Relax In The Mountains!

This 2 bedroom, 1 bath authentic log cabin sets on 8 very private acres. You will feel like you have been transformed to a cabin out West! It is the perfect setting to just relax or take advantage of the many local attractions. Enjoy your coffee or cocktails on the porch or cozy patio off of the upstairs loft. The cabin sleeps 5 comfortably and is equipped with most everything you would need for your stay. Hike the property or relax by the fire pit. Have a family game night with table checkers and board games that are provided. Some of the attractions this area has to offer are: snowmobile and hiking trails, fishing, bicycling, hunting, farmers markets, local dining, farm tours, antique shops, and wedding and event venues.
Cabin is close to Hobart book village, S.U.N.Y. Oneonta, S.U.N.Y. Delhi, S.U.N.Y. Cobleskill, Hartwick College, and Plattekill, Beleayre, Hunter and Windham ski centers. Also close to Cooperstown Dream Park(26 miles) and Oneonta All Star Village(24 miles). We host many baseball families who enjoy the break from the hustle and bustle of Cooperstown.

The cabin was perfect for the 4 of us. It had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, with way more than expected. Sitting on the front porch enjoying the beautiful property was one of our favorite activities. The check out process was awesome - they didn’t require us to do anything! We will definitely stay there again! Thank you!

It is the cutest! Super private property...house and yard clean and tidy. We imagined having this log cabin for ourselves... really easy as they had everything in the house - no need to bring your own towels or sheets - all there for you. Recommend for quiet time away.

This is one of the best places I've ever stayed. It was exactly what I wanted relaxation and the natural beauty of the forest all around. Everything was amazing, everyone was happy, and we all felt recharged by it. This is a solid 10 out of 10.

Great log cabin on a wooded lot.

Rustic, cozy, comfortable log cabin on a secluded lot. Cabin was well appointed and equipped. Had a great front porch that our group used and enjoyed daily. Matt was a wonderful accommodating host.

Cabin Homebase

Excellent cabin. It had everything we needed. And lots of space. It served as our homebase as we had a lot of traveling to do from going West to the Sterling Nature Center at Lake Ontario and the Renaissance Festival also in Sterling NY, and East to Brimfield, MA to the largest flea market in the country (so they say), North to Six Flags indoor Water park as well as going to the Secret caverns that actually has a waterfall in a cave that you are down about 100ft below the ground. We had a great time. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Perfect cabin experience

Wonderful location, peaceful and surrounded by nature. My children loved searching for frogs and salamanders. The cabin was well designed for a family and the front porch is the perfect place to have your morning coffee. The hosts were super attentive and helpful for the entire stay.

Great place away from it all

The cabin was perfect for my family. Very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The kids had a great time exploring and my husband and I enjoyed relaxing on the covered porch, especially during a rain storm. I would definitely suggest this cabin for anyone wanting to get away for a bit.

Great get away!

We stayed here during our Cooperstown baseball tournament. Great price and only about 35 mins from the fields. Very easy getting in and the host was very responsive! Highly recommended!

A Home away from home

My husband & I enjoyed our time so much at the cabin that we even asked if we could stay an extra night and they were very accommodating. The cabin is outfitted for everything you couple possibly hope to find on a cozy log cabin experience from extra blankets, board games, TV with Hallmark channel, books, and a very well equiped kitchen. We spent a lot of time on the porch enjoying the beauty of the location. The wifi is great but cell service was spotty, we didn't mind since we were wanting to get away from it all. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Exceeded expectations

First time using one of these rental sites and was blown away by how equipped the property was. Larger than expected as well, never heard a neighbor. All the amenities of a house.

Peaceful cabin getaway

We wanted a log cabin experience and that’s exactly what we got! The place is beautiful and and has a great layout. I enjoyed breakfast on the porch each morning before heading into Cooperstown for my sons tournament. The kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, laundry available, nice bathroom and pet friendly! Thank you!

RENTER BEWARE

The property itself is great, the issue with this listing is the owner. After charging a cleaning fee, he seemed to want us to leave the listing as we found it, so when we left some dishes and and a bit of cleaning in the kitchen, he proceeded to contact me on my personal line and Curse me and my girlfriend out, degrading us, our lifestyle, our animals, all in the meanwhile screaming and than proceeding to laugh at anything I had to say. Threatening to come after me but I live too far, and let's not forget how he said that his cabin looked like it got RAPED?!?!? Excuse me but tell that to a sexual assault survivor. Long story short it's too bad this good property has such a terribly unique owner. Wouldn't wish this after- experience on my worst enemy. He even proceeds to EXAGERATE damages such as saying his refrigerator was broken meanwhile what broke was the shelf that holds condiments on the door. RENTER BEWARE I now think he may be trying to get his cabin upgraded with FALSE CLAIMS. I've rented cabins for over 10 years with dogs and have always had an excellent time and even invited back. Listing should say Cabin should be left as it was found, and of course he than should not charge for cleaning.

We chose this cabin to purchase as an income property because it is within close proximity to our primary residence and is set on a private and beautiful piece of property. The cabin was hand built by a local craftsman and exhibits beautiful woodwork. We have made many upgrades to the cabin and property. Although we live less than 1/4 mile away, we have used the cabin as our own getaway and take great pride in its upkeep.
