Windy Cove Islamorada

Great location and very clean. Some minor little things like light bulbs out and bath fan not working. The only issue was that the air conditioning was limited to 72 degrees or it would freeze up.

Loved the condo!

Well maintained, gorgeous setting, spacious rooms and well priced. We totally enjoyed our stay in the Keys, mostly because of the gorgeous view from the living room. I would suggest replacing decking material to secure it, but other than that, we were very pleased with our choice!!!

The location, grounds and scenery were great, but the carpet is far beyond needing to be replaced.

Winter escape

The location was beautiful! The neighbors were friendly. I'm sorry to say the condo is in need of work. We also had no TV while we were there. We found dirty dishes in the cupboards and the upstairs patio doors didn't work properly. The handle on the shower door was not attached. The toilet lid was cracked. The carpeting was beyond its lifetime. Location was ideally located

Quiet but lots of stairs

We liked the fact that this property was off the main road and had only five units. There was empty fields on both sides which made it private and quiet. However, if you have a problem with steps you might want to go elsewhere. You park underneath the building so you have steps up to the main level. Your entrance and laundry are here along with a nice covered deck with table and chairs. You enter and have stairs to the first level with two bedrooms and bath. More stairs to the second level with kitchen and living area. There are another set of stairs to the third level with master bed and bath. The kitchen was well stocked and TV and internet worked well. It was very clean except for the stair carpeting and couch which need to be replaced. There are decks off of the master bedroom in the back and one off the living area overlooking the water. There was no beach but the dock would be nice if you had fishing in mind. Coming in on a Saturday, the traffic was horrendous so allow extra time.

BEST location!

We are a family of 5. (kids-22,20,16) This is by far the BEST location in Islamorada! You are in the middle of all the bars/restaurants, boat/ jet ski rentals, sand bars, and snorkeling spots. Theatre of the Sea and Abels Bait and Tackle is a short walk. 10 am on Saturdays Abels has a fishing lesson too! If you have young kids and you are looking for a walk-in sandy beach, this isn't the place for you. If you want a million dollar view with a beautiful sunrise and a great pool, this is your spot. Having the laundry room right next door was a HUGE plus! This condo definitely needs some work. A fresh coat of paint and some wall patches can go a long way. The mattresses were not good, I'm assuming they are the original mattresses from when the condo was purchased. There was shower handle that was broken and the blinds in the master didn't work. The cable TV didn't work. I emailed the rental people on day 1 about the cable not working. Not sure if this was the rental company we dealt with or the owner's fault, but we stayed 9 days and they never got it figured out. As far as check in and check out goes, it was very fast and easy. With some new mattresses, carpet and some paint I would give this place 5 stars all day long. My family and I all agree we would stay here again because of the view, location and pool! We had fun catching fish off the dock too. **NOTE** Before you plan on buying floaties, laundry detergent or a fishing pole, check the laundry room. Past guests, like us, have left some of those items for people to use.

It’s all about the view

The property and location are great! The cleanliness of the home was awful! The carpets are dirty and the couch and chair are dirty! We made due and covered them with sheets so we could sit on them! The view and the privacy are lovely Only bad thing is kitchen is on the 3rd floor so carrying cases of water up was a chore! We had a fantastic time despite the condition of the home! And we would definitely stay there again
