We couldn't have asked for more. Everything was just as described in the listing.
The condo. itself was very comfortable, spotless, and well-appointed. Everything worked as described, including the wireless internet. The owners kindly got us started with a few basics, like some good coffee beans, so our first morning including a nice cup of coffee even though we hadn't made it to the grocery store yet. Our kids slept on the sofa bed, which worked great.
The location was ideal, within walking distance to many great restaurants, bars, bakeries, and Powell's Books! We had great weather, so we enjoyed dinner on the sidewalk at the nearby Brix Tavern one night, and breakfast at the Lovejoy Bakery. There's even a little cafe at the street level of the condo building itself, which meant evening, spur-of-the-moment gelato that the kids loved.
There was a very cool independent video store a block or two away, Video Rama - you know it's for film buffs if it has a section organized by director. The nearby Tanner Springs Park and Jamison Square were also nice places to just sit, relax, and people watch. We had no problem finding free street parking on Overton St. The streetcar runs right by the other side of the building, so you can easily get across town for cheap.
We've usually used Hotwire or Priceline to find a hotel in Portland, usually on the other side of town. Staying in the Pearl District was a much better way to go, being closer to the best dining options, and with a quieter, more neighborly feel.
The owners were quick and easy to communicate with, and they provided a nice email guide to the condo. and the area that was very clear and helpful.
We would definitely stay here again.
