Our 3-bedroom, 2-bath vintage cottage is the perfect place to relax and unwind in the heart of the redwoods. Just two blocks from the Russian River, it’s ideal for a weekend getaway or a longer stay.

The house is cozy, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything you need—whether you're cooking a meal, enjoying a lazy morning with coffee on the deck, or heading out to explore. You're only 5 miles from Sonoma Zipline Adventures, and close to great hiking, wineries, and charming towns like Guerneville and Occidental.

It’s peaceful, surrounded by nature, and a great home base for whatever kind of trip you're planning—whether that's adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both.

Adorable house with multiple areas for families to spread out. It was a lovely stay. You will have to drive about 5-7 minutes to monte rio beach. Walking is a steep climb.

The level of detail and care with each area of the "vintage cottage" home was quite a treat. ( including a Keurig downstairs by the bedrooms if one is a coffee drinker and doesn't want to walk upstairs in the morning.)You can tell there is a lot of love put into this home.There are many lovely nooks and areas for everyone to find a special place. The stand out room was the enclosed area in the trees. It really makes you feel like you are in the forest. (the first several pictures on the VRBO site)Some things to consider:-The stairs from the main level to the bedrooms are steep with shallow stair treads. They do have a sign stating to hold the rail however I can see it being tricky even for some able-bodied people. -The road to the home is narrow, especially depending on where cars are parked, There are only a few areas where 2 cars can carefully pass each other, which means one car will reverse down part of the hill in order for each to get by. Thankfully the road is not busy, everyone was neighborly and courteous, so it all worked out fine. If that makes you nervous perhaps avoid times when people are going to and from work and school.-The downstairs shower is nicely done and has wonderful water pressure.Enjoy.

We really enjoyed our stay and appreciate a clean, pet-friendly rental near the river. Clearly, the owners put a TON of thought into the details. Being up in the treetops is fun because it feels like you are in a treehouse. The kitchen is well stocked, and the coffee bar downstairs is super thoughtful. It was great to be able to make a cup of coffee first thing in the morning without having to take on the staircase before being fully awake. We also used the grill on the deck, which was great. The loft area would be great for kids old enough not to worry about falling. We didn't use it because none of us wanted to climb the ladder. This is a place we would definitely love to stay at again!

Whether you're here to explore the redwoods, paddle down the river, visit nearby wineries, or simply relax on the deck, we hope you feel right at home.

We chose this neighborhood because it’s the perfect mix of peace, nature, and convenience. Tucked away among the redwoods, it feels quiet and secluded, but it’s just a short walk to the Russian River and close to great little towns. We love how relaxing it is here, you can spend the morning kayaking or hiking, then grab a coffee or enjoy wine tasting in the afternoon. The neighborhood has a welcoming, laid back vibe that makes it easy to slow down and really enjoy your time.

What makes our cottage unique is the cozy, vintage charm combined with thoughtful touches that make it feel like a true home away from home. One of our favorite features is the beautiful sunroom, where you can enjoy morning coffee or unwind with a book while soaking in the natural light and views of the redwoods. The house comfortably sleeps up to 8 people, making it great for families or groups wanting to spend time together. You get that peaceful, tucked-away feeling, yet you’re only a couple of blocks from the river and close to all the fun activities, wineries, and restaurants the area offers. We’ve worked to create a space that’s welcoming, comfortable, and full of heart.
