Christmas in destin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The family decided to go to destin this Christmas, we booked a beach front condo at sandpiper, the place was great, clean. And we were surprised by how many other families did the same thing, the weather, you couldn't have asked for any better that late into December, the kids spent a ton of time skim boarding.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Have been staying many many times at Sandpiper Cove HOWEVER this HAS to be the WORST. NO HOT water for 3 days our ENTIRE stay. Called and left several messages with maintenance and main office and No one replied. Do better Sandpiper this was sad and uncalled for!🥲

Overall Great Experience

The place was beautiful and very clean. Our pet loved the private sandy backyard. The private beach bar was a nice touch, although very overpriced. The only downside was their water heater being old. We did not have running hot water, so we took cold showers. Other than that, it was a success.

issues with this unit.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: front door around the doorknob and keypad is filthy. Smoke detector in the hallway was hanging from the ceiling by the wires. Doorknob going into the master bathroom was very loose. The floor between the stove and island area is buckling. You can feel it giving way under your feet when you walk over it, very dangerous! More than likely there is some rotten areas under the floor. Dishwasher would not stay on. Paint above the sliding glass door is bubbling up More than likely water damage. Couch in the living area needs to clean. There is a lot of surface dirt and spills on it.I overpaid for what I got. This is the third year in a row I have stayed at Sand piper cove and this unit is by far the worst unit I have stayed in.

The condo is super-clean, which is very important to me. When I come to Destin and Sandpiper Cove, all my stress disappears! We have stayed at Sandpiper Cove for several years and in this particular unit multiple times. We will be back!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Check in/out super easy. Employees at Sandpiper were extremely nice and helpful. The walk to the beach was easy and convenient. There was obvious work that was just completed on other units and there was construction debris in the sand, found only 1 large nail and 1 piece of glass. Inside 1150, there is a soft spot on the floor by the stove and the fridge.

Bad experience, poor cleanliness and bad communication

We checked in when there was a winter freeze and Christmas eve.The property manager told us that some lines maybe frozen and they couldn't do anything about it until 3 days after Christmas. The cleanliness level was poor of the property as well. We lost water in a day and they were able to move us to a different unit, but same cleanliness level. We checked out earlier and had to argue regarding the bad experience. The views were the only thing that was good. Not worth the money they are charging, and management needs to learn how to handle customers better.

Large deck and easy access to beach. Also the AC is amazing, considering how hot it was outside! Kitchen area was perfect for cooking and plenty of seating area. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Not for the beach

Everything was fine except the beach. Even though it is private beach the management does not manage the beach side because the condo is owned by individual owner. It was much better to stay at Hilton resort in the same area. The only reason we stayed at the condo was because of the pet.
