Only item on the property that really needs reconsideration is the stairs to the second floor that has no railing. Negotiating that stairway with large suit cases for us old folks was a bit problematic.

Thank you for staying with us and sharing your feedback. I’m sorry the lack of a handrail made the stairs difficult for you to navigate. We take guest comfort and safety seriously and appreciate you bringing this concern to our attention. I was glad to be available to answer your questions before and during your visit, and thank you again for choosing our home.

Great house across the street from Shellcamp Lake. Plenty of space for a family of 5 (or more). Everything needed in the kitchen. Private dock on the lake with chairs and firepit. Kayaks also provided were great for our teens. Only downside was a lot of seaweed and lake grass along the shoreline. Typical of this lake I would assume. The association beach down the road was a lot cleaner and my 6 year old had a great swim this morning ahead of checkout.

We stayed at the house for a my daughter’s wedding that was close by. The house was clean, pet friendly and had plenty of things like bath towels, plates, cups. The host was very responsive and made sure the gas grill, ice cubes were in the freezer and coffee K-cups were ready for our stay. Beds were comfortable and plenty of A/C to keep us cool. Beach access was across the street w/ lit wooden stairs leading down. We did have an issue w/ the electricity on the second floor but, the host again was very responsive and helpful in resolving the issue quickly. Lastly, parking was a little tight and additional parking is directly in front of the stairs to the beach area across the street. A Silverado and Explorer take up all of the driveway. We enjoyed our stay and would rent it again for a family trip.
