Great Family home

We had a great time, there is plenty of room, the cabinets were stocked with all the paper products, towels, soap, shampoo… everything you need. We loved it! The lake is clean, the kids enjoyed swimming and fishing.

Fun lake week

Enjoyed the sandy beach, kayaks, swim raft, paddle board,pedal boat and fire pit. Appreciated the large deck with 4 tables, ample paper products and calm, quiet lake close to Traverse City.

Beautiful vacation home

Location is amazing, great for a big family get away, lots of space, very clean and organized. Worth every penny. My whole family had a wonderful time and would book this location again and again.

One of the best place Ii rented north Michigan

The 5 days we spent in this house were a blast! we built memory, and we will look to rent that place again for sure. The lake is gorgeous, and the house offer lot of opportunities. You can book the place with no hesitations!

Amazing stay!

Very clean house with everything you could ever need. Beach was great for the kids. We caught a lot of fish from the lake. Pizza place was the best but kids like it. Close to grocery store and the city. Would stay again!

Beautiful location, the lodge is nice and kept up.

I would recommend this place to everyone, we had a great time! The lodge is kept up well, plenty of appliances and dishes. The basement is a perfect place to hang out and play games. Diana was very helpful and polite. Great spot for a family vacation.

Awesome House and Location

House was clean, owner is very nice! Location is perfect. Like 15 mins from downtown traverse city. There’s a great restaurant within walking distance of the house (peegios). House actually looks nicer in person than it does in the photos. Listing could use some updated pic’s because they really don’t do it justice.

Great weekend getaway

Our family spent a long weekend at High Lake Lodge. It was our third time visiting, first time in the fall. The house was very clean and a perfect place for our large family to spread out. We took day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Grand Traverse Lighthouse. In the evenings we relaxed in the basement and made some good family memories. Thank you Diana!

Fantastic Family Vacation!

We had 6 adults and 7 kids all together for a family vacation. Plenty of room and a great location on a small lake. We rented a water trampoline for the week, and it was a huge success! We spent every afternoon and evening playing in the lake/on the beach, playing board games and making smores around the campfire. Memories made for sure!!

Great place

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend. Had a group of 14 in town for the marathon. Couldn't have been happier with the house. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep. Private lake. Again, the pics do not do the house justice. We would def stay again if ever in the Traverse City area. Thanks Diana.

Relaxation for Frontline workers

Great place!

Five friends and I stayed here in late August, 2013. Everyone was very impressed with the house. High Lake is a quiet, peaceful place to relax, and with two docks plus boats to enjoy there's plenty to do by the water. The layout of the house is ideal for multiple families and when it's time to go inside the basement is set up perfectly to entertain a group. There's also a large deck with plenty of seating and a very nice grill. Nearby we found a great pub and a park with trails. Downtown Traverse City isn't too far off. I highly recommend High Lake Lodge and hope to return next year.

Perfect relaxing vacation for our family

Our family spent 10 days at the High Lake Lodge and had a great time. The house was perfect for our family of 8 - everyone was able to spread out in their own space. The house is nicely decorated with very modern applicances. We enjoyed using the grill and kitchen to cook many of our meals. There was a nice grocery store just a few minutes away. From the teenagers on down to the baby, there was something for everyone to do - kayaking, fishing, playing in the sand, swimming, sitting around the fire in the evenings. High Lake was the perfect size for the older kids to kayak and swim around. We are thankful for the wonderful memories we made and hope to come back again next year!

Nice size cottage!

I think the best thing about this cottage is the size. During the week we stayed here we had 6-10 people. There are only two bedrooms as the third bedroom (lower level) is a whole living area. I would call the upstairs two separate apartments As you walk in the front door you go either right or left with a stairwell in the middle to go downstairs. Each side has its own large kitchen with new appliances and much storage space, a bedroom, full bath and living area. They can be closed off or the doors left open, as we did, with our families walking around freely to mingle. We had pre-teens, teens, parents and grandparents. Also loved the sandy beach with lots of chairs. We played volleyball, paddleball, used the fire pit for s’mores, kayaked, as well as using the peddle boat and paddle board a lot. There are 3 large tables downstairs with many chairs which we used for meals and games. The pool table was favorite for both the kids and adults. I do think it would help if the pictures on VRBO were updated. We had a wonderful week!

Feels Like Home

We came with 5 adults and 5 children. This house is stocked with EVERYTHING you need. Ziplocs, paper plates, laundry soap, soap in bathrooms, plenty of towels, pots and pans of all sorts, and some, etc,. These amenities made our stay much more relaxing and homelike. No need to run out for simple day to day necessities. Very clean inside and the decor is warm and inviting. The setup is unique almost like having 3 apartments attached. This house is nestled between trees on a sandy beach. perfect for families with small children. Our kids stayed in the water as long as the weather permitted. The only concern I had, our neighbor's children had caught swimmer's itch during our stay. We were extra cautious with showers and preventing with tons of sunscreen and our kids were fine. There are many birds in the area which are beautiful to listen to and watch, but they do bring along the swimmer's itch. Also, although we did have a sandy beach area and quite clean water, on both sides of our beach it was a little mucky. Despite these issues, we still enjoyed the quietness of the small private lake. Our kids loved jumping off the floating diving board. We had bonfires nightly on the beach, made s'mores, listened to music. We tried to rent a boat for tubing but most places said they would not deliver here because of the steep launch. Lastly, Diana, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful. The house was very comfortable for all us, we had an amazing time, thank you!

We enjoyed this lake house!

We enjoyed our stay here! Not far from town at all! We did wish there were more actual beds due to 4 adults having to sleeping on the full in the basement and a pull out couch! Those weren’t very comfortable so they slept on air mattresses by the end of the week! The other 2 queens were comfortable. It was nice to have 3 kitchens and be able to split the families up! Also nice have an area in the basement for the kids! Beautiful view and the kids really enjoyed fishing and swimming!

Great family getaway

Our family of 16 (8 adults, 8 kids) had a nice long weekend fishing, swimming, and playing inside and out. The place is much nicer than the pictures suggest.Thanks for offering up your place for us to stay.

Had a great time in TC at this property! Ended up staying in a bit more than expected, but that was totally fine due to the coziness of the cabin
