Overall, it was a nice place, however, there was no hot water in the kitchen, the freezer didn’t keep food frozen and one of the toilets ran the whole time. The view was great though!!

Beautiful

We loved this condo. The staff were very helpful and fast getting us checked in. The condo was clean and exactly like the pictures. The beds were comfy and so was the sofa. We played board games on the table and sat on the rocking chairs on the balcony drinking coffee. Our vacation was beautiful.

Our stay was excellent! The ocean view from both the master bedroom and living room was absolutely stunning. The condo’s location on the beach is perfect—right on the beach but not overly crowded. It fit our family of five comfortably with the pull-out bed in the living room, and we all felt right at home. The only hiccup was the hot tub, which wasn’t working at first, but after a few calls it was partially fixed. We hope the pool and hot tub continue to be well maintained—it’s clear the owners invest in the property. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone visiting South Padre Island!

Great stay

The condo was clean and comfy. It's nice to sit out and look out to the beach, which is very easy to get to. Come back from the beach and stop at the pool. The place needs a little updating but had all the amenities. Can walk to restaurants and general store to pick up supplies and some groceries. Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay!!!

This property was very nice. We loved how roomy the condo was, and especially all the room on the balcony. We were so thankful for the elevator, which made it so easy to reach the condo, and it was conveniently close to the elevator. We did not use it, but the laundry mat was very close to the condo as well, right out the door. The view from the balcony was so beautiful. The environment was nice and quiet for the most part, and the condo had everything we needed except for a good knife in the kitchen to cut our veggies with. My only criticism would be to supply some good knives for cook prepping. We will most likely stay there again when we head back down that way. We loved it and can't wait to go back.

The view is fabulous and the furniture is nice and comfortable. There was mold around the shower ceiling and on the ceiling vents. The outdoor furniture is not comfortable. I contacted the host who responded they contacted the property manager. 2 days went by with no communication or response from the host. I went to the property manager facility and they switched us to another room. Unfortunately the new room had the same mold issue. The building is older. I was not compensated for for what I had to deal with and the fact that the price for the stay was not equal to the accommodations as advertised. Don’t let the title of penthouse fool you.

Suntide II Great Stay

The property at Suntide II was very nice. Clean and amply furnished. We had an excellent stay. There are a lot of stairs to get down from the pool area which were difficult for both myself and my friend. Also, the matting out to the beach area was very worn and torn. My foot got caught in a tear and I took a bad fall. My friend also fell on the matt on a different day. It would be great to get the matts replaced.

I will say don’t waist your time reserving this place, that have no worries edible service We never got the condo we payed for, we had selected the condo on the top floor because it was better and ginger of course we payed more to have a better condo but they just told us that the AC in the unit didn’t work just giving us the run around day after day and eating to speak to the manger for days we never got the condo we wanted and they just promise a refund that until this this we haven’t got yet the administration in this place is just terrible

Overrated

I rented this condo based on the Reviews. 4.4 stars. No way. Not sure how it got so many 5 stars. Crazy. Let's start with the Kitchen. The cabinets belong in a landfill. The stove has 2 working burners. Only 1 of which is level. The microwave is sagging at the front. Very janky. The bedroom furniture is cheap and worn. The couch and love seat and worn and uncomfortable. The glass in the door leading to the patio has a very large crack. The master bath shower has low flow. The wire shelving in the master bath is too long so there is a hazard of bumping into the corner. The fix for that would be to shorten the shelving. No, they decided to take a washcloth and duct tape it to the corner to soften the blow to your head. This place is so overrated. The only positives are the location, the view, and the decor.

The room and view was more than we expected. Beachfront views and distance to the beach was very close. The room was very clean and comfortable with the decor being very nice. Beds were comfortable and rooms were very clean. Only problem was the freezer was not freezing well; melted our ice cream. All in all we will definitely be back.

Great view and location to restaurants!

Beds were comfortable and kitchen layout nice for spending time with family while in the kitchen. Convenient for doing laundry with little ones- the app allowed you to pay by Credit card! Overall a nice stay!
