On the first level, the beach view is obstructed almost completely. The door hardware and strike to the room are in bad shape, the wood in the jamb has a large crack going vertically. This makes the door not very secure. It is sloppy and didn’t give the wife a real secure feeling. A shoulder into the door would most likely open it. We did call to about the door and they did offer to send a maintenance guy over, however it is not a 10 minute fix. They would need new materials and hours to do it correctly. The foot stool had chunks of pleather missing. Well now to the good, it is in a great location. The place was not super clean but good enough. Furniture is pretty old but again, good enough. Beach access was easy and as described. You have to wash your own towels and supply trash bags, toilet paper etc. which was not a deal breaker. The kitchen was fitted out nicely. Pool area was also nice. This was our first time in Hilton Head so unsure if it was worth the money. Overall not a bad experience but would seek other options next time.
