Lovely cottage

Cottage was very well located, with a fantastic waterfront outlook. The external frontage of the property looked liked it had recently been done and was better than indicated in the photos.It looks like the perfect seaside residence and the external decor is very much in keeping with the age of the property.It is very spacious and there is plenty of local info provided. The owner was very easy to contact, though contact was rarely required.

Location for the win!!

The location of this property could not be any better! We basically had our own personal reef with excellent snorkeling right behind the house. The screened in porch/eating area was lovely and the back deck was awesome. The lounge chairs were really great for sitting out on the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maria's home. Thank you Maria!

Trip of a lifetime!

Maria is the best host we have ever had at a rental! Her home is beautiful and in the most magical location. Gorgeous views from all rooms and a huge deck overlooking your own private beach. She welcomed us with a personal visit and showed us all around the property and even had a delicious gift waiting for us. Literally hundreds of conch shells within a short walk and other tiny shells with beautiful sea glass to collect. Tide pools with hermit crabs, sea anemone, sea urchin, and tiny fish are next to a sandy entry into the beautiful water. We snorkeled right out front and saw puffer fish, lobster, lion fish, and hundreds of brightly colored fish. Maria has some water shoes there which I definitely recommend and we used fins as well. There is a bit of a current so we used pool noodles that were provided for safety while snorkeling and a few days it was too windy to go out on the north side to snorkel so we just drove to cemetery beach on SMB to snorkel there in the calm waters. The wind kicked up some trash on the beach which we quickly scooped up into bags so it was not a big issue. The house is accurately represented in the pictures and is very well stocked. The grocery store within walking distance was small and expensive but definitely convenient! We had some potential flight issues coming home and Maria was so helpful and generous with her time and home. Very private, great location (need a rental car), and we will definitely be back! Grand Cayman Part 1

Titled Grand Cayman Part 1 because we will definitely be back for Part 2! Our much anticipated trip was cut short by Hurricane Beryl. After landing and getting our vehicle we headed to the Sea Loft hosted by Maria. As we pulled into the driveway we fell in love with the property. We entered the home which was clean and very inviting. We grabbed our bags and got settled. Maria came by like she said she would to go over how things work in the house and to introduce herself. She was very warm, inviting and took great pride in her home & made us feel like family. She gave us excellent recommendations for food and places to see and left her number for anything had questions about. The first thing we did was grab our snorkel stuff and head out the back. Yes, it was really that simple we walked right out the back open air porch onto a beautiful deck, down the stairs and into the water. We weren’t far into the water before we were in the reef swimming with the fish... what a life. We relaxed in the deck, collected shells, watched beautiful sunsets and soaked in the sun. With Beryl approaching Maria called to check in, go over a plan on how to keep us safe & to bring over food, water & other supplies needed. Ultimately we got a flight to the states prior to Beryl’s impact. Maria’s communication was outstanding. She even text me to make sure we made it home safely. Even with our short stay we made memories & are so grateful for Maria’s warmth and hospitality. We will be back ❤️

Home away from home

Maria is awesome! House location cant be beat, roll out of bed and get your snorkel on! Quiet and peaceful, its in a great spot to see many attractions but be away from the commotion. We stayed 7 days and had dinner there about half the time. House is well stocked for just about any beach adventure you can think of. SOOO many shells to find. The screened porch and deck are great wish my house had them. Hopefully we can visit again someday. Cheers!

Awesome house, Awesome owner!

The villa is comfy. The view is fantastic. The owner/manager is outstanding. We have stayed in many Vrbo rentals. Maria was by far the greatest, most helpful manager/owner we have ever met. Regarding the villa--we had ample supply of towels and toiletries. The kitchen was great--plenty of pots and pans, (and we cooked a lot). One suggestion--a light over the stove would be helpful. Plenty of dishes, glasses,etc. Snorkeling off the beach in front of the house was easy. Enjoying a coffee or a drink on the porch or deck was relaxing and such fun. This is a taste of paradise.

Family Vacation

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. We enjoyed eating out on the screened in porch and sipping coffee on the deck every morning. Wonderful trip

This property was wonderful. There were 3 of us so we each had a bedroom. The location was off the beaten path, but that was our desire. It was quiet and we rarely saw others around our little bit of paradise.nThe house was great and had everything you would need and then some. The extras were super helpful, beach towels, water shoes, snorkel gear, etc. Pick this house and you will not go wrong. We will be back!

Laid back cottage overlooking a vibrant reef

Enjoyed our stay at Maria’s beach cottage. The house is situated in a quiet area on the beach. Highlights included beach combing, coffee in the morning under the shade of the palm trees, games in the evening in the screened porch and snorkeling along the coral reef directly in front of the house. We saw an abundance of sea life including tropical fish, lobster, squid and lots of coral. Maria provides snorkel gear and sea kayaks. If you are looking for something other to do than laze on the beach and snorkel then it’s a short, easy drive to other beaches, caves, hikes, restaurants and other attractions.

