Wonderful Spring Break Accommodations

We enjoyed staying on Harbor Island for our 2023 Spring Break. This property was perfect and located on the beach. The screened-in front porch was an ideal place for meals and games. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. We would definitely rent it again!

Incredible view!

Enjoyed our stay at this lovely beach house! Great views of the ocean from each bedroom. Loved spending mornings and eating dinner on the screened porch. Very relaxing and easy access to and from the beach. Hope to be back next year!

Peaceful Getaway!

Our family had a fabulous stay at Toes in the Sand! While the weather wasn't great the entire week, we were still able to enjoy the sound of the ocean while playing games together as a family! We loved walking the island and seeing all the wildlife (birds, gators, turtles). If you are looking for a quiet retreat - this house is perfect! We hope to return again!

wow! so nice!

this was the 5th beach vacation for 3 (female 55) old school friends and this ranked as probably the best. house was on the beach even tho it is technically 2nd row back (there is no house in front of it) and had a nice little yard. perfect sunrise views and almost had the beach completely to ourselves (we were there memorial day weekend for the entire week after). the location was perfect to be away from it all but easily accessible to beaufort sc for dinners out. we’d definitely rent this house again

Upon arrival, we noticed that the home was very clean and lovely decorated. It was well supplied for our family of 5 and everyone had their own space. No one felt crowded. The screened in porch is where we spent most of our time when we were not on the beach. The photos do not do justice to this property. The ocean views were spectacular and the beach is never crowded. We have been to Harbor Island in the past, but we have now found our favorite spot.

Quiet, peaceful gem on the ocean

My friends and I stayed in this cute home to attend the Pledge The Pink Breast Cancer Walk! It did not disappoint! We loved walking the beach, sitting on the decks, walking in the neighborhood. We traveled to Savannah and Charleston on two of our days. The house was perfect-had everything we needed and more. Our only regret is that we spent to much time away from this perfect location!! We will book again and dedicate all of our time to the house, beach and ocean! Thank you!

The house location was absolute wonderful. The amenities were very nice.

The property has the ability to be a 5 out of 5. The showers were dark, the beach shower and hose could be updated, the air conditioning unit needed a drain unclogged and leak repaired, the back door was hard to close, the upstairs bedrooms were not as well maintained as the master bedroom. Honestly, just a number of little things like a loss toilet paper holder is keeping the extremely nice house from being a pristine house. But despite these minor issues, I would definitely recommend the house and stay again.

Perfect beach retreat

The home exceeded expectations for location, proximity to the beach, neighborhood amenities including the pool and food trucks daily, and house cleanliness. Very well appointed kitchen supplies in the house. AC worked great. Shower water pressure was amazing. Ocean was wonderful with small waves due to the location being in a sound. For larger waves to ride with a boogie board, we went to Hunting Island since it directly faces the Atlantic. We had 2x teenage boys that enjoyed both ocean experiences equally. Convenient location to Beaufort (Walmart and Publix) within 15-20 minute drive to pick up forgotten supplies. Management company was quick to respond to a slow shower drain repair and extra gate passes for guests.

Beautiful beach house!

We just got home from a wonderful vacation at Harbor Island! The house was the perfect location looking out over the ocean with beach access- we loved the screened in porch. The house itself could definitely use some upgrades- TV’s were VERY dated, kitchen pots, pans, etc.. all very old, bathrooms dated and showers screeched when on- the pictures online definitely make it appear in better shape than it is. For our family- 2 adults and a 15 month old- it was totally fine and didn’t feel like we needed to tip toe around nice furniture or decor, although definitely arrived with higher expectations. We would return for this stage of our lives, but would look for a more updated property if it were just my husband and I/ older family! The Harbor Island community is remote and the perfect beach getaway, nearest grocery store is 20 mins back into town, and only a couple restaurants close by, so definitely be prepared for grocery and cooking in! Thank you for a great stay!

Amazing location

Pros: It was a beautiful ocean front location. The large deck off the main floor was my favorite spot to sit and watch the ocean. The kitchen is large and the overall space seemed to be a good size for our group of six. We didn’t feel crowded. Cons: The beds were the most uncomfortable that I have ever slept in. The mattresses definitely need replacing. Every single person in our party complained daily about the beds. Also, it is quite a drive to civilization. Expect 20-30 minutes to get to a grocery or convenience store. Be wary of the bugs on the top floor balcony. It isn’t screened in so the bugs will eat you alive. The TVs are very small as well if you plan on watching much television. Overall, we had a great week here. The biggest problem was the awful mattresses, but the location and views made up for it.

