is 5 minutes walk to a lovely beach, one of many along the coast , it was perfect for swimming which we did every day, even after a day away sight seeing. I would highly recommend this apartment to my friends and family. Thank you Giacomo for your hospitality and your efficiency.

We stayed at Giacomo's apartment and were delighted with our choice.The apartment is really well located and close to all the attractions that Monopoli has to offer.....lovely little beaches,great restaurants,nice bars and of course the wonderful architecture of the old town.Giacomo collected and dropped us off at the airport which really made our travel stress free.He was a really genuine and nice guy and helped us in whatever way he could.The apartment itself is really nice and clean and has adequate cooking facilities.The bed was one of the most comfortable that I have slept in while on holiday with lovely crisp sheets.The terrace is huge and has beautiful sea views.The only thing that one needs to be aware of is that the apartment and the terrace are both accessed by short but steep stairways.Overall we had a great time in Monopoli and if ever back there we would hope to stay at Giacomo's again.

Belle découverte .

Très bel appartement , idéalement situé dans Monopoli , face au château Georges 5 . Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans une région que nous ne connaissions pas , qui est riche en histoire et magnifique pour se promener . Monsieur Giacomo est de bons conseils pour les bonnes adresses tant pour les visites que pour les restaurants . Je conseils vivement cet location .
