Important to Know

After booking, guests are required to complete a simple rental agreement through Away by the Sea. The agreement outlines house rules, property details, and local requirements to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay.

House Rules

• Keep it cozy, not crazy! We ask that there be no parties or large gatherings to ensure a peaceful stay for everyone.

• Quiet time is 11pm to 9am — please help us keep things peaceful for our neighbors and fellow beach lovers!

• Please let us know right away if anything is amiss so we can get it handled for you quickly. Text is best!

• Furry friends are welcome once approved. But please keep pets off the furniture so we can maintain a fresh, clean space for all guests.

• Backyard etiquette: Kindly clean up after your pet so the outdoor space stays enjoyable for everyone.

• Towel Care: Please do not use the white bath towels, hand towels, or washcloths to remove makeup, self-tanner, hair dye, or clean up spills or messes. Black makeup towels are provided specifically for makeup removal. Damaged or permanently stained towels may result in replacement charges.

• Grill Use: You’re welcome to enjoy the grill during your stay! Please leave it in the same condition you found it—cleaned and brushed after use. A $25 cleaning fee may be applied if additional cleaning is required.

• Starter kit provided with essential items for your arrival.

• Minimum age is 25 years old to book at this property.

TRASH & RECYCLING

Before checkout, please take all trash and recycling to the curb according to the collection schedule and instructions posted on the refrigerator.

If trash and recycling are not placed at the curb as directed, a $50 fee will be charged to cover the additional trip required for disposal.

We came for a last minute get away and weren't disappointed. This is a very clean, well maintained home that is larger dog friendly, which is very hard to find. The property manager was extremely friendly and answered the few questions we had very quickly.

We had a great time! House is very, very clean which is super important to us. Beds were comfortable and hot showers with good water pressure and soft towels even better. We did have 6 adults and living room seating was tight but the additional back room with sofa and television was a nice treat for our Granddaughter. We will definitely return to this home on our next visit.

If you’re bringing your dog to Beaufort, this is the house for you! A gated front porch and a fenced back porch made it the perfect home for our golden retriever! The house is immaculate, the beds are comfy and the kitchen is well equipped. I highly recommend this house - it’s on a four lane portion of the street and we were worried about that initially but honestly it was no problem at all. Easy to get in and out of and quiet at night!

Last minute get away for a few days. Check in was super easy, Landie was great. Property was a very clean, cute, surprisingly large cottage. Amenities were plentiful. The main bedroom bed was so, so comfortable.

Blue Haven and this host are top notch! There were 5 people in our group, with everyone arriving separately. The minute each person walked in the door, their first words were, "Wow! This is beautiful!". It truly is - beautiful, clean, comfortable, and very well appointed. The extra touches like beautiful art work, extra throw pillows on beds and sofas, and ceiling fans in all the bedrooms made us feel like we were at home.It is a great location with easy access to the historic and waterfront areas. The host is very responsive to questions, and great at communicating all the information we needed for an easy, low-stress check-in, stay, and check-out! We highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again when we return to Beaufort. Overall, a fantastic experience that exceeded our expectations!

The house is wonderful and probably our favorite of all the vacation ones we have rented. It is beautifully decorated, simple and tasteful. The house is spotless. We are here with our adult son and daughter to attend a special event for a close family friend and your home has been perfect for the four of us to relax and share memories. We love the house. We did not use the kitchen so can’t speak of it. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to this area.

Perfect getaway with our pups

My husband and I along with our 2 small pups had the best long weekend in Beaufort! The house was so lovely and comfortable. Perfect backyard space for the dogs to play. Felt very safe and secure. The bed was so comfortable!! The best pillows I’ve ever slept on. The bath towels were also amazing. The attention to detail in this rental did not go unnoticed. The waterfront was close by and everything was very pet friendly. Highly recommended this rental!!!!!

We had a great stay. The space is very well done. We were all comfortable and the backyard is perfect for a dog. We spent a lot of time in the backyard. You are within a few blocks of a nice coffee shop. Also, a minute driver to Downtown. The owners and property manager were very responsive and friendly. The parking is a little snug with a big vehicle as we had 2 vehicles, one of them was a larger truck. The only thing that can be a little difficult is that the property is on a main street in Beaufort. It can make for getting in and out funky.Overall we would definitely stay again.

Wonderful vacation home centrally located!We stayed at Blue Haven with three kids and four adults and had a wonderful time. Plenty of space, walking distance to all major things in Beaufort, a great outdoor area to unwind, clean, and a well-equipped kitchen.We weren’t missing anything and communication with Landie was top notch. It was the first time for us in Beaufort and we will for sure be back to explore even more. We usually stay at vacation homes when we travel and sometimes come across kitchens where you need to bring even just the essentials. Blue Haven had all of that available and enough plates etc so that we didn’t have to dishes/run the dishwasher every single day. Definitely recommend this beautiful home away from home!

Beaufort Memorial Day Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming conveniently located home. Landie was excellent at communicating and made our experience seamless. Our family (and dogs) thoroughly enjoyed hanging out in the fenced in backyard and used the grill for holiday cookout. The home is beautifully decorated and comfortable with all the essentials you need to enjoy your stay. There was just enough room in the smaller driveway to fit our 4 cars (there were 6 of us total but we all came from different drives). It's about a 15-20 minute walk to downtown and a nice coffee shop is within easier walking distance. We hung out downtown for a bit, did a Sand Dollar Island ferry cruise out of Morehead City, went ebiking at Atlantic beach and enjoyed music one night at the new dueling piano bar in Morehead...very fun! Would highly recommend this adorable home if you're staying in the area!

I loved reading this—sounds like you made the most of your stay! I’m so glad the house worked well for your group (and the pups!) and that the backyard and grill came in handy for your holiday cookout. You packed in some great local adventures too—Sand Dollar Island, (one of my faves!!), e-biking, and even the piano bar! Very cool. We loved everything about this property! The host was very available, the home was welcoming, clean and conveniently located. And our beagle loved the fenced in yard! I’d recommend this Beaufort home to anyone!

Great location, very clean, very well cared for. Felt like being in a home away from home. Everything was 10 to 20 minutes away close to restaurants, shopping and other activities. I am super picky about things being clean and I felt very comfortable in this home