Beautiful house/Terrible management company- BEWARE!

We have stayed at this lovely house before with no problems. Unfortunately this time was terrible. The property manager did let me know before we arrived that there was a problem with the AC and they fixed it but there was a bit of water damage on the stairs up to the house. I said no worries that we were fine as long as the AC worked. We did not receive the info to check in and I had to reach out to property manager to get it. Once we arrived, we discovered that the house was NOT clean- the toilets were disgusting and we found later that the downstairs bedroom sheets ON THE BED were dirty and (later) we found that in one of the upstairs closets there was a bag of dirty sheets- they were definitely dirty because they smelled like body odor (the property manager later told me they were just old....). The laundry room had a strange and disgusting smell. Various things in the house were broken or not working properly (toilet paper holder, shower curtain liner, oven, Driveway gate, closet doors off track, outside hose broken, and an appliance had broken buttons). All of the doors on the back of the house were unlocked and the door to the deck’s handle was broken. I emailed the property manager about some of these and other issues that night and said nothing seemed dangerous. No one responded for a few days, and then they basically said thanks for telling us. I responded the same day with more issues we found throughout the week- including the dirty sheets in the closet, and that I was very disappointed no one responded about the dirtiness of the house. They didn’t respond until TEN days later- the week after our stay- and her snarky email claimed the sheets were just old and that she had been there when the house was cleaned. This is either a lie or she doesn’t understand that clean means toilets are cleaned with cleaner and a Brush and that sheets are removed and washed with detergent before putting back on. She also said the house has new owners that had left old sheets behind. I emailed after we left sharing that I found their response to be terrible and asked for resolution. This was 4 days ago. I will be reporting them to both VRBO and the BBB. This house IS beautiful and a great location. We LOVE harbor island but will not be using this property manager again. Beware!

Can't get closer to the beach

Had a great time with family, picked this property since we had an infant and didn't want to travel far to the beach. Only properties closer are already claimed by the ocean. Hopefully it will be there next year!

Perfect beach location for our family!

This house was perfect for our family - 2 adults and 2 kiddos under 4. The location could not be beat - easy walk down the boardwalk to the beach and a quick walk to the pool and playground. The island was big enough to give us space (which was important for us given covid) but small enough to make you feel right at home! The layout of the home was great for us too. My only feedback would be the home needs a deep clean (dusty plants, dusty ceiling fans, etc). It didn’t make our stay anything less than amazing - but a note to the owner so they are aware. Thank you for sharing not only this super cute beach house but the little known secret of Harbor Island with us. PS - Hunting Island was beautiful too!! And we are big fans of Another Slice for pizza 🍕

Harbor Island get away

We loved Harbor Island and this house would be just perfect with a little TLC. The room fans were filthy with dust and you could write your name on the top of the refrigerator. Both the king and queen beds need new mattresses, and the LR furniture is musty. Never been to a rental That provides no basic supplies (one roll of TP per bathroom, 1 dishwasher pod, no aluminum foil, no garbage bags, no cleaning supplies etc.

A week away

My husband, myself, and another couple stayed for a week at this beautiful property. Amazing back patio which is fully screened in. Large kitchen, nice sized bedrooms, and the upstairs made has a really nice outdoor area too. Private boardwalk to the quiet beach. Very private, quiet community. Exactly what we needed to have a peaceful getaway on the beach.

Beachwalk is a nice spacious house right on the beach. We really enjoyed the screened back porch - great place to chill and listen to the ocean.

Beach trip 2020

The pictures described the property perfectly. Very easy access to the beach, and loved the privacy and layout of the house. We definitely recommend this property to all beach goers that want privacy and all the comforts of home.

A little piece of Heaven

Comfortable and inviting home with everything we needed. The porches were the best! The convenience of being so close to the beach was amazing especially with a toddler. It was so relaxing. We had a wonderful week. We would definitely stay here again. If it had one more bedroom It would be the perfect spot for our vacations
