This was our first time coming out to the Hamptons. This house was perfect! First of all Denise and Terry were wonderful hosts. Denise was very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process, from booking the home, to providing us with a new blender and cooler while we were there. The house is equipped with all the essentials plus more. There was plenty of room for the family to relax, we loved the decor and felt right at home. Denise has decorated the place beautifully, including top of the line linens, plenty of towels, comfy pillows, and kitchenware for every need. The cabinets are stocked with plenty of pots/pans, dishes, glasses, serving bowls, spices, and much more.
Our family really enjoyed the pool and the lush backyard. It was a great place to enjoy our vacation, our kids preferred the backyard over the beach! We loved turning on some music, bringing out drinks and snacks, relaxing on the lounge chairs, and cooking up food on the nice grill. Oh, and the kids got a lot of use out of the well stocked pool noodle basket!
The location was great. The bay is an easy stroll just a block away. We enjoyed spending time there and meeting some local families. The Ponquogue Beach is 1.5 miles away. We made use of the beach towels and beach chairs, which were so nice to have. There are many restaurants close by, as well as grocery stores, and anything you would need. We could walk down the street to a nice cafe, The Green Door, they have great sandwiches! Rumba and Cowfish were a quick drive and our favorite dining places. Just over the Ponquogue bridge are a few seafood restaurants and charters available for fishing. We took a quick drive over to Southampton but honestly didn't explore much of Long Island because we loved staying around this lovely home. It truly felt like a "home away from home" for us. We hope to have a chance to come back and visit again.
