First, a genuine apology: the cleanliness issue is completely on us. Arriving to find used towels and tennis shoes left behind by someone is certainly unacceptable, full stop. We have zero tolerance for that standard of turnover and we quickly addressed it directly with our cleaning team. On the garbage can — you're right, and we're sorry. The sensor battery had died, so what should have been a handy touchless bin was just a broken-looking can. Simple fix, entirely our oversight. We hear you on the microfiber towels. We invested in them believing they were a premium recommended choice, but your feedback — and frankly the feedback of a few other guests — tells us they don't feel that way in practice. We're replacing them with traditional terry cloth beach towels and appreciate you saying something. The couch you experienced was a futon we had in place to offer sleeping flexibility for families with a child. We've since replaced it with a full rattan furniture set, and we think you'd find it a meaningful upgrade. Regarding the gym — again we are truly sorry for the confusion and frustration there. The building's gym was relocated and under renovation just before your visit, something we could not have anticipated but should have communicated clearly in advance. We did arrange complimentary passes to the gym just around the corner and hope that helped at least in part, but we understand it wasn't the experience you expected. As for the noise — San Pancho is a beloved, lively Mexican beach village, and on celebratory weekends the town comes alive. That's part of its magic for many guests, though we completely understand it isn't for everyone, especially if you came seeking quiet. Sitting on the 5th floor usually provides good insulation from street-level sound, but you happened to arrive during a particularly festive weekend. We'll look at how we can better set expectations in the listing so future guests can plan accordingly. Again, we're sorry your stay fell short. You deserved better on several counts, and we've taken every point seriously. We hope you might give San Pancho — and us — another chance someday.
