Overall, I would give the property a 7 out of 10. The house itself was nice, spacious, and had some great features, but several basic things made it feel less than the price suggested. What would have made the stay better:- Downstairs bedroom: Ideal for someone who cannot navigate stairs, but it had a full-size cot with little cushioning. Very makeshift. My relative was so sore, that I reimbursed them. A real bed and better decor is required.- Towels/washcloths: Faded, mismatched, thin, worn, and not enough for everyone. I purchased my own.- Paper products: Toilet paper and paper towels were extremely thin and low quality.- Trash cans: Grocery bags were used as liners—not what I expected at this price point.- Kitchen utensils: Need standard-size silverware.- Sleeping arrangements: Bed sizes should be clearly listed. Some couples sleep in twin beds.- Fees: A mandatory insurance charge appeared later in the payment process, after I had calculated everyone’s portion, so I absorbed the added cost.- Privacy/location: The house is right off the road, and the walls are very thin. It appeared the owner or property keeper lives next door or may have been staying in the attached propery space.- Attached unit: This may be rented separately. Considering thin walls, privacy could be a concern with shared outdoor deck, grill, and yard.- Outdoor space: Big yard and deck, but no parties allowed. These simple fixes would greatly improve the perceived value of the stay.
