The inside needs a little love

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Of course the location is fantastic, just a short walk to the shore. The owners should really provide at least “a roll” of paper towels. I found myself in need of wiping up something from the floor trying to protect THEIR floors and carpets but had to use my washcloth. And perhaps the basic salt/pepper would be nice. Toilet paper falls apart when used ... your guests deserve an upgrade. These are the “little things” that cheapen the feel of an otherwise nice place. Air conditioner vent in master bedroom is not as noisy as it used to be but still could use some work.

Easy access to beach

Check-in and check out at SandPiper was flawless. The condo is spacious with large deck with views of the beach and ocean. Kitchen has large island.Condo sleeps 4. The bathroom was clean. Giving this condo 4 stars because the shower and bathroom sink is too small for the unit.

Nice getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We agree with other reviews saying the AC fan was insanely loud and rarely shut, even though we had it set at 75. It wouldn’t take much effort to clean the shower mildew and there was a water leak in ceiling over the shower. Other than that, the unit was well updated and maintained. Kitchen was well stocked, balcony furniture was comfortable, and living area was pleasant.

Reviewer Comments: There are a few items the owner needs to take care of: The bedroom and bathroom doors stick to the floor, they need to be repaired. The closet door is difficult to close. It needs to be repaired. The chair, sofa, and rugs all need to be cleaned. That may be why the place smells musty. The comforter on the bed also needs to be cleaned. Thankfully, we brought our own blankets. Other than that, the place is fine. Good location and we felt safe.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time at sandpiper and we loved it so much. While the unit we stayed at 2117 had its flaw’s we still genuinely loved sandpiper overall and will be back but maybe just will try a different unit. First night we had a few issues but were quickly resolved with the help of a lovely lady at the front desk check in. This units shower is comically small considering how large the bathroom is. Reminds me of a camper size shower. With that being said the carpets/rugs and couches were all in desperate need of updating/replacing. Not enough to steer us away from never coming back but definitely will try a different unit. Can’t wait to return!!

Mind Blown

The unit could not have been cleaner. 2 things: Needs a rug or foot mat as you enter for times when your feet are wet from rain or perhaps you didn’t get all the sand off. Otherwise you track up the floors with your first step inside. Please provide more than 1 roll of toilet paper. And we had NO paper towels.

Great location to relax!

We spent our anniversary in Destin and this location was perfect! Easy walk to the beach, good views, easy check-in/out process, close to all the popular spots (East Jetty/O’Steen Beach access being our go-to). The foundation does need to be looked at because the doors were a little hard to open in the bedroom and bathroom, but that is a minor thing. We truly enjoyed our stay and we hope we can bring our kids here next summer!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a GREAT stay. Very nice condo. PROS:: very well decorated, plenty of dishes, glasses, tableware, etc. VERY. Clean,. perfect location to the beach.loved sitting on the balcony, drinking our coffee and watching the gulf waves. CONS: this condo does NOT offer beach chairs or umbrella and the cost was $35/half day and $48/full day rental for 2 beach chairs and umbrella. This is the thirds time I have rented at Sandpipr and the first time I have had to pay those fees. Very disappointing after spending so much in rental fees. Also, the sleeper sofa was AWFUL - because it was so uncomfortable, it was basically unusable. It desperately needs a mattress topper or something. Two people ended up sharing the king bed but that was NOT the plan. I will rent from Sandpipere again, but NOT this condo.

Relaxing

Could use more pots/pans, blankets and extra set of towels. Also, would be nice to have at least salt & pepper. Location and balcony was perfect. I understand you just have to bring towels across the street to house keeping to get another set, just kept forgetting. Overall would stay again if I could be in the same location on property. Staff awesome.

Hard to walk in the deep sand to get to the wood walkovers.needs to be more wood walkways to units.Beach was perfect and condo was good. Mattress needs replaced and stairs need more lights for sure! It's hard for seniors to hold phone light and hold onto rails, carrying things.Would not hesitate to rent again!

Amazing

Super last minute trip. Found this gem on VRBO and booked it! Very affordable, the property was secure and very private, the condo was decorated very nice, and super comfy. I love how it’s right there close to everything. Beach side was a bonus - you can’t beat the views. 10/10 in my book! I will be back 🤩

Reviewer Comments: The condo was very cozy and we enjoyed our stay.The only issue we had was we wanted to come in a day early and the phones at Sandpiper wasnt working and we couldnt reach anyone. I felt the website or facebook page should have offered an additional contact number as the condo was available. Also the cleaning crew had left the ventfan heater on in the condo and the unit was about 76 degree when we entered the unit. the vent fan heater should be marked so as to not be left on.
