Meadowview Solar Haven — Private Mountain Retreat Near Thomas, West Virginia



Enjoy exclusive use of Meadowview Solar Haven, a spacious vacation home on 2.1 peaceful acres in Tucker County. Located just 2 miles from Thomas and 4 miles from Davis, the home offers privacy and quiet while keeping you close to Blackwater Falls, Canaan Valley, Dolly Sods, local restaurants, galleries, live music, hiking, biking, and skiing.



The property has a 20.7 kW grid-tied solar power system and remains connected to the electrical grid.



The entire home is reserved for your group and includes three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, two living rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, dining areas, and comfortable gathering spaces. The home accommodates families and small groups, with flexible sleeping arrangements for up to 10 guests.



Sleeping arrangements for up to 10 guests:

Main master bedroom: one king bed and one pull-out twin cot with mattress.

Middle master bedroom: two twin beds and one pull-out twin cot with mattress.

Downstairs guest room: one full-size bed.

Living room: one queen-size self-inflating air mattress. The cots and air mattress are supplemental sleeping spaces, not additional full-size beds.



Relax on the expansive 85-foot covered porch overlooking the meadow and mountain scenery. Explore the grounds, sit beside the creek, enjoy the creekside tea pavilion, or try the private catch-and-release fishing pond. In the evening, gather around the firepit beneath the stars.



After a day of adventure, unwind in the private six-person hot tub located inside the garage-converted lounge. The space includes comfortable seating and a large-screen TV, making it a welcoming spot for relaxing, movie nights, and rainy-day entertainment.



The home features individual heating and cooling systems, Starlink internet, multiple televisions with streaming services, outdoor grills, supplied firewood, and a coffee and tea station. The downstairs bedroom provides a convenient option for guests who prefer minimal stairs.



Meadowview Solar Haven is a peaceful home base for exploring the best of Tucker County—or simply slowing down and enjoying the property. Your host lives nearby and is available when needed while respecting your privacy throughout your stay.

Our family had a wonderful time. The host was very accommodating and responsive with any questions we had. Such a beautiful home and the property was relaxing. Blackwater Falls was only 10 minutes from the house. Thankyou so much for the stay we will definitely be back.

Great location near Thomas/Davis! Big, beautiful yard with large porch to relax. The house was very clean and the kitchen was quite large. Hot tub area is wonderful for a rainy or cold night with plenty of room to hang out! Great communication with the host!

This place was absolutely beautiful. Big house lots of property and very quiet neighborhood. Lots of deer to see throughout the day. Host was very nice as well as helping out with swimming. The house is huge and very clean.

The host was very welcoming and available if we needed anything. The house was well-stocked with coffee and tea supplies, creamers, games, including playing cards, and much more, so it was clear he was a caring host.

The home was extremely welcoming and the decor was my favorite part. Vince is an outstanding host who responded immediately to any questions that I had. The house was fully stocked with every single thing that we needed. The coffee bar was a nice feature. My family enjoyed the hot tub in the garage. The house has more than enough space to spread out. We had a wonderful time at this home. It was conveniently located and made a great home base for two groups doing separate outings, but I believe one of mine and my husband's favorite things was sitting out by the pond and enjoying the beautiful property the host has. It was beautiful and peaceful.

Today, I own a riverfront campground along the Dryfork River in Parsons, as well as this mountain retreat with a 20.7 kW grid-tied solar power system designed for comfort, relaxation, and connection to the outdoors. I appreciate thoughtful design, clean and comfortable spaces, and the little details that make a stay feel special — but I also believe in slowing down, enjoying the fresh air, and embracing the magic of the mountains. Whether it’s hiking, exploring hidden swimming spots, or simply relaxing on the porch at sunset, this area has so much to offer. At Meadowview Solar Haven, you’ll find a peaceful setting with creeks, a private catch-and-release fishing pond, and sweeping meadow views from the covered back porch — all just minutes from Thomas, Davis, and Canaan Valley.
