Little Harbor is such a great little community. There are 2 restaurants with bars, a beach, a pool, and a marina with boat rentals. The townhouse was very clean. They supply the basic necessities for a couple of nights but you should bring toiletries. We had a very nice stay and would stay again.

Perfect Vacation Home

This was the perfect vacation spot for us!! The house was beautiful and 2 of the 3 balconies overlook the water. The owner was great and really accommodating with information for our boat. She even helped us rent a golfcart for our stay.

First Christmas away from home

Myself and my adult kids decided to have Christmas a bit different this year. I’ve visited Little Harbor before and despite the storm damage it’s still a great spot. We saw dolphins from the comfort of our balcony and the location provides beautiful views of the sunset.The home was perfect. Clean and well maintained. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. We will definitely choose this location again.

Disappointed

Arrived at the condo and the place was not clean. I was moved to a different condo. The location was not ideal given that it was not walking distance from the beach like the one I originally selected. I had to drive to the beach and the parking was not free even if I was renting.

The views were nice and the condo was clean. The property managers Mark and Carmen were very nice and responsive when we contacted them about lack of towels and some other questions. But the king bed was really uncomfortable and the carpet in the place badly needs replacing. There were almost no amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms - no hand soap, no hot pads, no salt/pepper, no Kleenex etc. The beach was nice. Not much to see or do in Ruskin. One onsite restaurant, Hooks, was inexpensive with great service and food. Save your time and money with the Sunset Grill which was dirty, not good service and overpriced.

Un inspiring

Needs to be more family accommodating, ie sitting area to small forfamily of six, kitchen needed more equipment, no beach towels , for pool area or beach. Brochures needs to be updated, pier not usable for the last two years, could not swim off complex beach due to contamination from power plant , turning the sea red. Could not fish any where on the complex due to many rules and regulations , being informed by residents you can’t due it here, you have to book a boat. The cleanliness of the apartment wasn’t to bad , however you don’t expect to find dirty underwear in main bedroom drawer. Overall stay could have been made better.

Beautiful Place!

We've stayed at Little Harbor many times & this beautiful, clean & appropriately stocked condo was the best to date! We enjoyed amazing views, plenty of sunshine and even dolphin sightings! In walking distance of pools and beach, it was the perfect place to spend a week away.

Great mix of everything we wanted

These townhouses are really nice. We stayed for a month and it really felt like home. Everything we needed was right there. Driving through Ruskin got us a little worried because there’s not much there, but when you pull into the Little Harbor development it’s just beautiful. There’s a lot of green space which we liked because we brought our dog along. It’s a very dog friendly area with “clean up stations” placed around the property. The house was clean (although I cleaned a little more). The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of linens and towels. The kitchen had everything we needed, although I don’t need much in a kitchen. Each of these townhouses has a view of a canal behind them. This one is located on a canal with a marina at the end and we loved watching the boats go by every day. We also saw dolphins and lots of cool birds. It’s so relaxing to have your breakfast on the water each morning. There are 2 shared pools that definitely need new chairs, although one person told me they had been ordered but weren’t there because of all the supply chain issues. But the pool is heated and clean and the one overlooks the water and we saw dolphins daily. There is also a cute little beach that has an off-shoot that is public. You can sneak your dog over to that part and let them play in the bay. Everything is crowded on the weekends, but relaxed during the week. This unit is very close to the pools, beach and restaurants and we found that to be very convenient. The two restaurants on site are great. We got frozen drinks at Hooks while we sat by the pool, and we watched many sunsets at Sunset and ate there a bunch. The live music nightly is generally very good and gives a great vacation vibe. We brought our bikes and used them a bunch. It was very safe riding around right out of Little Harbor and into nearby neighborhoods. We also rented kayaks in EG Simmons park that is very close by and kayaked with dolphins and manatees. We will definitely be back!

