The historic brick streets and free-roaming chickens give it a quirky, old-world charm, while the Cuban, Spanish, and Italian heritage shines through in spots like the Columbia Restaurant, where I can grab an iconic Cuban sandwich or catch a flamenco show. I’m a big fan of strolling 7th Avenue for craft brews at places like BarrieHaus or hand-rolled cigars at J.C. Newman’s lounge—it’s got this perfect blend of laid-back and lively. The Saturday Market is great for local pastries and coffee, and I enjoy popping into Centro Ybor for unique shops. Plus, it’s so walkable, with the free TECO Streetcar to zip downtown for events or the Riverwalk for a chill evening.