Awesome house

It was awesome to escape the hustle and bustle of the developed south part of the island. Car required, but absolutely worth it. Snorkeling in the morning, beach during the day, and drinks on the deck to watch sunset. Amazing! Highly recommend!

Amazing house in an amazing location

A wonderful house/location! House was clean, spacious, and layout was amazing with private wings for parents and kids. Views from every room were amazing. Screened-in patio and deck views were breathtaking. Loved the outside shower, area for lounging in shade, and the very quiet/efficient AC in the house. The snorkeling out from the house was great! Had a few calm days and a few more windy days when snorkeling wasn't as clear, but saw tons of different fish/critters. We took our own snorkeling gear and were glad we did. The kids loved the hermit crabs, other crabs, lizards, and snakes (only saw one) on the beach. Vicious mosquitos came out once the sun went down, so take repellent! The beach was very private. We never saw anyone else on the beach! (other than landscapers for next door one day) Had fun finding "treasures" - sea glass and shells, the occasional stranded sea creature, coral. Small grocery store literally a 2-3 minute walk from the house. So easy. We cooked a lot at the house and got most of our food from the bigger grocery stores downtown, but in a pinch the store by the house was great! And (currently) it's open on Sundays, when most grocery stores are closed. We had a bit of a misunderstanding with Maria regarding our day of arrival instructions. (Make sure you have the arrival e-mail with the house address BEFORE you attempt to go through customs, as they will not let you into the country without it!) All-in-all, an amazing vacation!

Winter Getaway

We enjoyed our quiet stay on the North side of the Island. Everything we needed was close by, but you needed a car. (We recommend renting a car from Cecil at JC car rental +1-345-326-3433). There is public transportation but we did not use it. Several beaches and restaurants were nearby. We stayed six weeks and the house comfortably accommodated all of our visitors. We enjoyed being right on the ocean and snorkeling was good. Maria was a good host.

Beautiful north shore home

We (family of 5) stayed 5 nights and loved this property! We arrived late at night, and Maria had sent us directions and the instructions needed for check in. We snorkeled and kayaked at the house every day! We also went to Rum Point and Starfish point and took a Stingray City trip with White Sands (amazing experience). Our favorite restaurants were Tukka and La Casita. The small grocery store 2 houses down was so convenient. The view and water is truly spectacular !

Beautiful property

Maria was so helpful and kind with all the arrangements and information about the area. The view, property and house are delightful. Couldn’t wish for better accommodations. You can snorkel in front of the property, a special bonus!

My husband and 1 with 3 small children moved to this island in March1978. We instantly recognized it was a heavenly place to live and raise our kids, and it has been a very gratifying experience over the years. We were welcomed with open arms and assisted in every way by the community. We had a wonderful life with the kids growing up in a safe and friendly environment, and meeting all the wonderful people who reside in the area.
Being a Real Estate Broker for 26 years I enjoy meeting people and sharing my knowledge of Cayman with my guests in every way I can to make their stay a fulfilling experience. Living only 5 minutes away from the property, makes it so convenient to always be available.

This property is a true Gem and a dream come true for me and the family. It was a property I admired every time I drove by for many years, knowing in my heart it was perfect in so many ways. WELL I wasted no time, I moved forward in acquiring the property in 2004 from a delightful elderly couple who shared their special love and life here in Cayman, she was an artist loved by all in North Side and Cayman Kai, and he an Engineer who actually built the home back in 1984, we became instant friends. It was a dream come true and a gift from Heaven. After many months of renovations and changes to the property, including planting the garden, I was totally pleased with the beauty that was created, and I wanted nothing more but to share this lovely property with friends, family and all the wonderful guests that I am so looking forward to meeting and having them share a home filled with love and all the necessities to make it truly a home away from home...

One of the many benefits of this home is that it is elevated 16ft above sea level, so the incredible views of the Ocean from every room allows one to have the peace of mind of privacy. Having only one neighbor, who visits occasionally , creates the freedom for one to enjoy their vacation to the fullest without disturbing anyone. Sitting on 185" of white sandy beach creates vast space for kids and family to find incredible treasure and lots of shells, to enjoy many of the relaxing areas this property provides , be it swinging in a hammock in the small garden with a good book, relaxing on the large deck with their favorite drink inhaling the beautiful scenery or relaxing on the beach catching the rays.
A Government designated Marine Park filled with exquisite coral and sea life is steps away, where one can enjoy the beautiful underwater sceneries without the disturbance of boats or jet skies. If weather permits enjoy a little exercise with the kayaks or one of the outdoor games provided .
The location of this property is also unique in that it is minutes away from Cayman Kai, Kaibo and Queens Highway so it gives one a great choice of restaurants, beaches and other activities in the general area.
Lastly having a Grocery that provides a great assortment of food and liquor within 2 minutes walking distance of the property is a great convenience.
