Location, location, location! It seems most of our guests seem to really value this aspect. Half way between South Beach and downtown Edgartown, it is a short bike ride or a just a few minutes by car. Surprising for the proximity, the street and back yard are very quiet and tranquil. We pride ourselves on truth in advertising and what you see is what you get!

Fabulous Location and Lovely Owner

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at this Katama property. The location, an easy bike from beach or town, is perfect for a family on the go and Chris was incredibly helpful both before and during our stay. The house was clean and comfortable and well-equipped. I would absolutely recommend this property to others!

Thank you for such a positive review. We enjoyed hosting Susannah and her family and hope they make it back next summer. Our home is not a sparse rental-only type place. It is equipped for our guests the same as it is for when we are there. We try to make our guests feel comfortable and allow them to decompress and relax on summer vacation.

Best week!

This house was absolutely perfect! Location, and property were terrific! Right off the bike path and close to the beach and so peaceful! The flowers and birds make this house so charming as well. Everything we needed was right at the house to make our family vacation a great one. Chris, the owner is terrific as well! We will definitely be back again next year!

Katama Gem! LOCATION MAKES THE VACATION!

Location makes the vacation! And this is one of the best locations Katama has to offer. Minutes from the Katama Kitchen restaurant (yum!) at the airfield, just a short bit to beloved South Beach and Katama General Store and all while the perfect distance to downtown Edgartown - very close but not too close! GREAT FOR FAMILIES!!! I could stop here, as again location makes the vacation. Park the car and walk/bike every day. But I’ll also add..:the house is very clean. Ample space. With a large backyard perfect for kiddos. The house is well-stocked with all you’ll need, including plush towels, fantastic mattresses and (I can’t believe I’m mentioning this but it’s true) impressive water pressure - both inside and the glorious outdoor shower! Owner Chris is great! This was our fourth summer on the island, and we’ve finally found our favorite spot! Have I mentioned location??? We look forward to returning to this special house in our favorite part of the island next summer!

Thanks Julie! We enjoyed having you and your family as our guests this summer. It really is a great location - close enough yet seemingly tucked away. I think the back yard and gardens give it that sanctuary feeling. We hope we'll see you next year!

Great location, beautiful property.

This property exceeded our expectations. The location is a quick walk to the bike path and an easy bike ride to town and to South Beach. The home was clean and had everything we needed for our 2-week stay including paper goods, towels, beach towels, extra linens. The mattresses were very comfortable which has not always been the case with rentals. It was evident from the minute we walked in that the home is well cared for. One of the best parts was the beautiful landscaping and the large backyard which we spent many post-beach afternoons playing wiffleball, yard games, and just enjoying the outdoors and birds. The owner was very accessible and responded quickly in answering any questions we had. Overall a great vacation!!

Love this property!

What a wonderful home! We had such a great vacation at this property. The house is immaculate. The yard is so relaxing. Beautiful landscaping and the birds it attracts are so fun to watch! The street is very quiet. We would definitely stay at this home again. LOVED it!

Home away from Home

This lovely home was in the perfect location, close to the beach, Edgartown and the bike trail. The backyard patio and gardens provided the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the many visitors (birds, bunnies) that visited throughout the day! It had all the amenities you'd desire in a rental, and the owner was helpful and accessible throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here when we return to the Vineyard again!

We love to see reviews like this, where our guests see the best aspects of our home just as we do. The back yard patio and surrounding garden is the perfect spot for any meal of the day, or just to sit back, relax, and enjoy the "Katama breezes". We hope to see you again!

Pristine and cheerful home in a perfect location

My husband, two children, and I had a wonderful stay at this property. It was a pleasure to be in a house that felt like “home” and not like a rental. The house is immaculate and cheerful and had everything we needed. We especially loved the home’s lovely and serene backyard and gardens. What a perfect place to sit and have morning coffee! We also enjoyed a number of dinners on the back patio, and used the grill to cook fish and steak and vegetables from some of our favorite markets in the area. We have spent many summers on the Vineyard, and, to us, the location of this home could not have been better for all we wanted to do during our stay. It is a quick drive or easy bike ride from this house to South Beach or to the town of Edgartown, and our teenage children loved the freedom that this allowed them. All four of us took several wonderful bike rides during our stay, and we enjoyed the fact that the property has such easy access to bike paths. The owner of the house was very helpful and easy to work with. He always responded to us quickly and answered every question. We had a terrific vacation, and we would most certainly return to this house whenever we are next on the Vineyard!

Lovely experience renting here.

Enjoyed our stay at this lovely home and it is in a great location. It has a beautiful large back yard with a new outdoor shower. Everything was very clean and well maintained and the kitchen was well stocked with all you need for cooking. The best part was the landlord ..... great to work with. It was so nice to rent from someone who cares about keeping their home well maintained and wants his renters to have a good experience there. I hope to be back there next year.

Thank you for your kind words. We think our backyard is a little sanctuary and the outdoor shower is a great way to wind down after a day out and about on the Vineyard. We hope you'll come back and stay with us next year.
