I hope to come again when the wind is less but I was snug & very comfortable here. Delightful little place. Wonderful upstairs bedroom, great balcony. Beautiful lighting and and touches throughout. Perfect for one or two. Think of a hobbit house for regular sized people. Really charming.

It was a very quaint place, owners Don and Nancy were great…..Beautiful setting and location on Gulf!!!!! The only glitch was fixed IMMEDIATELY (air conditioner) and the kitchen was not stocked with the essentials like most VRBO’s (salt, pepper, a little bottled water to greet the guests, etc) We bought a nice frying pan, and basics for the next guest…..Also bought 2 other pillows and pillow covers so we had a variety and so the next guest can too…..Bed was comfortable…..The only major suggestion I would suggest would be a taller/handicap toilet…otherwise our visit was wonderful!!! We would not hesitate to come back…… Great hosts! As nice as it is to be home…. We are already missing it! THANK YOU Donald and Nancy!

Cute and cozy cottage near the water! The upstairs space is very comfortable and the balcony off of the bedroom has a nice view. The area is very quiet and it was a nice neighborhood for walking our dogs.

Very hospitable host! Enjoyed the fishing and crabbing. Wonderful eating experience at Top Water Grill and Noah’s Ark! Loved the views of the bay, both at the restaurants and the cottage. Quiet, calm and relaxing stay! I highly recommend visiting there and would like to return again.Glynda

La Petit Maison was the best place we could have chosen to stay for just the two of us! We had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. The view of the bay and the pier were such a treat! I only regret that we didn't have enough time to fish from the pier on this stay but we will definitely be back with our fishing gear on our next visit. Our hosts were lovely and we're so grateful they shared their beautiful property with us. I highly recommend booking La Petit Maison if you're visiting the area and looking for a cozy, waterfront getaway!

Husband, dog and I were in the Galveston Bay area looking for houses. La Petit Maison was perfect for our stay. Comfortable, clean, and quiet. Very efficient A/C units were on when we arrived. We walked along the short private walkway to the private deck and private pier a number of times for beautiful views of the bay, sunrise, and sunset. Notable extras include neighborhood location (wonderful for walking our dog) great indoor lighting for evenings, and lots of bath towels and racks for hanging.

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay and found the house to be perfectly located to go to the beach, kemah boardwalk, the Houston space center, explore downtown and go to museums.

The place was awesome! Our only regret is we had too much going on with family to enjoy it more. The hosts were super accommodating. We had to change our reservation and add a day. They made it happen. Then we arrived at an unusual hour and again, very helpful and accommodating to our situation. I fear we may have been a little high maintenance at first but hopefully we left on good terms. We come to the area annually and will definitely be looking to book this one again. Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your wonderful place.

Stayed here for a family reunion. Our family rented several houses in this area. We had a wonderful time here. It was great coming back to this house at the end of the day, super clean, and a great bed. Having a super comfie bed makes a huge difference! Would definitely stay here again. Thanks to hosts❤️

This was an incredible stay for a trip of fishing and relaxation! This property was perfectly peaceful!! I read and watched the water while my husband fished, and we could not have picked a better place!! The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular!! The owners were on site and a phone call away if we needed anything, but we did not! Most special part was on Friday night, there were fireworks at the Kemah Boardwalk, and we could see them from the property so easily! We will certainly return, and I’m counting down the days until then!

Don and Nancy Greenstein: We are an educated and retired (33 years married) couple that live year round in the main residence on the property. Don is a native Houstonian whose family summer vacationed in the Galveston Bay area since the 1950s, Nancy is a retired business-owner from Ft. Wayne, IN. We have lived in the Galveston Bay area together for many years. The area is private, romantic and relaxed; the climate is semi-tropical with warm bay breezes year round. We enjoy boating, dining, golfing and family activities on the property and on Galveston Bay.

Don is a Houston native and has vacationed in the Bacliff/Bayview/Kemah, TX area all his life. I love the area's climate, water entertainment access and relaxed style of living. The seafood dining in the area is unmatched in the state of Texas. The productivity of offshore fishing in the Gulf of Mexico off the Galveston coast is unmatched in the U.S. The South Texas coast is the premier site saltwater entertainment mecca of the Houston area and South eastern Texas. This property has the best view (270 degree) of the Galveston Bay and the Houston Ship Channel that runs though it. Annually, on Fridays in the months of June and July there are waterfront hour-long fireworks displays that are visible from our waterfront decks. The wildlife (sea gulls, pelicans, porpoises) behavior displays from our decks are phenomenal.

It is competitively priced and combines privacy, seclusion and cozy accommodation for a weekend get-away for busy working couples, honey-moon and anniversary couples either for short or extended stays. The panoramic views of Galveston Bay are exclusive to this property. We have operated this vacation rental for ten of the fifteen years we have lived here to rave (mostly five-star) reviews from locals and out-of-town travelers alike.
