We booked the apartment the weekend of April 16th. The location of the property is ideal for a walk to the beach, Bishop's Palace and other attractions. We are Catholic and there is a church that is a very short walk from the apartment.
The good:
The unit is very roomy. Both bedrooms are attached to a bathroom. There are two common living rooms. The apartment is very comfortable. My son immediately stated that he would like to come back again, possibly for a full week. There is a door, accessed through the primary bedroom, that to the laundry room and further to a set of back stairs that lead to the back courtyard. It is a great space for a cookout. We did not have a grill, but I could see using that space to grill burgers and/or hotdogs.
There are many of needed supplies, such as hand soap, paper plates, plastic eating utensils, cleaning products like dish soap, pots & pans, seasonings, etc... the list just goes on and on. We did not get a chance to use it, but there is a shower outside and would be very handy for rinsing off prior to going into the unit. I would not want to walk barefoot on sandy carpet. They offer WIFI and the rate is much better than many hotels charge for a fraction of the space.
It was raining on and off while we were there and it was very nice to be able to cook in the unit instead of having to go out.
The icing on the cake was the flexibility of the owners and the pleasant surprise left for us with a kind note on the table. That alone is a reason to return.
The opportunity:
The furniture and appliances are very dated and there is only one TV and it is fairly small. The floor is carpeted throughout with the exception of the bathroom and kitchen. There is not a grill that we saw onsite, it would be a nice addition.
Parking is on the street in front of the unit and is very easy access. If you are ok without having the most updated amenities and furniture, this place is a gem for a friends or family get away to the island.