A Ruskin, a Tampa Bay area secret

I hesitate to write this review because I don't want this property or location to become too popular ;-) Little Harbor is great little waterfront community tucked into the east end of Tampa Bay south of Tampa in the town of Ruskin. Ruskin is a great place with wonderful people but it is not like Miami or any other glittzy tourist town which is why we like it. The townhouse is as advertised. Its clean, well appointed, and in a great location. Some of the past reviews mentioned a stained carpet, well the carpet we saw looked and smelled new, so no issues with the carpet. Lastly, Carmen, the property contact is a very pleasant and helpful person. She's excellent as the property contact.

Little Harbor Ruskin, FL June 2021

Property was well equipped with cook ware, utensils, etc. Really enjoyed having a balcony off every bedroom as well as off main floor. Check in process was flawless. I was very pleased with the condo itself. However, the pics were a lil deceiving when it came to the rest of the area. There really isn’t much of a “beach” on the resort, but we did go to Clearwater, which was about 1.5 hrs away and it was beautiful! I’m also glad the property was about a mile down from main road because the part of Ruskin it’s located in is not the best, lots of run down stores, properties etc. but again, the property area was nice with the marina and restaurant. Again, the condo worked for us but there were two adults and a four year old. The pics do make the property look bigger than it is, meaning I could not see more than 2-3 adults in there at a time. Overall it was a descent place to stay.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our annual friends (adult) trip to Ruskin. We had to find alternative accommodations due to the hotel being sold and this place was a wonderful alternative for us. Three bedrooms and three fulls baths was extremely helpful for each couple. There were a few problems but the host is very responsive and did the best she could. We enjoyed ourselves still!

Tampa Vacation

The townhouse was great. It was clean enough. The carpet was a bit stained, but that can be expected in a rental. Four beach towels were provided and 4 beach chairs were provided. I had to wash the wash clothes and bath towels because there didn't seem to be enough for our party of 7. We did a couple of day trips to Siesta Key and to Anna Maria Island. The drive was within 1 hour from those places to the rental. Communication was not great. Don't expect to hear back quickly if you have a question. We had problems getting into the pool. It has a locked gate and you need to have a pool card to access it. The card we had was deactivated and the front office would not activate it for us because it was from a private residence. I texted and messaged the owner and emailed her but didn't hear back until the following day. My kids were begging to go to the pool so we just walked over hoping someone would let us in. Luckily someone did, but you need a card to go out of the pool too so people were constantly having to get up and open the gate for us. The owner finally texted back the next day and said that she contacted the office. We went to the office to activate the card and the office told us we had to go through the owner. So frustrating. I think that they felt bad for us so the office gave us a card that would be activated for 1 day only. We had another problem with needing a parking pass. Security is at the gate by 9:00 pm so if you come in after that you will get stopped. We were told that we needed a parking pass, but the owner didn't provide one. Security wrote down our name and townhouse number. Be prepared for a few frustrating situations like this to occur. It seems like communication between owners and the resort wasn't great either. Overall we had a great time. The weather was great and we were able to see dolphins right outside our townhouse. We ate at both restaurants and they were good too.

Girlfriend Trip

Our experience was great. Not all inclusive of Ruskin or the property but Tampa and the surrounding areas mostly. The property was a place to relax after a day and a half of site seeing. We relaxed at the townhouse and hit the beach when we wanted to. The restaurants were just ok. The listing advertised some additional access to the pool, spa etc that we couldn't access because the pool pass was not made available to us which was very disappointing. Carmen and Mark were responsive but weren't able to get us the pool pass so that we could maximize our stay. I may be unfamiliar with vacation rentals and all that is included in terms of toilet paper, paper towel, extra towels or at least a set of towels for the number of people the unit can accommodate, but those things were unexpected expenses. We had to but garbage bags because there was only the 1 in the can, and dishwasher pods, and toilet paper. May I suggest that if only one role is supplied per bathroom, that there be either extra roles in the unit or a higher sheet count role of toilet paper. Lastly, perhaps being more specific in the listing or privately letting the guests know what it is stocked with so they can prepare financially for additional things. Thank you Mark and Carmen for being good responsive hosts. We understand that some things are out of your control. Otherwise a very well maintained property and beautiful views.
