Comfy stay at the beach

Nice, comfy, near the beach. Good amenities. Fully stocked. Grill. Wi-Fi. Washer/dryer. Excellent communication with owner. A very positive experience.

Cons:Would've given it 5 stars but you can hear the people walking back and forth upstairs sounding like elephants, at night when going to bed at 11pm and at 730am when you're trying to sleep in at least till 9am. I had to deal with this for 5 days. I made this known to the property manager a couple of days in a row but it didn't change anything, eventually I just stopped texting. Upon arrival the bathroom had a ghost smell of pee that remained even after spraying Lysol.My guest even pointed it out. Pros: Beach was less than a 3 minute walk, beach tags were provided, and porch had a nice set up.where you can sit outside and enjoy the breeze. parking wasn't too bad, but couldn't leave and return as easily to find parking.

Beach block apartment

Great location in the NE part of Ocean Grove. While parking is always an issue in Ocean Grove, we were lucky to find a spot around the corner on a very busy Saturday (Annual, giant flea market). Furniture in living room comfortable as well as the queen-size bed. Kitchen accessories somewhat limited, e.g., kitchen towels and utensils for cooking. Even though there’s a dishwasher, some of the eating utensils in the drawer were laden with dried up food particles! So, soaking and washing these utensils and a few plates was the first order of business after unpacking our stuff. I would have given 5 stars for cleanliness had it not been for the above referenced issues. The front porch is well equipped and spacious. Upstairs neighbors are friendly.

perfect beach get away!

location was excellent! on a beach block and so close to all the restaurants in Asbury. we have been coming to OG for 10 years and this is our new favorite place to stay. It was so clean, recently renovated and beautifully decorated.

Cute, clean, updated

Location and rental were great- everything worked and seemed new and updated. Beds were very comfortable. Porch was so cute ! Only beach items included were towels. Did not matter for us. One block to beach and close to boardwalk. We wanted to stay longer.

We have stayed many places both fall and summer. This had everything we needed for our weekend stay and more home- like than a hotel room - loved seeing the sun rise and know it was only a block to beach

Comfy cottage

The property mostly met our expectations, small but comfortable, close to the ocean, easy access. Lack of parking is a problem. The pictures of the living room in the listing made it look spacious and airy. The actual living room is dark and cramped. Not accurate at all.

Perfect place for 2 adults & pug

Property was neat & clean, exactly matched online pics, and was very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 pug dogs. We had no problem with electronic door lock or any appliances. We especially loved the spacious bedroom. The closeness to the beach & Asbury Park boardwalk made the stay terrific! It is only a 10 minute walk to the main town stores, as well. Only negative is we would have preferred shades in the living room as you can see in at night with only the lace curtains. We loved our first time in Ocean Grove & this place was perfect for us!

Pro’s -quaint neighborhood, less than one block from the beach (300 ft.) -cozy furnished front porch -nice apartment with living room, kitchen-dinette, bedroom-laundry room, and bathroom in 26 ft. shotgun style and 13 ft. wide -fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, electric stove-oven, small microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and full complement of utensils -TV in bedroom, as well as living room, with cable -queen size bed with bedding -bathroom exhaust fan Con’s -people can see through the curtains into the living room and kitchen at night with the lights on. -No shower mat to prevent falls on smooth surface -No bathroom towel racks (but 1 hook on wall and 4 hooks on back of door)

Beautiful cottage for 2

Our cottage is less than one block from the beach and broadwalk which we enjoyed every day. The cottage was clean and big enough for 2 of us and our dog. The neighborhood is beautiful and safe with plenty of parking in the street. The bed is comfortable but a little noisy. The kitchen has everything you need. Our stay here was great.

Excellent location and Just as described

This is a small place, but works perfectly for a family of 4. It's just as described, and the location can't be beat - just a short block to the beach. Asbury Park is easily walkable, either on the boardwalk or through the town. We had a small issue with the electronic door lock, but I reached out to the contact and she was very responsive and had it fixed within a few hours. It was great that we could have our dog with us as well, and there were lots of places to walk him since he wasn't allowed on the beach or the boardwalk. The only small issue is that there is definitely a faint smell of cigarettes; the place is nonsmoking, but it's clear that someone was smoking in there at some point in the past. It's most noticeable on the mattress on one of the pull-out couches. Fortunately the breeze and the two air conditioners can quickly clear the smell out of apartment. We would definitely rent again!

SO CLOSE TO THE BEACH!!

Had a wonderful time! This spot is perfect for a small family or couple. The convenient location to everything was perfect! It was a short hop, skip and a jump to the beach...(literally 1/2 block) and where we were also able to stroll a lovely (and scenic) few blocks into town in OG for some Nagel’s ice cream.... then to Asbury for dinner at the many restaurants. I grew up coming down to Ocean Grove for vacation every summer and am happy that my husband and little girl now love it as much as I do.

Lovely spot! Exactly as advertised.

The location is great — a couple of minutes and you’re on the beach. And quick walk to th he main drag in ocean grove and Asbury. The accommodations live up to the description. Very well taken care of and well appointed. Perfect place for a couple or an individual and it’s so great that they take dogs And the host is very accommodating — I needed a couple of things for the kitchen and she provided them right away. I’ll come back!

The beach house was very clean and updated. Great location!

Overall the experience was very nice. Loved that it was dog friendly. Worked out well with our dogs. Had some trouble with the front door lock, but owner was great and help w/the problem. In the description says sleeps 4, but is hard with the location of bathroom being in the only bedroom. And if it sleeps 4, there should be 4 beach badges. Loved the supply of towels and sheets and coffee, tea and napkins etc. in kitchen. Parking is difficult but that goes with the type of area it is. Otherwise a pleasant experience. Would consider renting again.

Clean, lovely, everything you need

We had a wonderful stay in this rental. Everything we needed was clean and nice, and it was quiet and peaceful. The porch was wonderful to just sit and enjoy the ocean breezes. It was very convenient to the beach, and I highly recommend!!

Cute apartment & great location

The house is situated on a very nice street that is close to the beach, the town of Ocean Grove and Asbury Park. Parking is difficult on Saturday and Sunday but during the week there are plenty of places to park. The house is walking distance to everything and I didn't need to use my car very much. The house is very nice inside; just as described. My family and I had a great time!
