Welcome to Sunnyside Up, a cozy 1-bedroom, 1-bath waterfront retreat perfect for couples (2 guests max). Located in a quietly tucked away neighborhood, this peaceful escape offers stunning water views, abundant bird watching, and easy access to Galveston, Kemah, NASA, and more.

Such an awesome place to stay! Very quiet, with its own fishing pier and platform - and I got some great bird photos from there also! And very convenient access to Highway 6, too.

This is a beautiful property! The location was far enough away for peace and quiet, but still close to all of the fun. The owners put a lot of effort into making the place a joy to stay. If you love birds and wildlife, this place is for you. We will definitely be returning.

Host was welcoming and responsive, my little bungalow had everything I needed and was so cozy! I thoroughly enjoyed the deck - watching the sunrise and sunset, listening to so many different types of birds, and enjoying a break from people. The electric fireplace added extra ambiance during the February evenings. I had a wonderful stay!

I’ll start off with WOW. The house was absolutely perfect. It felt like home away from home. Cozy and comfortable. The pictures online is exactly what you get. We arrived on Friday and didn’t go anywhere until we checked out on Monday. That’s how relaxing the atmosphere was there. Melanie is the perfect host. Communication before and during our stay was great. Thanks for sharing your property and I hope your next guest will appreciate such a wonderful experience. Will definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning as well.

I was so impressed with this cute and cozy Waterfront getaway. It was very clean and had a wonderful view of the Highland Bayou. I got to fish on the deck with plenty of shade and at night I fished from the top deck and enjoyed watching the fish swimming in the green light. It was very peaceful and I felt safe especially knowing that I could park within a gate and within view of security cameras. The little house was super clean and there were so many wonderful extra touches that made my stay extremely comfortable. I hope to stay at this location again in the near future and I highly recommend it for individual traveling or for couples just looking for a nice private getaway. I greatly appreciate it all the contact between the host and I they were always readily available if I had questions.

It was a clean home with a nice area for fishing in the bay. It was perfect for a couple getaway and had everything we needed to cook and enjoy the vacation. It was an older neighborhood but the neighbors we talked to were nice. The home is in low terrain and with the tidal surge from the storm, it did flood the property and road into the property. The host did alerts us to the pending flooding so we left to sightsee in Houston for the day and she offered us another location to park the car. The host was great, very responsive to any questions and helpful.
